We walked down a long alley area and came upon an outdoor space with a few tables and chairs and picnic tables. We sat at one and a couple went in to order drinks. Most of our party had some local beers, which they enjoyed. I had a rhubarb gin with sparkling water, which was very refreshing. The bartender was great. I didn't make it inside, but it looked like they had some small rooms with more seating. We saw some people with food, so they had a few options for snacks with your beverage. It was fairly quiet outside and we enjoyed relaxing for a bit.

The Grove benefits from limited opening times - Yes, it benefits from them…read more Rather than being open, all day and everyday, for one drinker, or standing empty and using heat and light, it only opens when folk will normally be out drinking, or for special occasions. I have always found the Grove to be spotlessly clean, warm, and inviting. Kevin and his staff are helpful, good humoured, and add to the pleasant and safe feel of the place. Prices are very reasonable, with most drinks available. When we have been at functions with a buffet, the food has always been good too. The Grove is a real undiscovered gem in the residential heart of Tweedmouth - long may it shine.
