I had the same exact experience as the other 1 star ratings listed here. I paid in SEPT 2016 and had the run around until FEB 2017, when I finally filed a complaint with my credit card and got the money back. It was sob story after sob story..... death in the family, photo of a wrecked car, sick daughter, travel to be with dying father.... I believed it all. I was so disappointed and frustrated.... I saw that he seemed to change his business name to Farm House Tables and More Don't waste your time and energy with this company! Update- I see Todd posted a reply. Please know, I'm not disgruntled and I DO NOT LIE. It's a shame because he did do a table for my friend and it's beautiful so I was hopeful this was going to work out and that is why I was so patient. After all the BS he and his son told me, I'm not surprised he would post a poor me reply. Ex: payment Feb 19th, and still no agreement for a timeframe for receipt of table and it's April 13th. Gaps in communication from March 3rd to March 24th, etc. I found Todd Harrigan's online shop, YGB Customs, via Craigslist. Called up and spoke with Todd at length, listened to his story of how woodwork is his passion, how he makes tables with his daughter. It all seemed pretty wholesome. I told Todd I would very likely be placing an order with him in the next few days. We hung up. I started receiving text messages from Todd saying he ordered my wood and was awaiting my official payment online. Chipper, friendly texts wherein he would offer to throw in extras like a shelf or two from the spare wood. "Why not?!" he wrote "No use in wasting the extra wood!" This should have given me pause as I had said on the phone I was very close to certain I would be ordering but I never said yes. However, I started to second guess myself and think maybe I should have been more clear with this man. He ordered the wood already! Wow. He seemed so nice, I thought I better send this man money (he said he had to order quickly because the wood has to dry and altogether it could take 6 or so week to get my table, 8 at the very most). This is how I rationalized his hasty behavior. I paid him. $625 on February 19th, 2017 in exchange for his agreement to make me a 7 foot farmhouse table. That was the last time I heard from Todd without having to first initiate contact. Mind you, in the handful of days between our initial sales conversation and me actually sending money, he had contacted me several times to pursue payment. Now, after paying, it was silence from Todd. Unless I wrote to him. He did reply each time I wrote, but never with any specific information and often the communication was some form of put-off or delay. Still, nothing from him unless I reached out. This was all via text. For calls, he would not call me, even though I asked him to. Only texts. When I told him I was getting concerned he blew me off "Why are you concerned Liz? I cut and stain wood 16 hours a day, it's hard to return calls." Um...maybe because I sent a stranger from the internet hundreds of dollars and communication has been shady/spotty ever since? I began pursuing a reliable timeframe for receipt of the table from Todd, again via text. I asked him for a receipt via email. He would provide neither. Instead, he began mansplaining to me the nuances of woodwork (drying time, etc). I stated that I did not need a lesson in woodwork, I was instead pursuing any timeframe whatsoever for receiving the table I paid for. A receipt. A phone call. He put me off and put me off. More than once he told me he had to go "test the wood again" and would get right back to me. Then I would not hear from him at all. I went back to his website where I had paid him and it's now locked. You can't get in without a password. ***Please note, today is April 13th today and I paid Todd on February 19th. Today, I finally called my bank and had them put the money back into my account. I texted Todd to inform him that the money is back in my account and since he did not want to talk to me, he can now talk to the bank. They will be calling him to get their money back. Then I blocked his number. Do I think he would have eventually sent me a table? Maybe. Can't be sure really. But this man is arrogant and condescending to his customers. He gaslights you, not taking ANY responsibility for his behavior and then trying to twist it so that you feel crazy. Do not buy from this vendor. read more

I was also scammed. Not going to bore everybody with the same comments as left below. Paid him 1300 for a table because he needed the money to "order the wood". 6 months later the only reply I got was that his shop burned down, daughter got sick and numerous other excuses. His lawyer contacted me telling that he's been through a lot. Well if that's the case than he should stop taking peoples money. This man takes all of your money upfront and then doesn't deliver!! Buyers beware. I am out $600 on a piece that was supposed to be made for me. I ordered from this man a table 3 years ago. First 3 weeks the conversation and updates went well. A month later and the conversations became once a week , once every two weeks with me having to call , text or chase him down . After 3 months , i got no update from this man. I had to go to remediation to get my money back. To make it short , i wasted 3 months of waiting and in the end i got nothing. Caveat Emptor ! read more

Purchased a 12' dining table from YGB just in time for Thanksgiving last year. 2 Weeks later several cracks started developing in the table top. Owner refused to claim any responsibility for shoddy craftsmanship and accused me of purchasing the table to use for the holidays and then destroying it with the intent of pursuing a refund. This is absolutely false. We ate one meal at this table before it started to fall apart. The owner is unprofessional and the product is now rendered unusable as it is falling apart. read more

I've waited over two years to post this, because I wanted to wait until we moved out of our building. I'll skip what everyone else has already covered and get to the worst part of our experience - the harassment from Todd's son and shakedown for extra $$$. After waiting MONTHS for our table, we finally had to threatened to demand a refund via our credit card company. Only then were told it would be delivered. Great! Tod's daughter coordinates the delivery. A delivery fee was never, ever, mentioned. We lived close enough to the Bayonne shop that we figured this was a courtesy considering how severely overdue the table was. After dropping off and installing the table, Todd's son left, got in his car, and then started texting us asking for a $175 delivery fee. A fee we never discussed or agreed upon. My husband told him to have his dad contact us and we'd discuss. Thinking it must be a mistake. No, the son started harassing my husband over text and threatening to bring his buddy "who's in the police academy" upstairs to take back the table. At this point, we had to call the cops as 1) seems like either his buddy is impersonating a police officer or already grossly abusing his power and 2) this was just harassment at this point. This may be a "family" operation alright, but it's a family of wheelers and dealers. read more

I actually google YSB Tables so I could recommend Todd's work to someone in a moms' group. I was surprised to find so many negative reviews. In fairness to the other reviewers, we did have a similar communication/expectation problem with Todd. We ordered the table early Feb, was supposed to come by March 10th, it finally got to us in April. This was after many a contentious text conversations and I too, felt Todd wasn't taking responsibility for his lack of communication and failure to deliver on time. However, I don't think he was lying or trying to steal from us. I think he likely took on too much, got behind because of family issues and instead of dealing with it like a mature adult and business owner, he got defensive and rude. That being said, his work was beautiful. He drove into NYC to deliver and level our table and it was EXACTLY what we wanted. Table still in excellent condition 7 months later. We get many compliments on it. I think if you want Todd's custom work - be prepared to wait. He's a great carpenter but a poor business man. I think he is a nice person overall though and tries to be honest. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this LIAR! I am having the same issue with Todd. My story is the same as the others. Todd had completely ignored and blocked my number. Even when I try to call him on other phones he would pick up and give me a sad story (death in family, a leak at his warehouse..etc) now that I have read these reviews. I believe Todd is just liar. He made me a table in June 2016 now it's October 2017. We paid $800 in full. He made and delivered our table with agreement that he would come back and stain the table as I needed to wait a season to let it dry. I can't get in touch with him! And I see he post his business on Facebook and Instagram as a new company called "Farmhouse Tables and More". Regarding this reply to another reviewer on yelp, please don't believe Todd! He is a liar and unreliable! He will take your money and will not finish his work. Such a disappointment as I could of gotten him a lot of clients. They are very nice, eager to get your money in the beginning and all enthused about making it.... here we are six months later, no table. They have tons of excuses, I am filing small claims. as they have not returned my money as requested... and yes he likes pay pal because if too much time passes you have no recourse. I wish I had read all of these reviews before I placed an order and paid in full almost one year ago. I paid in full on October 31, 2016. Unfortunately, on November 17 I was involved in a pedestrian or no accident. My injuries were so severe that I was hospitalized almost 7 months. Shortly after the accident I reached out to Todd and asked him to please hold off on making my furniture. He was agreeable and I kept in touch with him occasionally throughout my entire recovery. In June of this year, I reached out to him to ask when we could proceed now with the completion of my furniture. Bottom line, I have yet to be able to meet with him to pick out the stain and finish of my table, bench, and sofa table. I have been texting with him and to be honest, most of the time, I do not hear from him. I have recently heard from him where he explained the reason for the delay was that his child was sick. He also reminded me of how he was considerate and patient with me while I had my medical issues. I told him I understood and I would keep his daughter in my prayers. However that was almost one month ago and I still have not heard from him like one of the other reviewer's on this site, I keep texting and getting a response I have every text from the very beginning. I'm starting to believe I have no other alternative but to get my credit card company involved because he was paid in full almost one year ago and I still have no merchandise. UPDATE Bottom line. Paid in full in October 2016 for furniture that was to be custom-made. Began communication after my accident in June 2017. Still do not have my furniture and here it is March 11, 2018. To those who are looking to get a custom made dining table for your family and have ended up at YGB Customs under Mr. Todd Harrigan please take a couple of minutes to read the following true and accurate account of my family's experience before making your decision. Should I be asked about this person and this business my advice will be DO NOT PART WITH YOUR MONEY BEFORE YOUR GOODS ARE DELIVERED! Summary: I will be brief yet will consider providing more details if needed depending on request. We paid Mr. Harrigan $1,672.50 out of $2,230 in Oct. of 2017 and almost a year later we have nothing to show for it. What's worse after 10 months of efforts to reach him and great difficulty getting him to respond to just a couple of messages - where we are today is not getting the product, not getting our money back (after he promised to refund) and having filed a complaint against him with New Jersey's Better Business Bureau and the New Jersey's Department of Consumer Protection. We have just learned from the NJ Dept of Consumer Protection's mediator that Mr. Todd Harrigan's business is in bankruptcy proceedings. This means we will now have to wait for the proceedings to figure IF and WHEN we may get our money back. I would not be surprised if we may join a number of other people and businesses who are owed money by Mr. Harrigan. As of today the prospects of getting our product or the money are very bleak! Particular Caution: We noticed four other reviews (S. Jeromy, 5/21/18; I.Wesley, 5/30/18 and G. Randee, 5/3/2018 and A. Justin 3/4/2018) all reporting experiences similar to ours - having paid the money and not getting the goods. The point I wish to make is these four transactions all happened months AFTER Mr. Harrigan had informed us that he will refund our money after giving us the same stories of daughter hospitalized and gravely ill; his workshop being gutted and finally saying he will refund out money. Had it not been for finding Liz's post, who knows how long I would have held out on Todd and receiving my table. I first connected with Todd on January 27th. He could not have been more convincing to use his services and I immediately paid him the very same day. Fast forward 3 months later, still no table, still no timeline. I realize now that he even sent me a stock photo from their website assuring me that "my table" was on it's way. He also exploited his family and personal issues to gain sympathy and further throw me off the track. He is a modern day swindler, with absolutely no credibility. I have contacted my bank and the refund is in the works and I intend reach out to the Better Business Bureau in order to try and have their business closed. At the end of the day, had there been any issues or delays with my items, I would have been open to hearing it had there been any communication or truth to his lies. I've honestly never had anything like this happen to me and cannot believe I'm not the first. Please keep posting your grievances so this doesn't happen to someone else. I ordered a tv cabinet months ago and have since tried to contact Todd Harrigan. He does not pick up the phone after he takes your money. I talked to him for 20 mins when I placed my order and he seemed very trustworthy and confident in his business. He had said it was a 4-6 week turnaround time. He had promised that I would have swatches of stain colors 2 weeks after I placed my order. Months after I still have not received them and on the off chance that he at least returned a text he had lied about them being sent. He said they were sent priorty mail more than once. When I had kept trying to get in touch with him eventually another phone number responded and said that he left his cell phone in the shop and he wasn't there. This person just kept saying that they were helping out. He was tending to his sick daughter and wouldn't be available. This person would never answer a phone either and I got some weird answering service when I called it. They said that they don't answer the phone after the order is placed. His voicemail is full so you can't even leave a message. Another excuse was that they didn't have the wood for the swatches that there was a shortage...after weeks and weeks of promises I was told it was at least another 2 weeks to be finished after the colors were picked. Swatches never sent to date. Finally I requested that my order be canceled because the continuous lies which include additional ones that aren't listed. When I requested it that's when a text was returned to talk to his lawyer. No information was provided for her only that she would contact me. A week later she did via email with some ridiculous statement...again...no contact from him or swatches or information on building the cabinet. That appears to be frozen but no intention of refunding money. I unfortunately paid with a check in advance which I never would have done had I known. He said he doesn't pay the tax if it was a check rather than through PayPal or credit card. I would NEVER recommend this business which has also changed names and WEBSITES! In the meantime, it appears that I am reporting this business to the Better Business Bureau and needing to file a claim to get my money back. read more

We ordered three pieces from Todd. He did not get any of them correct. He send a delivered a console table that was not done as pictured. He sent his children to deliver a bench that was a "Mock up". He discussed and wrote down incorrect notes for a table we ordered. He is defensive, unprofessional and a liar. He said things happened that did not. We are dealing with banks to get some of our money back. He also removed our listings from the computer. He became hostile when talking to my husband and then hung up on hiim refusing to claim any repsonsibility for the mistakes. read more
