We stop at The Yellow Hammer for Fried Chicken Livers whenever we're traveling on I-65. They're always very tasty. Our only disappointment is when they're out of Fried Chicken Livers. We've also gotten Black-eye peas, Fried Chicken, Fried Fish, Okra, Rolls, and Hamburgers. They've all been very good. read more

I stopped here returning from a recent road trip. I don't recommend using their restrooms. They were nasty! The gas pumps were functional and most importantly, provided my receipt. Love the name , Yellow hammer. They sell hot food and have all your normal gas station snacks. read more

so insanely gross. when you walk into the women's room you're immediately hit with hot humidity and the stench of pee. a woman in there said that they're all dirty and to not even go into the big one because somebody used it and it was clogged. i had to go across the street to the much cleaner circle k. i was shocked and grossed out that the yellow hammer had gotten so bad. save yourself the time (and your lunch if you have a weak stomach) and go across the street. read more

Gas station with a good convenance store attached. Clean location, big selection of snacks and drinks, but slow to get you out. Good amount of pumps and the bathrooms were ok... not bucees clean but not disgusting either. read more

We travel a great deal and this WAS always our " almost home" stop. I'm guessing in the last 3 years they have gotten new owners ( not American) . Depends on when you arrive whether there is fresh food. Had chicken tenders twice. They were hot and fresh once. Greens were OK. Fish was good. Charged $1.14 for just a cup of ice. Most fuel places charge for the cup; about 50 cents. read more

The food was just meh. The woman behind the food counter (the fat redhead) needs to work on her customer service skills. She was clearly miffed she had to speak to and serve someone. I noticed her with the same attitude with other customers. Honey if you hate your job so much then quit. For now on I'll just stick with the Creek Ambest down at exit 54. The manager turned us away saying the store was closed as we entered the facility. As pulled away, we saw that other customers had pulled up to the convenience store, bought gas and were allowed inside. We could only deduce that we were treated differently because of our race. Shame! read more

The bathroom was super dirty I ask them to clean it because I was pregnant the lady behind the window had a stink face and say what I ask her to do like I told her to clean the whole bathroom the place was so filthy and I had to bring my husband in there to clean a bathroom stale in the men's bathroom just for me to sit down and pee in peace I don't recommend this place the people in there don't welcome you as family thank you read more
