Need to make a complain. I was driving to work on 7/13/2026 and cab # 183 was tailgating me from causeway blvd all the way to channelside by the Tampa port that everytime i went to put on my breaks or slow down that the driver had to swerve behind me because he was so close to me that he left himself no room to stop safely. I was scared the whole drive that he would hit the back of my car. The driver needs more driving training as I was nice but someone else may not be that nice. I have a pict of how close he was to my car. read more

Two Different Times Within A Month I Called And Reserved A Taxi To The Cruise Port. Both Times I Called Two Days Early And CONFIRMED That They Had My Reservation. They Were Fifteen Minutes Late, They Said The Driver Broke Down And They Would Send ANOTHER Taxi "As Soon As Possible" Which Turned Out To Be FORTY FIVE MINUTES PAST The Scheduled Time. On The Second Time I Called A Day Before And CONFIRMED The Ride. Once Again I Called After They Were LATE By Ten Minutes. And Was Told "There Are None Available, I'll Call When We Can Pick You Up." This Company Should Be FORCED OUT OF BUSINESS!! These Complaints Are WHY UBER And LYFT Are Popular! YELLOW CAB......YOUR COMPANY SUCKS!! GO OUT OF BUSINESS!! read more

NEGATIVE stars! Do NOT call them. I called for a taxi, two hours before I had to be at my destination, only a few miles from my home. I was going to do a round trip to my pharmacy and back, as I was out of my medication. I was told it would be a half hour. No cab showed up. I called back and was told it would be another 20-25 minutes. No cab showed up. I didn't bother calling again. No cab EVER showed up. If I didn't find other transportation, I could be dead from a stroke or heart attack. Thanks for nothing, Yellow Cab. read more

Scam company! Beware. Not regulated. No meter in the car.. I had to tell the driver where to go , even though I don't live here! He sat on the phone with his girlfriend or wife the entire ride. When we arrived he only took cash and quoted a crazy price!! I gave him what little cash I had because I thought I would be charging the ride ? Somebody needs to investigate how this company is taking advantage of tourists!!!! read more

3 cabs in a row said they wouldn't take me to MacDill air force base, 99 & 114 & 14. Not military friendly.

Taxi #181 ZERO STARS I decided to take a yellow cab to the Grand Hyatt this morning. Driver told me that it is a minimum $20 fare from the airport. I thought that was a bit high, but agreed. Then, arrived at the hotel, and was told he did not take a credit card. "System Down!" Really? At least I had a $20. No tip. This was a cash scam off the meter. Meter was off. Taxi #181. read more

I called the day before to schedule a taxi to take my wife and me to the airport to go on a vacation. They were supposed to come at 8 AM. They didn't. By calling them several times, I managed to get a taxi to come by 8:40 AM. If I hadn't put a margin for safety in my times, it might have been very difficult to make my flight. This is bad service. read more

Two days in advance, our family had scheduled for our wheelchair-bound, 88 year-old mother to be picked up and transported to her birthday party where 45 people from multiple states had gathered to celebrate with her. We were notified 10 minutes before scheduled pickup that no one would be coming as no one was available. TEN MINUTES!!!! After scrambling we were able to get mom alternate transportation and to her party. When we called to complain after the event, we were told "oh well, sorry". We will not recommend Yellow Cab to anyone. We recommend you also find someone else to meet your transportation needs. read more

Tampa Airport to west side of downtown Tampa. Driver did not use meter. Wanted $35 for a trip that was less than $20 using upscale Uber. Avoid using this company for you can. Car #149. Read all the reviews...there is a pattern here. read more

This is a terrible service do not use them they do not pick up customers on time for scheduled rides. They can't get cabs there in a time frame of half an hour. 1000% unreliable and I am amazed how they are still in business. I called to speak to a manager multiple times none are over there and they never give me a call back to address my concerns. Do not use them you will most certainly be disappointed. They get a rating of 0 out of 10 read more

It is now 3:00, June 14, 2018. I have already called twice and I am still waiting for my scheduled 2:00 pick-up with Yellow Cab of Tampa. We are not getting off to a good start here. Update: At 3:40 the cab arrived. Needless to say I missed my appointment with the doctor so no need for the cab. I felt terrible telling the driver. He gets the short end of the stick. This has not been a good experience. I will never again chose this company. A good cab company gets you to where you need to be one time. Yellow Cab of Tampa was not able to do that today and I will not set myself up for this a second time. read more

This rating is for the tampa location only I was changed $80 to go from tampa airport to st pete beach! Am I the only one who thinks thats outrages??!!!! Absolutely not will I ever use a cab in Florida read more

I will NEVER call yellow cab again!! I called them the day before I needed to go to Tampa airport for a 4:45 am pick up. I called at 4:45 to make sure cab would be on time. I was put on hold then the operator told me she could not reach the driver. But would try again. When I called at 5am he still could not be reached. But said there were other drivers available. At 5:10 NO ONE one could be reached!! At 5:15 we had to leave so we had to take our own car & had to park in short term parking cause we were so late. We were on vacation for 10 days so parking cost us $220!!! We were so upset that the cab never showed & that we were never informed, we had to call them. I never had a problem in the past but I will never call them again. Poor business! I wouldn't even give them one star. read more

Took a taxi from the airport. There was no identification or displayed meter in the car and when we arrived at my destination he quoted an exorbitant rate. He then told me he only wanted cash and would charge more for a credit card. He then didn't have enough change. I feel like I got ripped off. I thought Yellow Cab drivers, especially from the airport, would be regulated and standardized. Awful experience. No wonder everyone uses Uber these days. I certainly will next time. read more

When you give the phone number to the operator and she gives it to the driver wrong, that is a problem. When you give the operator the address and tell her the restaurant is behind the hotel and she does not pass that along to the driver there is a problem. Be careful in Tampa, there are very few cabs and companies like this are driving business to UBER. read more

This review is mostly for the customer service associates and management at Yellow Cab. The drivers are independent contractors and I have never had any issues with the drivers. The customer service agents/management do not communicate with the drivers and do not know the laws the cab drivers have to follow due to them being independent contractors. Don't bother making a reservation as you will be misinformed. read more

I give it three stars bc the phone help was fine but the cab driver was on a personal call when he arrived and did not help load the luggage into his small trunk. We were quoted $25 from hotel to port and was told the driver would take credit cards, but of course, when we got there, he said no to the credit card. read more

The drivers will try to scam you. I had looked up rates from the official Tampa International Airport Ground Transportation site. They stated: "The minimum fee from the airport is $19. There is a flat rate fee of $30 to downtown Tampa." We were going to a hotel 3.4 miles away so I assumed the cost would be $19. Not cheap but it is what it is. We got in the cab and the driver told us it would be $30. I said "that is the cost to go downtown" (9 miles away). He then said downtown was $40. We got out of the car. We called Lyft and the cost was $14.78. No one likes to be taken advantage of. Avoid this company. read more

Yellow Cab absolutely stinks. I reserved a cab four days in advance. It never showed, and I called twice to ask what was wrong. The first time they said it was on the way. The second time the call cut off. They never called back or answered my subsequent email. Never again. They don't deserve the protection they get from the corrupt government. read more

I had a wonderful experience with the company. The supervisor called me 15 minutes before I was scheduled to leave to confirm that the driver would be pulling up in front of my house in about 5 minutes. The driver was excellent, with just the "right amount of talking" :D. The best part was that the supervisor called me once I was dropped off, to confirm that I was dropped at the right location, which to me added a personal touch that I was not expecting. read more

Ridiculous.. The Driver took me 2 miles and asked for $30. Never again. He didn't have device to show price. He was also sketchy.

My husband and I arrived at the Tampa Airport Saturday night at 6:30. We collected our luggage and went the taxi cab pick up area close to the Southwest luggage belt. There were 2 taxis that said yellow cab on the side , we were directed to go to the first one. We got inside and immediately noticed how very old, worn and filthy the car was. As we started the ride to our home in Safety Harbor, we noticed the cab had no meter, no tablet computer , no identification of the driver. We were a little scared so when the driver with a foreign accent dropped us off at our home, he asked us for $60 cash only. I pulled up the video footage from my 2 ring cameras, there were no numbers on the cab, it was a fake and we could have been robbed! I called Yellow Cab but they didn't seem concerned. From now on we will only use Lyft!!!! read more

Only cab that responded after calling and leaving messages for several others! Great driver too!

Update July 8! So yet again my trip was cancelled by this company, I prescheduled it for this morning at 615am last night. I called because it got cancelled or should I say the driver marked he completed the trip and I proceed to call and they start looking for a driver at 615 (my pick up was supposed to be 615) I made it to work ten mins late thanks to them! I'll never use them ever again. I will just use lyft or Uber because they're reliable!!! Whatever you do, don't use this horrible colony with the worst customer service possible. They do nothing to fix the situation but give excuses! If I could rate 0 stars I would! Up until today I had no issue, but after waiting 30mins and the driver cancelling our trip without warning, calling the company up seeing the issue (she was supposed to get us a new driver) never did, so we waited 30+ minutes then decided to lyft. I used to use you guys often for work and small errands but after the issue today and poor customer service I'll take my loyalty elsewhere! You have now lost a loyal customer because you failed to provide the service we deserve! Anyways stay clear of yellow cab! They'll cancel rides after 30min of waiting! read more

Ghetto company. I don't think they want to be in Business. Very unprofessional. No Drivers. Will put you in hold then hang up. Person in the phone tells you they can't get a driver to you and you better make other arrangements. Do yourself a favor get a Uber or Lyft. Di say you haven't been warned read more

I took a Yellow Cab from the Tampa International Airport to Sun City Center and it cost me 125 plus tip. I asked before I got into the cab, knowing that Lyft was charging 87 at that time of day. The driver said that whatever the meter said but approximately in the 90 range. When I got into the cab I realized there wasn't a visible meter and he charged another 5 for coming from the airport. And he wanted cash. Lesson learned, don't trust anyone. Be very wary and not like gullible me. Yes, I have had issues with Uber too. read more

My taxi never showed up for my 6am flight (4:45 pick up)! No one answered the phone lines and never got a text message like they said. They also told me I needed to be outside when the driver got there so I was standing up alone in the dark at 4:45am for at least 20 minutes before I could get another form of transport. Sitting on the plane now and the guy calls me and say oh just seeing it was for 4:45am. Never using this company again. read more

I wouldn't bother with this dinosaur of a company. Three times it's been over an hour and a half wait for a cab to show up. It's hard to understand how this company plans to stay in business when you can call an uber or lyft and they are there within ten minutes. Do yourself a favor so you will be on time to work, or wherever you need to go and don't call this joke of a company read more

On Valentine's Day 2/13/18 @approx 7:15pm my husband and I took this YELLOW CAB Grand Mini Van from Tampa International Airport to Enterprise Car Rental on Spruce Rd. The taxi attendant flagged the next car up which happened to be this van. We had two oversized bags, so this vehicle was perfect for our needs. The driver of foreign decent, was not engaging with us at all after loading bags in the back. We enter the vehicle, tell the driver where we are going, give him the address. He mumbles something and proceeds to drive off. At no time does he enter an address in a meter and or mobile device. This is our 1st time in Tampa and have no clue where we are going, so we enter the address in Waze to get a feel how of how far we are, It was only 2.3 miles away. A few minutes later, I asked the driver do you know where we are going? He rudely says "you gave me the address". I say okay, wasn't sure because there this no meter running. No reply from him. We arrive at Enterprise. He unloads our 2 bags and I ask him what do we owe you, he says $20. I said WHAT? for 2 miles? He got irate and said "that's the price, doesn't matter how far you go". I ask him if that's a flat rate, he says "yes, I wait a long time in line to pick people up only to go short distances". I reply that's just wrong, $20 for a short ride. He gets irate again and says "if you don't like it, I'll take you back to the airport". I say no, it's fine-give him the $20(no tip)due to his bad attitude. In my opinion, this guy should find a new job. His English isn't very good, horrible to zero communication skills and apparently doesn't like his job. From now on, TAKE AN UBER OR LYFT from the Tampa Airport. read more

Yellow Cab - The minivan that took us from Tampa International to Enterprise on Spruce. - Airport Shuttles Near Me

The service was terrible. We ordered 2 cabs for the airport and only got one. The customer service was completely rude. do NOT recommend.

If it was possible to give less than 1 star, I would. Literally the worst service I've ever had. 2/3 times they just never showed up. Even after confirming all three times. The one time we did catch a ride, the driver was pulled over by a cop, got lost despite having GPS, and almost hit a tree. No joke. How is this company in business? We switched to uber and the driver was there in 3 minutes with no issues. read more

Waiting for 20 mins, app kept saying 19 mins. They came and left, according to them. DO NOT USE THEM

I called for a taxi the day before my flight. I needed a taxi to pick my husband and I up and take us to the airport. I requested the taxi at 5:00 a.m. The taxi had been reserved. Today the taxi did not arrive on time, so my husband called again. Yellow cab staff stated that our taxi had never been reserved. We were told that we would have another taxi in about 10 to 15 minutes. It again, never happened. We literally just got a call from a taxi driver who is on his way to our home to pick us up at 5:41 a.m. We decided to take an Uber who arrived in 7 minutes. The Tampa airport should seriously consider removing Yellow cab from their website because when people request a taxi at a specific time it is for a reason, especially when you have a flight to catch at a busy airport. No wonder Uber is killing the other taxi companies. read more

We survived. That's the best I can say about it. The vehicle had every maintenance warning light on, seats were shot, and ac was out giving us blasting wind from the rolled down windows. Driver had no idea where the hotel was, couldn't understand the address, had no gps. He was also drunk and weaving lanes. This from airport pickup, so dispatcher there had to know the bad shape of both car and driver, not just random bad luck with a single car and driver. read more

Worst experience ever! Don't take from airport, get an Uber instead. Rudest driver, wouldn't take credit card. Told him he should've told us when we got in. Then he said fine, I'll take your bags out when we get there, you can pay me or not. I tried to give him the only cash I had on me when we got out and he started making a scene "do you know where you are? Do you know what country this is? When you get a service you pay for it" was threatening that we wefe committing a crime, scared my older mom. Generally just an A-hole. Won't be taking yellow cab in Tampa ever again!! read more
