Barely hybrid. Paid a mint. Second time (yes, I gave it a second chance thinking she learnt from the first time what I wanted), I went on vacation and they *didn't last a week!!!* I also have to add that the lash technician is terrible with communicating. She was not telling me what she was doing next. Lying down with your eyes practically taped shit can be a tad anxiety provoking. She was spritzing stuff on my face afterwards, without warning. Second time she got something that felt like alcohol in one of my eyes. Never NEVER again.

Children are not recommended to come so it is very quiet and peaceful (and don't get me wrong, I like kids but as a mom it's nice to have some self care time). The ladies who have done my brows are excellent and usually I don't nave a reaction to the wax. If you'd like your brows dyed they have many colours and shades and use great quality products on you. You can also purchase the brow gel and powders/pencils etc they use. My rating is because of the price. $45 for a regular shaping and $60 for a shaping and dye. There is no option for a regular up keep. My eyebrows are naturally shaped and are extremely easy to tweeze and keep up with at home. I like getting he wax because obviously it lasts longer. Last appointment the girl was lovely but spent about 10 minutes with me when the appointment is supposed to last 30. I am definitely not getting my money's worth. On their website there is a "man's brows" option for $25 that does basically everything a brow couture does but no drawing your brows in afterwards. Why can't I pick that option? As a woman I find that sexist and not fair! I have no been back to the salon for months. I really do miss it though as its a gorgeous space with very friendly staff.

I took the plunge and got eyelash extensions from Bizou today. I really had no idea what the…read moreprocess was, how long it would take, anything. But I went in with an open mind, hoping simply to get gorgeous lashes by the end of it. The studio is really nice and clean, with fancy mirrors everywhere and a pretty table where you sit down with your lash stylist. Although I never actually learned her name, my girl was nice, and went through all of the information with me before heading over to the bed. That sounds really odd, but you lie down on a bed-type-sofa for the extensions. Ladies, if you wear contact lenses like me, don't wear them to the appointment. The process starts with the stylist taping your eyes nearly shut, and holy heck, were mine ever watering. I was really glad I decided to wear my glasses today. The first ten minutes or so are uncomfortable. Not painful, but very uncomfortable. I pushed through it, and eventually it was totally fine. I barely even noticed the tape after a while. The rest of the hour went by pretty quickly, all things considered. You can't see anything, you can just feel the stylist gently attaching the lashes on top of your own. I really had no idea what time it was or how close we were to being done, but it was over before I expected. The music helped the time go by quickly, although they really need to update their tunes. (Dido and Whitney Houston? I'll take Katy Perry and Britney Spears, please.) Overall, the experience was a little weird, but it didn't hurt a bit, which was my one biggest fear. And, I now have gorgeous, dark, long curly lashes that I'm simply in love with! A full set will run you close to $100 (cash only), and you're expected to get fillers three weeks later for another $60. While I'm happy with my first experience, I can't say yet with certainty that it will be worth it to go back and spend so much more. I suppose only three weeks time will tell!
