I went for a first-time visit with Dr. Rickerby because of his high reviews online, but had a mixed…read moreexperience. I'll sum it up in 5 things that stood out the most: 1. The office is very clean and large. The reception was prompt and there was no long wait. 2. The receptionists upsold me a cancer screening and fluoride as a "bundle for first-time visitors" with the option to pay upfront. This was before I was even examined by the Dentist to determine if I needed either. I suspect that they may be incentivized to do this. 3. Most of my appointment was spent with the hygienist, who was very thorough with cleaning and X-rays. They wanted to take a ton of photos of my face, which I had to decline - most were unnecessary if the dentist was going to check anyway. 4. Of the hour I spent there Dr. Rickerby only saw me for about 5 minutes. He immediately offered Invisalign and a few other services that weren't covered by my insurance. 5. Dr. Rickerby focused more on steps to straighten my teeth than their condition. I originally wanted to know if I had cavities and ended up leaving without an answer. Overall, the cleaning was great, but I feel this office is more concerned about upselling additional cosmetic options than about covering the urgent necessities for dental health. I also believe a dentist should explain what needs to be done to alleviate the issues the patient cares about the most - they didn't. Any optional recommendations should have been secondary to that I've never been to a dental office that went straight for sales pitches and upselling on services that aren't covered by insurance once I walked into the door. Because of this, I am not confident that Rickerby is a dentist I can trust. So, I'll be looking elsewhere to hopefully a place that is more concerned about my health first.

I was not happy with that dentist and searched for an alternative and took a chance on Dr. Joshi because he accepted my insurance. However he is exactly the type of dentist that you would want to go to. Key positives about his attitude and demeanor: great bedside manner, fantastic with kids, personable, comes across as sincere and honest. However professionally he is a standout. The quality of his work is terrific and he errs on the side of doing less versus trying to convince you to get too much work done. He works in a small office in Madison NJ and it is fine, but not fancy. If you are looking for a great dentist in the area, make sure to give him a try!

He is conservative and doesn't do expensive unnecessary treatments and try to up-sell like so many dentists these days. He (and his lovely hygienist and dental assistant) puts you at right at ease with his calming manner and is a very good and thorough dentist. He did an implant crown for me recently, and I was so anxious about the ordeal, since he was fixing another dentist's mistake. It looks beautiful and I am very happy with the whole process and outcome. If you are looking for a small town dentist feel, then this office is for you. I highly recommend Dr. Joshi. :).

Dr Castano , took x rays & used the scan machine to see how & what would be the best care for me . It turned out I had good bone . I had a choice either dentures or implants. I allowed him to do two implants on me which ended up failing and he told me he would refund me and never did. One "failed" and one was placed incorrectly! He owes me over $11,000. Mind you he owes me that much but put me into collections during covid over a $200 invoice Dr. Jacobson is extremely untrustworthy. He will act like a friend but he's not. He just wants to charge you and your insurance as much as possible and provide subpar dentistry. The only thing keeping that place afloat is the wonderful dental hygenist and the receptionist. STAY AWAY IF YOU VALUE YOUR TEETH AND MONEY.
