Took 1 hr. to get "free consultation", I was selected in a "drawing" (what a joke). I went in…read morebecause my neck hurt so bad I could hardly hold it up. I was then told after the "exam" (indoctrination) that I would have to schedule my second visit to get the results of the "exam". I said "well I hope the 2nd visit is soon because my neck hurts". He said you can come back in 2 hrs. So (big mistake) I did. At which time I watched a 5 minute video and then he spent, literally less than 5 minutes on my neck with no relief at all. He then went on to tell me I would need to come in 3 times a week for 10 weeks at $38 per visit and then I would qualify for the "wellness B plan" which was $90 a month for unlimited visits. Wow so if i come up with$1240 I can then pay him $90 per month. Long story longer,- don't waist your time for a "free" visit. Still cost me 2 hrs of my life and $38.00 and my neck still is the same if not worse!!

For any minor medical issues that arise when you're in the Manistee area, the West Shore Walk-In…read moreclinic is a really convenient resource. Located next to the West Shore Hospital Emergency Room (where you should head for more serious ailments), the Walk-In is spacious, clean, and efficient. I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes between the time of arrival and being seen by a doctor. Even if they are out of network for your health insurance, the cost for services is relatively reasonable. I tend to be skittish about the seeing the doctor, but the environment here is straightforward and calm. Although I've only visited for acute issues, I think that you can also schedule pre-arranged appointments for more routine procedures like physicals and immunizations.

She recently helped with some acute lower back pain. I walked into her office, hurting with every step, and left with far less pain. She offers a spectrum of different kinds of therapeutic styles--deep tissue, myofacial release, hot stones--tailored to whatever ailment you have. Massage can sometimes be a very vulnerable experience, especially if you're hurting, but she is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and reassuring. Her practice is located within the historic Briny Building in downtown Manistee. There is a dedicated parking lot with wheelchair accessibility. The massage room itself has high ceilings and is exceeding clean and inviting. Julia is such a valuable asset to the Manistee community. Thank you for helping me!

My sister bought me a massage (to help me heal mentally and emotionally from a recent trauma) here after her and her husband got a couples massage. I wouldn't change anything. My sister warned her in advance I liked a medium to firm massage and Julia did just that - perfect pressure.... PLUS hot stones. I had never had a hot stone full body massage before and it was absolutely delightful. Complete relaxation. The office is in a big office building, but the massage room is in a room with tall ceilings, exposed brick, chairs, candles, music, and aromatherapy heaven. I immediately felt at ease in that room. Today I received a hand written Thank You post card from Julia. What a wonderful gesture. I absolutely love the small town friendliness of the Manistee community. I will return and you should go if you ever find yourself in Manistee. :-)
