Said they needed to call 811 and have them mark for areas they needed to stay away from, so grinding took another few days. No problem at all and Melissa in their office was extremely responsive and communicated this all to me. The reason for me not giving them 5 stars was because when the guy came to grind the stumps, he was only able to do 1 out of the 3 trees that were cut. One was because the machine wouldn't fit through our fence and the other because he wasn't sure if he would hit a water line. Not a huge deal because we were going back and forth about getting them ground anyway. Just something to keep in mind when hiring them. Melissa was able to decrease the quoted price because of this, so that was nice. I'd use them again, but keep in mind that they may not be able to get into tight spaces and if you don't know where your water lines run underground, you'd be taking a risk.

The cost of the service is associated with the time of the job. Spraying is easy, deep root treatment is hard and takes longer. The tech was at my house for less than 20 minutes. That's not the job I ordered, was quoted or paid for. The sales person that came out should have set proper expectations on them being able to treat the trees as he said "with a deep root treatment" vs a spray treatment. I already have a sprayer and the fertilizer is $50. There is no way I would have paid for this as it's a rip off. When I confronted the company they admitted he wasn't there that long and gave me a discount. If at any point there was a change in what the tech wanted to do he should have knocked on my door. We were both home and my wife even offered the tech water. Just not the right way to treat customers. My guess is the tech was so busy he didn't have time to do a proper treatment that I paid for and cut a corner. The company should have made it right and even though given several opportunities decided not to. There are a lot of tree services in town and I would recommend rouses. They are trustworthy, have great customer service, and are honest.
