The entire process from the day we requested the estimate until project completion went smoothly. Lead Arborist Jessie Mudge came to our home and provided a verbal estimate on the spot, followed up by the formal written detailed estimate and insurance certificate. Melissa was excellent at making sure there was good communication as to project start date since South Louisiana climate and weather can make scheduling a bit tricky in this line of work. We also had them complete a couple of other smaller tree pruning jobs on our property because we were very satisfied with the professionalism, communication, and fair pricing they offered. They were very courteous in terms of making sure trucks were not obstructing the road in our neighborhood, and they left our property clean and tidy at the end of each workday during our 2-day project. Good tree specialists who communicate well and charge a fair price are extremely hard to come by in South Louisiana. We have had bad luck with shady tree removal companies in the past that left behind messes and damaged our neighbor's property, and we have had outrageous estimates provided by well-known companies in the area that were literally 5x higher than what NOLA Tree Solutions quoted us. We will definitely be using NOLA Tree Solutions for all of our future tree care needs. Another tree removal company we received a quote from even told us, "[t]hey are a respectable company"---which says a lot coming from a direct competitor.

Said they needed to call 811 and have them mark for areas they needed to stay away from, so grinding took another few days. No problem at all and Melissa in their office was extremely responsive and communicated this all to me. The reason for me not giving them 5 stars was because when the guy came to grind the stumps, he was only able to do 1 out of the 3 trees that were cut. One was because the machine wouldn't fit through our fence and the other because he wasn't sure if he would hit a water line. Not a huge deal because we were going back and forth about getting them ground anyway. Just something to keep in mind when hiring them. Melissa was able to decrease the quoted price because of this, so that was nice. I'd use them again, but keep in mind that they may not be able to get into tight spaces and if you don't know where your water lines run underground, you'd be taking a risk.

VERY small. He had always charged $75 for each visit. First of all- he said he'd come Friday. Never shows up. Then I get a call early Saturday saying he came back for maintenance and it was now $150. When I asked why the price went up he said it was because he removed the wood from the backyard. I had ZERO wood in the back yard and was immediately concerned. His response "pick up your phone next time." Are you serious?? He was a whole day late so I, obviously was not expecting him on this Saturday morning!!!! I called my tenant and she said she had seen someone in the neighbor's yard. So I messaged him asking why on earth they would be in the neighbors yard taking wood from their collapsed shed. He denied it multiple times saying that I sounded crazy and asking why he would do that. I DONT KNOW DUDE, you tell me???????!!! He became irate and started to repeatedly call and message me, demanding $100. I told him I would pay him $75 because I never agreed to any wood removal nor did I even HAVE any wood. Also, why is he making a decision to remove wood from my property when I did not ask him to? I made the mistake of picking up the phone at first and he responded with "you know, we try to help people and this is what we get..." ‍ ‍‍‍ Completely floored by this comment, I ask him, this is what you think helping people is? I inherited my large water oak when I bought my home, and little did I know that I inherited all its problems as well. In 2021, after Hurricane Ida, another company told me my tree was dying, but rather than explain what that meant, they gladly trimmed a few branches at the cost of an arm and a leg. 2 years later, while sitting in my backyard, a huge branch snapped and remained dangling above my neighbor's yard. I called Robert from Louisiana Tree Company, and he was at my house within 15 minutes on a Saturday. He diagnosed the problem - the tree was rotting and had lived to the end of its lifespan. By the end of the same day, he sent a quote and even offered to cut the dangling branch down the next day. He also offered to get all the branches off before hurricane season and take the trunk down after hurricane season, to ensure the branches didn't snap off during a storm and gave the option to make two separate (very reasonable) payments. Once I agreed, Louisiana Tree Company was out at my house at the time they said they would be and got the job done safely and perfectly in 5 hours. I have called many tree companies over the past 3 years, and most of them are flaky, give a quote, and never call back. This company is a cut above the rest!!

Especially a tree that no one wanted to touch because it is between a power line, a swimming pool, a fence and a shed. Everyone backed away or over quoted us. Not Robert. He has a can - do super hero attitude. He has the confidence and experience to back it up. His quote was reasonable and he stayed in touch with us throughout the challenging process. First entergy had to come out to assess, that took about a week to get scheduled, then a first ever June hurricane decided to hit and pushed some jobs back, but Robert stayed on top of things and stayed in touch. He also emailed us his insurance info and certification. He is an arborist and licensed and he has no problem explaining everything. It took about 1.5 weeks for everything to be completed with all the crazy curve balls. His expert problem solving skills and dealing with such a dangerously located tree such as ours while keeping his sense of humor, remaining cool and professional throughout it all. His crew were equally brilliant and I am glad they weren't easily scared off to take on such a monster project. I couldn't have asked for better service.
