Ybor City was suggested by many people as a place to check out while in Tampa. We hopped on the trolley and got off at their stop which makes it easily accessible from downtown. This area is known for its Latin roots, and reminds me of New Orleans. Plenty of tattoo shops, cigar shops, drinking establishments and clubs. Not a lot open at the time but still fun to wander around. If you're lucky, you just might spot a chicken or 2!

Ybor city reminds me Bourbon street in New Orleans! Same vibe!!!! Same happy faces! Beautiful and old buildings! Unique buildings...Interesting and fun people everywhere! Good restaurants and everything in this place has story....It is crowded and you can feel young energies that this old city has for you...Parking will be lil bit challenging but some restaurants have their own parking lot!

Oh gosh do I have memories here. Up until 2018 my friends and Miami and I would drive here for the weekend, hit up some spots like hogans and then bar hopping at ybor. Great times always

My first time in Tampa and Ybor City! What an AMAZING place filled with history! The birthplace of the cigar in America and funny enough JC Newman ... the last cigar company in America. Take the tour and learn to roll your own cigars. Eat at Due Amici for the best pizza, Italian food and cheesecake on the planet!

Ybor City is a neighborhood known for its entertainment options, as well as its history. Ybor City has a history that goes back to the 1880's and was established by Vicente Martinez-Ybor and other cigar manufacturers. Cigars are still a big part of Ybor City. Ybor City is still a very cool place to spend some time. I would definitely recommend you spend some time here.

Ybor City is a unique community rich with history and a variety of sights and sounds. As others have mentioned, coming here at night is a very different experience, and I felt safer in the daytime and in a larger group. Visiting the Saturday Farmers' Market was a lot of fun. Vendor prices seemed high to me for some average to low quality merch, but I imagine vendors vary depending on the time of year. The salsa music mixed in the air with roosters vocalizing makes for a memorable experience. It almost felt like we stepped onto a period piece movie set. We took time to visit the museum near Centennial Park, and it's small but worthwhile to get a full appreciation for the diverse culture of Ybor City. And a quick tip: Use the museum bathrooms or go to a local restaurant or bar. The bathroom at Centennial Park is so disgusting, and sadly, it looks like people are sleeping in the stalls at night. As a visitor from Chicago, the chickens roaming were a hoot to see! As soon as we entered the parking lot, a couple of the wild, protected fowl ran past us, and you could hear constant crowing near the park. Columbia restaurant was clearly a popular spot. The food, decor and little gift shop were pricey but worth the visit. For me, Ybor City is a "been there; done that" kind of experience. I am not sure I would return, except to dine at Columbia again.

Well...it's not what I expected. I was expecting something more cultural but this turned out to be more similar to Bourbon Street in New Orleans. A lot of bars, restaurants, and cigar stores (that part was cool). Nothing wrong with that but just different from what I had expected. You do see some signs that have information on the history which was interesting.

This is a sweet spot to party. So many restaurants and bars down the strip that you can go in and check out. They have parking lots so it's to leave on the lot and just walk around. It's pretty active during the night. The restaurants turn into bar scenes and bump up the music.

Ybor city is a really cool place to hang out. Obviously the cigars are great but the food and scene are as well.

I assumed I would have the choice of several different options, but it turned out that CoWorkTampa was really the only spot - and it ended up being great! I was looking for a place where I'd have a decent amount of space, first of all. I didn't need completely privacy, but just wanted to make sure we weren't elbow-to-elbow with other fellow co-workers, which is what would have happened if we opted to go to a coffee shop. CoWorkTampa has an ample amount of space, which almost made us feel like we had an entire area to ourselves. There were other folks around, but the space really lent itself to the semi-private setting I was seeking. The cost was $20 a day, per person, which gave us the space we needed, wifi, coffee and access to store anything in the kitchen. We were also offered to join in on a member lunch when they had a surplus of food one day. Also, something we utilized multiple times were the private booths for phone/video calls that only have enough room for one person and your laptop. Those were very clutch for the calls we needed to take. I'd return to CoWorkTampa in a heartbeat next time I need space. And I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for become a member!

What I found hunting for a Cowork space was the prices most locations want are simply outrageous. Coworking is suppose to be for small business and young startups, yet they want to charge a fortune for membership, and then, on top of that parking is pay at many places. Coworktampa has FREE parking! It is really a nice mix of business and entrepreneurs too. I have met a lot of great people. Few months back they installed a new community manager and he has been incredible too. Check it out before you pay confiscatory rates at some other location.
