Don't believe all of the 5 stars! They say they know all the admissions directors at the top…read moreschools and will recommend your child...but if you write a negative review your child will be blacklisted. Another person just wrote me privately to say: "I saw your review for TutorMeLA. I pretty much had the same exact experience, and I was wondering what happened after you had posted your review? Did they reach out again, did they threaten you? I was just wondering if there is any way that we can take this complaint to another place because it's truly not right what these guys are doing. The threats are scary and I honestly believe they should be stopped."

Finding a tutor in Los Angeles was much more complicated than I expected. As someone who values…read moreeducation I did not want to hit a tutor for someone in my family without doing my best to ensure they were the perfect tutor for the job. I searched high and low (including online tutoring sites that let you choose your tutor) the outcome was fruitless.  Tutors who swore to have years of experience either were not as familiar with the material as they claimed or could not eloquently TEACH it. Also, the companies that charged ridiculous amounts like $150/hr did not show much for it. I know this because when trying Tutor Me LA, I also hired another tutor from a high-end tutoring company and Tutor Me LA's tutor was not only cheaper but MUCH MORE proficient.  We needed a few tutors - A gmat tutor, LSAT tutor, and a Math tutor. EVERY SINGLE tutor Tutor Me LA sent over was great. Their Guarantee took any hesitancy we had about scheduling a session and now I see why. This place offers outstanding service and their tutors are just fantastic.  Do your research. Make sure you find a tutor that can commit. Call this place first :)

He is extremely helpful and provides a schedule that tailor your needs. It is an on-demand per hour system that way you don't feel pressured or rushed in making appointments with him. When I found Jesse I was feeling lost in my studying method, and he was the perfect help to get me back on track and fuel my motivation. Book a call with him! You won't regret!

I decided to reach out to Jesse because after going to LSAT prep classes and studying alone, my…read morescore was not going up. At all. I was honestly almost too embarrassed to tell him what my score was when I first started, but Jesse had a game plan and knew exactly how to help me. Something that really makes Jesse stand out is that he knows exactly how to explain the questions and answers to the way that you'll understand. He'll also try out different methods with you to see what will help you achieve your goal. In just a few weeks, because of Jesse, my score improved 10+ points. For someone who did not even DARE to dream of getting that kind of improvement, I was ecstatic. I don't think I would ever get the score that I did without Jesse's help. I would definitely recommend Jesse to anyone who is looking to improve their score. Trust me. Coming from someone who tried everything before reaching out for a private tutor... Jesse is worth every single penny but you definitely have to put in the work.

Had a fabulous experience with MCAT test prep. HORRIBLE experience with med school application…read moreadvising. Have had several emails go ignored until I feel like I'm being obnoxious, but I cannot even get my initial call scheduled because my advisor's assistant just disappears into thin air all the time. After my payment it took almost two months to even get anything back from the company regarding how to begin. Overall this second experience makes me think this company is way too big and we're just dollar signs to them. I'm really upset I even wasted money on this and I'm going to be looking for a refund so that I can seek advising elsewhere.

Very unimpressed, to say the least…read more The teachers are awful, low-quality and unprofessional. The staff are not much better... I was in a classroom-style course which I wasn't getting much out of so I re-enrolled in an online class. The very first online class that I took showed the wrong time on the student tools page. So I missed the first class tonight. The company hours are supposed to be until 10pm. I called tonight at 9:30pm after I couldn't access my course, but couldn't reach anyone. I sent my teacher an e-mail asking why I couldn't access the course but her response was to simply call technical support because she doesn't know anything about computers. This company cares more about quantity than quality - money instead of people. The Princeton Review just tries to scare everyone into thinking that they will not do as well on the GRE if they don't have some coaching. Well, even with the coaching - which is just a bunch of not-so-creative acronyms and a review of basic English and math, I highly discourage anyone from taking this course and instead recommend that you just get a book and study on your own. You'll probably get a lot more out of persistent and focused self-study rather than wasting your money on this ridiculous company. There are so many free resources out there and there are ways to do well on the GRE without spending $1k. Personally, I'm preparing for the GRE by taking a math class for review at my local community college (where there's free tutoring), reading up on GRE strategies and also learning as many new GRE words as I can before the exam. I plan to ask for a full refund tomorrow and just study for the test on my own. Either that, or take the MAT, which the college I hope to get into accepts as an alternative test.

I just started celebrating because I got the score I needed for graduate school while writing this…read morereview...already intoxicated but will try to make it readable... Absolutely AMAZING! I have spent so much money on GRE prep services (thousands) but this is by far the best thing that actually made a HUGE impact on my GRE score overall. I cannot say enough about Charles and his ability to teach the material. He is both passionate and constantly full of energy... that's probably an understatement. Although he sometimes goes quickly through the material, he will ALWAYS stop if you have questions on how to go about answering the questions. In addition, he is always adamant about getting the students to text him, calling, emailing, carrier pigeon-ing, with questions that pertain to the material if you are having trouble. The tricks and strategy on ways he taught me on how to approach each question on the GRE test allowed me to answer most of the questions that I struggled with. He is one of the greatest factors that allowed me to put this burden that has plagued my progression in life down like a dirty dog... so dirty... In addition, the online modules that accompany the Princeton Review is exceptional! Not only are both the presenters attractive (not bisexual) but they go over in detail on how to approach each question step-by-step which allowed me to answer most of the questions that came up on the GRE. I can't speak for those who had bad experience from the MCAT or any other test but, regarding the GRE, Princeton Review is what allowed me to get through this test (with the addition of memorizing an a@@ load of flashcards) and able to finally apply to the graduate schools that will allow me to finally be able to call myself doctor!!!
