Yates's is a decent place to go for either a full night out in Tamworth, or pre-clubbing drinks. An American chain that has expanded to Britain with 65 locations nationwide, Yates's is nothing special, but at least they serve up the same exact thing every time.
The crowd is youngish, and tends to be the, er...posher bit of Tamworth youfs, unlike Trinity shudder, so it's a nicer place to spend the night if you don't want fighting and incredibly sticky floors.
The venue is smallish, so it does get slammed, and you'll queue for drinks for quite a long time on the weekends. But the bartenders are friendly, and try to serve as quickly as possible.
The music/DJs are typical club/R &B "classics" with a bit of dub and house mixed in - nothing to write home about, but nothing upsetting either.
Very, VERY unfortunately, there's a stripper's pole on the dance floor, and of course, every girl with bright orange skin, tight tight trousers (you are NOT a size 10, love) and big backcombed hair has to climb onto it, pretending it's a joke, but really thinking she looks great.
