She used a "soft design" approach that allowed us to fine tune as we went through initial design through plant selection (she takes you with her to the nursery to make sure you are part of the process) to plant placement in our yard to make sure the final product was exactly what we wanted and more. We now have neighbors from our entire subdivision knock on our door to tell us how much they enjoy walking past our home and enjoying our yard. And, with all of this, we are saving on our water bill! Maria takes the time to get to know her clients and works with you. She is honest, reliable and keeps coming back until the project meets not just your expectations but her high standards as well. We had a small problem with one section of the re-worked yard. Maria replaced the plants twice and brought her crew back to figure out what was wrong and make sure everything was as she promised it would be. That, as much as the original work she did, sold us on her and her professionalism. We will be using her again when we tackle our backyard.

I was incredibly impressed by how talented, thoughtful, and communicative she was throughout the entire process. We really hit it off during our Zoom meeting, and she followed up on every email quickly with great insights and thoughtful questions. While I ultimately went with another designer due to a unique project request, choosing between them was an incredibly difficult decision. If you're in the beginning phase of starting your research to find the perfect landscape designer, you absolutely must include Julie in your search. You will not be disappointed!

Julie was fun to collaborate with, receptive to feedback, and she offered creative solutions as the design evolved over time. During the construction phase she visited multiple times to check that things were running smoothly. Selecting the plant material was also a lot of fun. Together we carefully curated a list of plants that not only met our low water desires, but also complimented the style of our home down to the color palette. Overall the entire project from start to finish took about ten months and were pleased with the final result as we wanted something relatively simple but updated, fresh, and modern. We are still getting compliments from neighbors as they pass by! We recommend Julie!

Our goal was to replace our side yard and fill in our backyard (a casualty of the drought some years ago). We are thrilled with both the beautiful design and the quality of the installation! Oleysa worked with us to understand what we wanted, created an initial plan, and modified it to suit our preferences. Her design sense is very high - how she arranges plants including their colors, sizes, and layering, their water needs, etc. Oleysa is extremely detailed and just knows so much about landscaping, plants, and practical plant care. She suggested plants that thrive in our local area, are visually interesting, and met our other criteria (low water, low maintenance). Many people may not think about the installation quality, but even a great design needs to be implemented - that's where Omar and his team come in. Omar is the best installer that we've worked with over the years. The design was perfectly executed. In fact, Omar actually left my existing landscape even better then it was before by extending irrigation to some existing plants. Also, there was some leftover compost and he took the initiative to spread it over some existing plants. Omar is also current with the latest irrigation tech such as flow indicators. Besides creating great results, they are easy to work with (good communication, on-time, hardworking, and reasonably priced). We strongly recommend Zin+Ola.

I waited 6 months before posting this review so I could see how things settled and I'm still happy with how our front and backyard turned out. Susan Vogel, the company's rep and landscape designer in Northern California, is an experienced professional. She can out immediately for a consultation, listened to my requests, and provided a detailed estimate from 3 different contractors within the week. My husband loved that the estimate was in Excel so you could play with the values (if you don't want something you can remove a line item to get estimate to fit budget). Also, Susan Vogel did the design for FREE within the week. I had been working with a pricey designer who took months and thousands of dollars from me for a sub-par design that I suspected would cost me double their quote. I really appreciated Landscape Locators speed, timely ness and honesty. The amount I paid was the amount that they estimated. Well, it was a tad over, but it was my fault since I added to the design. Worth it though. The landscape contractor they matched me with - Brian Tran- was awesome. He had a trusted team and he was on site EVERY DAY. He didn't disappear and he worked right along with his team. He was pleasant and easy to work with. Plus, as a second generation landscape contractor he knew what he was doing. If you want to ask me questions or see my yard, contact Susan and she can put you in touch me me. I whole-heartedly recommend this company.

We wanted something beautiful but low maintenance, and Gun really took the time to understand what we were looking for. She had us complete a survey, met with us a few times, and put together a thoughtful design with visuals and a really cool rendering video that helped us picture the final space. What stood out most was how much expertise she brought to the process. She truly knows her plants and was great at explaining what would work best in different areas based on light, watering needs, and long-term maintenance. She also uses great technology and apps to help think through lighting, irrigation, and the overall design. Gun was onsite multiple times to walk through plant and tree options with us, and she also referred us to a great landscaper who helped bring the design to life. During the final walkthrough, she even brought over a few plants from her own garden, which was such a sweet and personal touch. We love her expertise, her attention to detail, and the special touches she brought to the project. We highly recommend Gun!

This is the only positive piece I can comment on. He did quick work; but not to the specifications we discussed. My impression is that he tries to squeeze in as many projects as he can into a week and cuts corners to complete work within his condensed timeframe. For example, the drain system was supposed to include a water backflow stop. I learned today after heavy rain that this was not installed. This is a big deal! The backflow caused my sump pump to cycle constantly. Which isn't great for the longevity of the system. I have experienced the same issue as other reviewers - Oscar ignores every call or text I send him. Towards the end of the project, he promised to return with my sump pump lid. He scheduled dates, then rescheduled, and eventually ignored me completely. Although I'm disappointed by the results of his work. I am most disappointed by the lack of integrity in his business practices. He wrote me off as a good paying customer, leaving me to feel like a fool for choosing him. I'm not surprised others have had a positive experience with him. As long as the project and timing are convenient, he will get it done. But the moral compass Oscar and Veronica operate under is questionable. This is the biggest mistake I've ever made with a contractor. I do not recommend Oscar or Veronica.
