I have to correct and change my original review due to the fact that the 15 Arborvitae trees they…read moreplanted only 5 took root, the other 10 just dried out and died after hundreds of dollars spent in watering and fertilizer. I always questioned why the left the plastic wrapping on the root ball but they assured me it would automatically disintegrate during watering. They came back, dug out all the dead ones and replaced them with another brand wIch got planted again with the plastic wrap around the root ball. They told me to wait six months to 12 months for positive results, but the same results ensued with the 10 new trees dying and now causing a fire liability. Why they did not remove the plastic from the root ball is beyond understanding but I am told that it is the reason why the trees died. After 12 months I contacted them again but they quit answering. Total expense was over $2000 DOWN the drain. I can vouch for their courtesy and politeness but I definitely DON'T RECOMMEND THE QUALITY OF THEIR TREES OR KNOWLEDGE. Original post. Very professional and polite. Delivered nice tall Arborvitaes from Vancouver,wa. to Bend,Oregon. The crew dug and planted the trees. We are very happy with purchase, we now have privacy in our yard. Thank you Luis and crew !

I've purchased from this nursery in the past and always found them pleasant. This Spring we bought…read morefour plants and paid an extra 250.00 ($$$$) to have them delivered and planted. Later that day they delivered six plants and installed all of them. They then accused us of "knowing we bought four but planting six" and said they were going to "come and remove them" if we didn't pay for them. Bottom line: they threatened to trespass on our property and remove two plants. Trespassing is illegal and threatening a customer is terrible. They made a mistake when they delivered more than what we purchased and rather than working with us they threatened us. Really? We paid for the extra two plants after realizing the error (that was completely theirs) but their conduct was unprofessional. I won't use this nursery again and I do not recommend them.

We visited Tsugawa's a couple years ago looking for bleeding hearts…read more They happened to have 3 or 4, we purchased 2 and to this day they grow big and beautiful every year. This last Friday we decided to go back to get two more bleeding hearts and two azaleas. Our issue is with the azaleas. The bigger azalea had the price tag. And I didn't realize that the smaller one didn't have one. The person that rang us up said they were in the same size pot, and scanned the one tag twice instead of going to check the price. We couldn't tell at the time, but after planting them today, you can clearly see by the pictures that one pot is definitely smaller. After talking about it, and remembering what plants we looked at that did have price tags, we think we were over charged by about $20.00. The price should have been either $16.99 or $19.99. We really love Tsugawa's plant quality, and will continue to buy our plants there. We just wanted to let folks know, make sure the plant you're going to buy has a price tag.

Very helpful staff this was willing to spend whatever time it took to select our fruit trees. Daiso may be the Dollar General of Japan, but that does not mean that their wares are of the same…read morequality. In fact, it might be closer to say that Daiso is what you get when an Ikea, and a high-quality Japanese budget retailer get together and make a baby. There may be a lot of fluff and effluvia here, but there are also a lot of useful, down-to-earth, inexpensive home goods here that put anything you can find in an American retailer, for a comparable price, to shame. It's nice to have a shop that sells useful, elegant, quality goods at reasonable prices, a niche in which the Japanese uniquely excel. First-time Daiso shoppers may experience a slight bit of culture shock at having to convert prices from yen to dollars, but once they're hooked on all the wonderful, useful and inexpensive goods for sale here, that unfamiliarity will be fleeting. In particular, categories such as organization, kitchenware, stationery and home goods are not only cheaper here, they are more durable, useful, clever, and long-lasting. I would take anything purchased at a Daiso over any Walmart product, hands-down, any day of the week. They are simply not comparable. If you are simply one of the few who are unlucky enough to find a defective product, oh no...you're out a buck fiddy. Try again with something else. The thing about Japan, and Japanese culture, is they are relentless in their pursuit of perfection, which also includes innovation at absurdly cheap prices. Daiso is a reflection of this, and anyone who has ever been to Japan (myself included, multiple times) can attest to this: it's in their very nature. Their "worst effort" is often on-par with some of our "best". So sit back, relax, and enjoy this very limited presentation of some of their more modest offerings. And when you are starting to become convinced of their superior way of thinking, manufacturing, organizing, and presentation...feel free to delve deeper, and enjoy what you find. When you do, I'll see you at Uwajimaya.
