Ah, so this is what they mean by party favours. It's not contraband after all, but rather, crepe…read morepaper. That explains the unpleasantness at my niece's birthday party - an honest mistake. What there is no mistaking, however, is that Canuck Amusements has a massive selection of party decorations. No matter the theme they've got you covered (Weddings, Anniversaries, Bachelorette parties, baby showers, etc.) Besides their huge assortment of party accessories they also offer customized trophies and engraving, balloons, darts and accessories, bingo supplies, costumes, toys and trinkets and more.

While I haven't frequented this store enough to give it a four as an overall party supply store,…read moreone of its staff members certainly earned it for the customer service I got here last week. I came in looking to rent a helium tank. All they had were the big tanks for $80/day. A big tank is totally not what I needed, way to big in fact. The guy helping me suggested one of the disposable helium tanks... but those are crap. The balloons last for like 2 hrs before they start floating down to the ground. 3 if you're lucky. Anyway, this is where the staff member launched into an explanation about what makes your balloons last a really long time. He took me over to their helium tank and proceeded to show me the extra latex coating they use to coat every balloon (which apparently helps the balloon stay afloat for like 3-5 days). I was thankful for the extra info, and for the fact that he didn't try and talk me into renting the tank anyway. He did apologize for not having what I needed and suggested maybe trying Praxair for my own tank if I were going to use it often. Anyway, customer service like that can be hard to find. You'll see me checking out Canuck again sometime for other party things!

What a dump. This place has clutter everywhere and crap piled on top of crap with no sense of…read moreorganization throughout the store. Isles are crammed with merchandise and there is not one isle that was neat and tidy. Stuff was literally everywhere, place was filthy with boxes on the floor and random items everywhere. I called ahead of time and asked about a specific item and I was enthusiastically assured that they definitely had it and to come in, albeit it was 20 min out of my way I bit the bullet and went. Big mistake. They did not have what I wanted and then I inquired about some ballon bouquet pricing and they were out of several colours, I was pushed to buy bags of 12 for 4 colours that I wanted so I needed to buy 48 balloons for 16 balloons that I really only needed. And then it was like another $2 to fill each balloon with helium! TF KINDA GONG SHOW YOU RUNNING THERE?! If you do the math that's $32 just for helium and I would be in the hook for purchasing 4 bags of their balloons for $3-4 per bag! Ridiculous! Over $50 for 16 plain latex balloons in 4 basic colours?! Party city doesn't even charge that and they are considered pricey. The fellow who "helped" me gave off a used car salesman vibe and kept trying to sell me other balloons that didn't fit the colour scheme and I repeatedly told him that I already had the decor done and needed to fill up some space with ballon bouquets. He was nice enough but felt that he was more interested in selling me something I didn't want. I didn't like the vibe and felt like I was lied to to get me into the store and tried to push a sale on me. I wasn't having it and drove out another 10 min to Party City In crowfoot and they were amazing and much cheaper than these guys. My advice? just go to party city and if you are desperate go to this knock off version and take ur chances.

Party town? Should be called Chaos town. I had to purchase some wrapping paper and thought I would…read morego in here since they had a sign of "store closing and 50% off everything". When entering the store it was chaotic. Items on the floor, items in the aisles and just really dirty/messy. Since I was in a rush, I wanted to make sure to shop quick. I found some wrapping paper and proceeded to the cashier to pay. The cashier wasn't friendly. He just looked at me and advised me that since I was spending under $10 that the items were full price. The 50% off is only for people spending $10 or more. Seems very miss leading since they have a huge sign in front of the store stating closing and everything 50% off. I wasn't looking to argue and stated, this was all I needed and that was fine since the store was closing anyway and if me paying full price supports them, that's ok. He just sneered at me and wrung me in. I won't be returning and good thing this store is closing because it is very over priced especially being next door to Dollorama.
