The spread also includes serve yourself alcohol, coffee machine, soda fountain. Entry fee varies. We got in free with Chase Reserve CC Priority Pass. I'll skip Comfort and HSBC next time and head straight to Primeclass Lounge downstairs.

As we have priority pass membership our lounge visits are free but usually the lounge costs at least $25. They have pretty good wifi and a good spread of food which includes a soup of the day, different sandwiches, fruits and drinks of all kind. I have been to many different lounges in different airports around the world but this one is starting to show its age. The furniture is getting old and the sofas are really uncomfortable plus they don't have enough charging outlets. So at some point the management of the lounge will have to update everything. The good part is that the Ataturk airport has lots of different options so if you don't feel satisfied with this one you can try other lounges which are within the same area of the terminal.

I stopped by the desk, gave them my flight information and they had someone show me to a nice private shower cabin that had a nice robe, toiletries and slippers. The cabin was a good size and the cleanliness was impeccable. I took my time, had a refreshing shower and got dressed to face the day...after a long trans-Atlantic flight. A great benefit of the lounge.

First time was for a quick 30 mins during a layover from SFO to CDG. Second was a long overnight layover on the way back. It was pretty busy our first visit. Tho it was around lunchtime. I'm sure a lot of flights had layovers around that time. The lounge is huge. Plenty of tables, chairs. etc. I wanted some greens so grabbed some salad for a quick bite. We had some water. I had a pour of bubbles. I could only find one restroom which I found odd for a lounge of this size. There was always a wait. Second time was a night time layover. There were not a lot of people here. Basically all but the salad and dessert stations were closed. I did find a beverage cart, so I was able to pour myself some bubbly until they took that away. I think around 1am-ish? Maybe 1:30am. The germany world cup game was on, so luckily they had a spot with TVs. In the morning, it got pretty busy before we left around 6am. Since we were here for the morning rush, I was able to sample some eggs. Idk if they serve meat here, but everything I ran across was meat free. Some additional notes. They have self serve lockers here. So you can store your carry ons if you want to go explore the airport. There is plenty of seating, but not plenty of seating with outlets. Upon my arrival, I saw 2 staff members chatting at the front desk. I waited until they finished, hoping they would notice me as nobody was there but me. I waited a while. Eventually one of them left. The other lady was acting as I was not there. I waited until she notices me, but somehow she did not see me. So I just presented my tickets and a Pass. She only said: "It doesn't work here". I asked her to check the system. She replied again: "It doesn't work here. It's paid". The whole time she didn't make an eye contact even once and did not check the system for my pass entrance, her response was pretty rude. I called Priority Pass after arrival to US to confirm I had the right information about the lounge. I had correct information, complaint filed. Such a disappointing experience.

Allen all this relaxed atmosphere, comfy chairs, food/drink and small bus service to the plane makes the nominal fee worth it. Especially for long layovers.

There also two parallel lines that do the same thing, except one line might have one agent, while the others may have 2 or 3. We started at the first and realized there's just one woman working it. We moved to the next one when we saw that the other one was moving faster due to having multiple workers. At the actual gate, there's another security person checking your boarding card and passport to enter the enclosed area. Several entitled people decided they didn't need to wait and pushed to enter from the side, causing a scene. At boarding time, you have to show your passport and boarding card again. It's safe, but it's a lot of checks. Allow enough time.

Somewhere. Probably hiding behind a guy chain-smoking under a No Smoking sign. Yes, this airport smells like a tavern. Staff range from visibly annoyed to outright hostile, as if your very presence personally offended them. Honestly, I think the ticketing agents made a blood pact to make sure no one leaves here with their sanity intact. Are you hungry? Hope you brought a second mortgage. You can treat yourself to a sad sandwich that tastes like betrayal and costs more than your flight.
