It must have been my fourth occasion this time round and we had the whole place booked for a celebration. It was my parents golden wedding anniversary. The place holds thirty, which was a really nice number for us to organise a party for. When I say we, I mean my sister. She dealt with Brocka one on one. And Anne was brilliant to deal with, she had everything planned perfect. We had a wonderful set menu, which was seasonal of course. I had the goats cheese starter and the seabass with hollandaise for a main. Both were wonderful. Special mention to the wonderful hollandaise, which Anne made herself only two hours previous. I finished with the strawberries and meringue, which was also excellent. Their house wines were also spot on. Anne reassured us they would be perfect for our meal, while being good value. And she was right. They also accommodated us bringing our own bubbly for before dinner drinks AND our own homemade anniversary cakes which they served up for us with the coffee and tea. The staff were brilliant, everything worked like clockwork but not too regimented either. While we were served promptly, it was still very relaxed. And they dealt with the kids table like real professionals. The kids got their food first (great idea) and they even cajoled the four young ones to stay put on a few occasions too.
