returning satisfied customer. Team works hard to get the job done and the client happy. I made changes to the scope of work and they quickly adapted. Showed up on time and were professional and courteous. Went above and beyond expectations. Will use again. read more

Beware this company is interested in one thing only, get done as fast as possible, no regard for customers property. They killed my fruit tree by cutting the bark off the bottom of the trunk of the tree, run their mower into garden and lawn edging. Beware!! read more

i regret not reading reviews on this company before hiring them. We were referred to them from the well company we used and we had the same experience with them that so many others have had. my husband wasted a half day of work as they did not show up or call to say they would be late, I wasted a half day of work experiencing the same thing again, no call to say they would not be showing up. Work was performed while we were not home. My husband ran the system and it was causing the well to short cycle which can cause the motor to burn up. I called to tell them it was not working properly after I had already paid them and was told someone would be out the next day, which is when they never showed. I texted the owner, Charlie, as I was told it would be several weeks before somebody can get to us. I was very upset that I had paid for the work, and the system is not working. He came out and when we received the invoice I was charged the rate for 2 employees $155/hr, and another trip charge $45. I inquired and was told the owners rate is higher but was never told if he came I would be paying double. I should not have been charged another trip charge due to them not checking their work. I was told they did check their work, but there is no way they did or they would have seen that it was short cycling. Highly disappointed, with the lack of communication, unreliability and extremely expensive services. read more

Read the Reviews!! I wish I would have. This is a company that simply will not show up for an appointment. I think common decency is that when you schedule something with someone you show up. I called them and let them know that I was waiting and they said sorry "we are experiencing employee issues." They then told me that I could reschedule or wait longer, even though I had already waited 3 plus hours. No Thanks! read more

This company has gone downhill. Used to have great service and reasonable prices. Now that's not the case. A year ago they came out to repair my pump. Expensive repair. Six months later same problem returned. Took three visits to fix. Now for the third time my pump blew off the fittings as it has the other times. Strike three for something that should have been corrected properly the first time around. This time I won't be wasting my money on Yankee Clipper, calling someone else. read more

Could not have asked for better service. Having issues with multiple rotors and my air pressure tank on my pump. Replaced multiple gauges and replumbed my pump -- walked me through the entire process and preventive maintenance. Couldn't have received better service. read more

Scheduled service; no show. Called late in the day to say they had rescheduled without inquiring if I would be available! Second appointment; no show. Called later in day to say that they don't have the staff available to take on additional work; please find someone else! read more

This company did sprinkler and sod installation work for me about four years ago. The sprinkler work was adequate. The sod installation was adequate although there was a problem with a small section bordering the walkway to my house. I notified Charlie B. and he told me he would replace the sod. When nothing happened after about a week, I notified him. When nothing happened after another week or two, I notified him again. He asked me to be patient. When nothing happened after another week or two, I notified him again. Guess what? He told me to be patient. Rinse, lather and repeat. The sod was never replaced. A couple of months ago, I called them and said I was not a bridge-burner and would like them to come by and check my sprinkler system and make any necessary adjustments. After scheduling me for an appointment about three weeks later, they called me and said they had a cancellation and would like to come by that same day. Thinking I was doing both of us a favor, I told them to go for it. They came by and spent about 45-50 minutes making adjustments and replacing some sprinkler heads. A few days later I received a bill for $457, which included a $45 trip charge. I asked them to remove the "trip charge." They refused and gave me "attitude" when we subsequently talked on the phone. I also asked them to lower a new sprinkler head that closely bordered my driveway and was several inches above ground level (the old sprinkler wasn't). They returned and fixed the problem. I was shocked when I received a new bill, charging me $68 for this "fix." When I complained, the removed the $68 from my revised billing. I ultimately paid them $457 for the work done within a month of the job's completion. I would have given them one star had they not removed the ridiculous $68 charge from my billing. I will not use them again. You should not either. read more

I worked for this company during a summer in college. I was actually embarrassed by how we left some jobs looking. When I would take my time to do it the right way, the owner would grab the equipment from me and rush haphazardly to show me the "right way" to do it. They value speed over quality, by wide margin. read more

These guys know what they are doing. I am cheap, call them only every two years, so, there are always issues. The invoice is about 60% of what I figure it will be, that is great. Also, they show up when scheduled, very good. read more

Repaired my entire sprinkler system and did some landscaping including leveling out high spots and removing plants. They did an excellent job for the agreed-upon price. Highly recommend them read more

After providing my address and and being told Yankee Clipper serviced my area by Charlie the owner and they would add me to the books and that his wife would call she did not ever do so. They were supposed to do irrigation and landscape light estimate so they could do the service as well and I cancelled because of lack of communication after I even emailed them to try to remind them to call me. I Contacted them in regards to this to try relay the issue. Charlie, the owner said after this, his crew would come out and service the lawn once for free (seemed to be an olive branch for the communication issue) to see how much it would be monthly...and his wife would call to set up irrigation appointment. No call and no show on the crew ever. Very unprofessional and disappointing. I killed a week waiting for them (not looking for a new lawn company thinking I had one). Contacted them today asking to see what was going on and why no one had ever come or contacted me to be told by text via his wife quite rudely that they do not service my area. If this was true and they made a mistake when they made their promises to service they should have had the courtesy to call, instead of having me wait until infinity for them to service my lawn the first time for pricing. Actually, I just wanted a good service, no mater the price. Not contacting a potential customer after making a promise is BAD business!!! Yankee Clipper is very discourteous and without integrity! #yankeeclipperirrigation #nointegrity #rude read more

These people are outright liars & the work they do is sub-standard,we had to get Hamm's Nursery to re-do their screw ups on our sprinkler system. read more

I have used Yankee Clipper 3 times. There work is good but this last time just recently they sent 3 guys over to do a 45 minute Job? I was asked to pay a fee for each guy. This was a 1 man Job. NOT 3. I actually got them work next door at my Neighbors home. This was a over 2 hour Job. So when they were finished they came to my house to do my Job. 1 of the 3 guys didn't even work. He made some notes. Huh. Really? I called to inquire about this and the Owner tried to suppress what I was trying to say. I even told him the work was fine it was the principal about them charging me because they had three guys there already doing the work next Door. I'm not stupid. I'm offsetting there hourly wage no drought. The Owner asked what the problem was and every time I tried to reply He cut me off and said 4 time my guys are hard working guys. What the Hell does that have to do with overcharging me for 3 guys for a 1 guy Job This was extremely unprofessional!!!!! St Augustine is a small place. I have live here for 28 years. Not good to treat people in a SMALL Town. John H read more

Don't hire these guys!! We had a simple need of fixing and replacing a few sprinkler heads. They arrived and within 5 minutes told me we need a new pump,$695 dollars, then they told me my well was dry. I told them we moved to city water 4 years ago. They refused to believe me. I got the "I have been doing this for 30 years, I know my job" speech. They said they were at a stand still and were going to send the owner. He came out and we got the same speech about his level of experience. My husband had to come home from work to tell him about a switch to test....and low and behold we are on city water. Lots of apologies, they want our business blah, blah, blah. They sent the crew back to fix the sprinklers and the entire system has not worked since they have been here. We had to call another company to come and fix what they did. read more

We moved to St. Augustine in August. We called numerous contractors to get a a working well, irrigation, and sod installed. Nothing was happening. Then we contacted Yankee Clipper. It was like clockwork with Charlie, his wife Judy and their crew. The well was drilled, irrigation and sod installed, and follow-ups to irrigate our new palms, citrus, veggie garden.....etc. We love these guys! read more
