If they happen to not work on a day I truly need them done, they always accommodate me with someone just as professional and attentive. One of the things that means the most to me is how they treat my daughters when I bring them in for their nail appointments. The patience and attention they show them will always mean so much to me. Years later, I still love coming here, and I couldn't recommend Blush Nail Bar enough. If you're looking for a salon where you feel welcomed, cared for, and never just like another customer, this is the place.

During my manicure, I politely asked Jasmine questions about different gel options because I wanted to maintain my natural nails' strength without adding excessive thickness. Rather than helping me understand my options, she became visibly irritated and asked what I was complaining about. I wasn't complaining; I was simply trying to communicate my preferences. Two other employees eventually stepped in to help. Although her demeanor improved afterward, the interaction had already made me extremely uncomfortable. To make matters worse, my nail edges were left rough, and the usual cuticle oil and lotion were skipped entirely. I've overlooked similar attitudes in the past because I've generally been satisfied with their work, but at nearly $200 per visit, I expect both quality and respectful customer service. Asking questions about a service I'm paying for shouldn't feel confrontational. I'm disappointed that after years of coming here, I'm reconsidering returning.

Her tools were incredibly clean and she used a clean nail file for my hands and have it to me after our appointment was done. She gave me a custom nail color I really like by mixing several colors together and it couldn't have been better. I did hard gel on my nails with a Russian manicure and it was only $70 for everything which in my opinion is a very reasonable price. My nails were very weak from over drilling at other nail salons but they are starting to grow healthy thanks to the techniques Kesnia used. Will definitely come back to Kesnia!

Nina is great, I always try to book with her. She introduced me to builder gel / hard gel polish, which I consistently get now. Ideal way to grow out and strengthen your nails without adding too much length. Nina is a pro at them. I've had several people do my toes and haven't had a poor experience. I recommend Iohki / Aoki if she's available. There are massage chairs here for enjoyment. I don't get too adventurous with my nails - just solid colors for me. Still, I've seen plenty of ladies come through for colorfully elaborate designs. All in all, I highly recommend this nail shop if you're around the Toluca Lake, Burbank, Studio City, Van Nuys or North Hollywood areas. This is well-situated and I personally like that it's not on a very major street. Pay via credit card, cash, Zelle, Venmo, etc. I really appreciate that they offer so many options for payment, as a number of other small shops require cash. The new owner, Lily, has renamed the shop to The Beauty Stop. So, if you've been here anytime since mid-April/early-May, you've been reviewing the new shop, The Beauty Stop, under new ownership, not Guru Nail Bar. The owner of Guru Nail Bar, Lily, has another location in Sherman Oaks called Beautevo on Ventura Blvd. Now, I've been to this location when it was Lily 1 and Guru Nail Bar, and then again once it was Lily 2 and The Beauty Stop. I had been going to Guru Nail Bar for my regular appts about every 2 weeks since Nov '23. I stopped in on a whim around Thanksgiving and got the best manicure I've ever had. So I decided to keep going there even though I live nowhere near it. I went as usual in early April and then I was out of town for several weeks. When I got back, I went in for my usual upkeep. It took me two visits to realize the place had been sold and was under new ownership but I knew the instant I walked in for that first appt in early May that something was radically different. The vibe had completely changed. There were new faces but that didn't faze me. It was the energy in the salon - it was a bit more frenetic. Whereas prior the space was calm and chill. I also noticed that while my nails always looked great, they weren't lasting as long. So, I hunted down Lily 1 and her other shop (I knew she had another location because she had referenced it on other occasions). It's Beautevo in Sherman Oaks. I went in for an appt last weekend and it was chill, and calm, and I got the best manicure, as usual. So, just know that if you're coming here to leave a review you're not doing it for Guru Nail Bar.
