The rice is not a regular sushi rice but it's a pretty long grain type of white rice (not basmati). The wasabi was so artificial and didn't taste like wasabi for us. Don't order orange juice. It was nasty and sour then my hubby asked if I noticed what was wrong with the juice. It was diluted... say what!!! In Brazil???!!! Service was ok. Seemed like they only had 1 server but it wasn't very busy at the time. You may prefer out door seating if weather permits. Just felt that the inside by the kitchen / entrance is sort of cramped. It's a simple place and I didn't get any feeling of being in a Japanese restaurant.

São Paulo is known for its great gastronomy, however airport food isn't usually the best, but I decided to give them a try. I really don't like to eat fast food & wanted something let's say "local". People at AA counter told me that there was a subway inside (if I don't eat subway at home wouldn't eat in Brazil at all). The service was excellent & fast as I told them I had to run to catch my flight. I ate some of my food at the sushi bar as I waited for my Shimeji & Shitake mushrooms dish to go. Their prices aren't the cheapest, tell me what is cheap in São Paulo? Everything was very good & I am very grateful I got to eat and didn't starve. Side note: I read some people complaining about them not speaking English. That is like being in German & expecting them to speak Portuguese or your native language. I understand speaking English is very important for international traveling, however learning a few basic local words is not just nice & smart, but also respectful. Thank you very much! It was perfectly seasoned and very savory. Not a lot of soup as part of it but the inside was excellent. We also got the yang chou fried rice which was serviceable and the duck which was a good deal, but the xlb was excellent. The owner told us they make it in house. They have a all Chinese menu and they speak Chinese here. The owner is from Jiang Su. Very friendly. Tea is only 2 real for a whole pot. They also have a really painting of a cat in the old Chinese art style. It's very busy for lunch and most of the locals ordered the nai you man you. (Pan fried sweet buns). We didn't get it but it looked good. Would definitely recommend stopping by, especially if you are Chinese and missing Chinese cuisine after a week in brasil.
