It was perfectly seasoned and very savory. Not a lot of soup as part of it but the inside was excellent. We also got the yang chou fried rice which was serviceable and the duck which was a good deal, but the xlb was excellent. The owner told us they make it in house. They have a all Chinese menu and they speak Chinese here. The owner is from Jiang Su. Very friendly. Tea is only 2 real for a whole pot. They also have a really painting of a cat in the old Chinese art style. It's very busy for lunch and most of the locals ordered the nai you man you. (Pan fried sweet buns). We didn't get it but it looked good. Would definitely recommend stopping by, especially if you are Chinese and missing Chinese cuisine after a week in brasil.

They offer authentic Chinese (Shanghai) dishes, some, only found at China Lake, but if you are not to keen about authenticity, this place also caters not so authentic public, with options like sweet and sour, kung pao chicken, etc... Group of 13 people, rented a private room and ordered several dishes for the group…read more When the bill came, some of the dishes they charged 2X even though we only ordered 1. I pointed out to the waiter and after a few minutes, the Chef/Owner comes out and tells us that he sent 2 orders of some of the dishes because it would not be enough for a group of 13. Anyway, in summary, we were arguing for 30 minutes with him, explaining that our group of 13 had various diet restrictions (celiac, shrimp allergy, vegetarian, young kids, Americans, Brazilians and Chinese) therefore we ordered a bunch of different dishes. How crazy is for him to decide if a particular dish will be enough for the group, send to the table and not even inform us? Also, the dishes came in 1 single plate, we had no idea it was 2 portions, and argue with us about it???? In the end, he took out of the bill and to our horror he proceeded to go through all the left overs that were packed and take away the dishes he sent 2 of. How discussing!!! My family that lives in Brazil told me the same thing happened there several years ago and that is why they stopped going there. We will NEVER step foot again at China Lake!
