Edamame as otoshi (appetizer) and the menu at Yakitori.
Rogerio S.

This is my first visit after their recent renewal and I can only leave positive comments about this Mecca of Japanese food. Although they have some sashimi in the menu, this is the spot to try yakitori, or as the literal translation suggests, grilled chicken. If you carefully take a look around, more than 60% of customers are Asians and that might give you a clue of the size of the trouble you are in... Don't think twice when trying the grilled options and make sure you try the drink menu. And as the Japanese might do, after sips of sake or sochu, as a grand finale, order either lamen or soborodon to make sure you won't have any hangover the next morning.

One of the best japanese typical restaurant that you can find in São Paulo. It is highly recommended from japanese natives. The food is delicious, from the tea to the barbecue sticks (yakitori), lamen or any other plate from the menu. The price is excellent and on lunch time you get a combo meal when order any plate from the menu.

We stumbled upon this small restaurant when desperately looking for food after work. You know you are in a legit Japanese Yakitori restaurant when all the patrons in the restaurant spoke Japanese. Yes, that was the first good sign! Then we sat down and the owner came out to personally explain to us in English what's on the menu. Second good sign! Then he even customized a few dishes for my co-worker who is a vegetarian. That was the third sign this is a great restaurant! The skewers were excellent, I particularly like the dark chicken meat. You have to try to Agadashi tofu here, it is OUT OF THIS WORLD good. Service is excellent also. We ended up coming back here couple of times while we were in Sao Paulo. Highly recommended! 5 Stars in my book!

This is my go to spot when I don't want to think about what I want to eat but I always know it will be delicious ! Feels and taste authentic probably because it is, the menu is in Japanese as well which gives you an idea that you're getting the real thing. I usually always get a ramen dish and man does it always hit the spot ! Everyone is very friendly and there is always a man at the front door ready to slide the door open for the next customer.

Sashimi sushi platter special.

All you can eat salmon sushi...what's not to love?!…read more A group of 5 of us came here around opening team and were seated right away. We couldn't speak or read Portuguese, but a waiter was kind enough to bring over a guy who spoke English. He recommended several dishes from the menu, which we wholeheartedly agreed to even though we didn't know what we were ordering. I have no idea what we got to this today, but they were all so yummy! Another waiter came by every so often with rolled sushi. I'm a big fan of salmon, and for the price of around $20 USD, this place is definitely worth your buck!

If you are a salmon fan and happen to be in São Paulo, it is an absolute sin to miss Sarumon. As…read morethe name of the restaurant makes it very obvious, since Sarumon means salmon in Japanese, you cannot even find prawn or other common fishes in Japanese restaurants in there. More than gullible would you be to think that this would make the menu very castrated or lacking variety. From cevive to grilled salmon, passing through marvelous combination such as salt flower and truffle olive oil sushi. I also came across the sake sangria. Such a marvelous sweet deliciousness. Very fresh, perfect combination for lunch. Highly recommend the place, staff is so friendly and helpful, you can repeated anything as much as you want (sangria is apart, obviously, but the jar costed only 35 reais), the only option is eat as much as you want for 75 reais, which in my point of view is a bargain for what you get. Even the yakizoba has salmon, but if you want a la carte, the only option is yakizoba, which you can have only with vegetables in case you don't like salmon, although going there without enjoying the salmon treats is the biggest waste anyone can possibly think about.
