They have knife-shaved noodles!!! The noodles are authentic, hand-made, perfectly chewy (qq for the Chinese folk out there). They rival noodles I have had in California, and are even better than some places I have been to in California. I love their soup noodles, but especially their fried seafood noodle. Their delivery is also great, as they will pack the noodles separately from the soup to keep them from being overcooked and soggy. The "chive box" was very good (I am not sure what the name is in English, but it's a flattened dumpling that is fried, filled with chive and egg and little shrimp). I had high hopes for this place, bc it looked like a fairly authentic Chinese restaurant and because it's located in Liberdade. However, the food was borderline slop. Everything - including the white rice - was mushyyy. I asked the waiter for a new side of white rice and he said "that's just how sticky rice is". Um, no. It is definitely not. Grains of rice should not be smooshed together into a wet paste. The chicken mush and dumpling mush were somehow even worse. This would be as close as you can get for an authentic Northern Chinese cuisine here in Sao Paulo. I was born and raised in Northern China and knows how the noodles and should taste. They do a pretty job here bringing the flavor to South America. Here is how you know the foods are good: 1. The chef is Chinese and was seen through the glass window yelling at the kitchen staff while passionately tossing things around a bit. 2. The noodles were hand shaved, you can tell by the chewiness texture and shape of the knife mark. 3. The braised pork was almost like you would get it in China. 4. A shot of the Chinese 120 proof white liquor brings it home. However the service is a bit chaotic. The boss lady was busy at the same time very concerned about two of the Taiwanese customers that were their and their satisfaction rather than the rest of the sweaty patrons. I don't really care about the service, just hoping that two customers are personally supporting the restaurant and keep them a float. A + in my book for food. read more

Affordable, tasty, big portions, so make sure you have an appetite! The chefs make fresh noodles on premise. You can watch them by the kitchen window! Rong He is as authentic as it could possible get in South America, and I was very surprised by how good it was. I do have to warn that authentic doesn't necessarily fit everyone's taste, but if you are looking for some real Chinese food then they definitely have some of that here. The portions are enormous - one item is enough for 2 or even 3 people. Given how much they give you, I'd say the price is very reasonable. There's usually a really long line during lunch time, dinner time, and on the weekends - so be prepared to wait if you decide to go during the rush hour times. read more

I'd go back for their jiaozi or try their steamed fish dumplings. I wasn't into their noodle dishes...I like that the dough is fresh and hand cut but the noodles I had were undercooked and the overall dish oversalted but underwhelming. read more

The place is very ordinary but the quality of the noodles is I think very high since they are made fresh. The portions are huge so it's a good idea to order one to share. The only thing is, I don't think north Chinese food is for me, not enough taste/spice. read more

Pretty good Chinese food. My friend and I are visiting from the US and we wanted to find a decent place to satisfy a Chinese food craving. I'm Asian-American and grew up eating alot of Chinese and Japanese food! Menus were in Portuguese. There are limited pictures of the food, so it would be helpful to have your translator app handy to understand what you're ordering. Portions, including the appetizers, were huge so be careful not to over order if you come to the place very hungry. We ordered the pork pan fried gyoza, a delicious mushroom and vegetable/scallion empananda, won ton soup, and chinese broccoli sautéed with garlic. It was way too much food for two people. There must have been about 20+ gyozas in the order. I'd definitely go back!! read more
