We were in Yakima last week and we stopped by the museum. We were greeted by a nice man, who we bought tickets from. I told him my story and he said we should speak to John. Luckily, he was in and we went into the archives office and he showed us all kinds of things! He found my grandfather's store, then he told us that it was torn down, but he told us about other businesses in the area! He showed us pictures dating back over 100 years! He then found my dad's old house. We took down the address - this is something I'd like to see! He gave us a lot of great information - what an amazing man! He showed us some artwork in another room, then sent us on our tour of the museum. We had a wonderful docent give us a tour. She took us room to room, answered our questions and made the entire experience world class! In the middle of our tour, John came by and showed us another photo he had pulled up! Now that's amazing! We finished our tour. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we learned a lot about Yakima. Oh yeah, we also learned that we were staying in Union Gap, not Yakima. After the museum, we went to where the store was, then we went to see where my dad great up. What a perfect day and it was all due to the excellent staff at the Yakima Valley Museum and Historical Association! You have to visit this museum!

Played here again in a charity tournament they had in May. The tournament was the worst ran…read moretournament I have ever been to, players were not chrono'd at all. The tournament was run by someone with the charity but I would have thought that the owner would have overseen some portions of the event especially when it concerns safety. Very surprised no one lost an eye. Either way, I hadn't played paintball competitively in 5 years and with a walk on team we beat the local field tourney team. At one point one of their players was eliminated and walking off, he took a bonus ball in the back, he then turned around and began unloading his hopper. He was met with a wall of paint for his effort. Can't fault the field for this though, it is pretty nice as far as fields go, they had an air field up but we didn't play on it.

It is a unique and effective approach. You won't regret a visit to this center which was funded by the Grant County PUD. One unique factor of the Wanapums is that they never signed a treaty, do not associate with a reservation and therefore do not qualify for the federal assistance provided on reservations. The center is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Stop in for a visit.

At 1:30 a large track with convory belt slowly drop hay and hundreds of elk swarm to eat. You can see them prancing down the side of the hills in large herds. Many patiently waiting for their lunch. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Fir donation you can get in large flat bed truck and go out next the elk and tour. This place is great for all people who love animals and all ages. Easy and free parking. Need discovery pass if you are staying longer then a few minutes. Dogs not allowed.

You need a park pass to come here as we found out last year. Park rangers are here around feeding time and use it as an opportunity to sell you one! Goes to a good cause and it's only about 2 miles up from the highway 12 turnoff so the drive isn't bad. The information room that accompanies the place is really cool as well. Great info on why the place was started and some really nice taxidermied animals from the area, plus a giant viewing window to watch from if it's super cold! Another added plus was the kids area with lots of antlers and furs for the kids to look at and play with - we found it provided since great photo ops! Worth the trip to see some beautiful animals and learn about the history of the place.

They also seem to have a decently stocked bar. The drinks do come in red solo cups, so if you're looking for a glass cup place, this might not be the move.

From the rolling green hills in the background to the gorgeous landscaping on the lower and main lawns, our guests were in awe of Fontaine Estates Winery. It really did all the heavy lifting when it came to creating a truly memorable and beautiful outdoor wedding. Neither my husband nor myself are from the area, but we wanted to do a wedding in central Washington since the weather is more dependable in late summer compared to our area in Seattle. So we took a real gamble in doing a wedding in Naches with little knowledge of the region and we're so happy it paid off! The memory of the sun setting over our outdoor dinner reception is one that'll stay with me forever. As for Amy, she was a total dream to work with. She was so patient and calmly fielded every question I threw her way from venue logistics to decor rentals to day-of scheduling. And on the actual *day* of my wedding, she was busy overseeing clean-up of the venue, making sure everything was running smoothly with vendors, and even drove a forklift to move our reception rentals from the parking lot to the main lawn for us. She takes real pride in the upkeep and presentation of her venue as well as making sure her clients are taken care of and it really, really shows. Thank you for everything Amy and the team at Fontaine Estates Winery! I couldn't imagine a more perfect outdoor/vineyard venue than this one.

Many guests said they felt like they were in Tuscany! The staff was helpful with everything we needed. We had 4 hours the day prior to the wedding to prepare and decorate. Then we had in from 10 am to after 11 pm the day of the wedding- tables, chairs, table clothes and wine glasses were provided- just wonderful!! The kitchen has prep tables and refrigerator/freezer, but no cooking or serving equipment. Thank you for being a great and memorable venue!!

First experience at this archaic venue…read more Advertised race day doors open at 1pm. Arrived with no one around. Found a random employee and she said she heard three different starting times and advised to come back at 3pm. 3pm ~ handful of parked cars reassured the event was still on. Climbing the wooden bleacher steps was a bit startling as the deteriorated planks bend to each weighted step. 5pm ~ qualifications finally start. 6pm ~ races begin. 8pm ~ unfortunately had to leave before the finals to put the kids to bed. Carnival snacks, domestic beer garden, souvenir stand. Sitting high in the bleachers have the soonest shade and safer from flying wreck debris. To watch a few wrecks is the entertainment reason to endure long prerace preparation wait. Good turnout in the stands and the race participants.

Great family place - went to watch while staying one night in Yakima. They were racing trucks. Took…read moremy 7 year old. After a couple races, they brought all the race cars onto the straight away and let the fans walk around the cars, take pictures, and get autographs. My kid even got to sit in one of the race trucks. Then, they loaded the kids up on a school bus and "raced" around the track three times! It was totally fun. They have a family friendly section - no alcohol. The whole place seemed very friendly, the races were really good and not a lot of downtime between each race. Definitely worth checking out if you spend a night in Yakima.
