2 different sushi on a platter

Tasty sushi, very different sushi choices. Lunch menu is well priced for the portion. Staff is friendly. Clean place and lovely ambience.

They have a great variety of rolls to choose from. The ones we had were all great. Service was great, and cute inside.

New Japanese sushi place near the AMc theater. The sushi was very well put together and fresh. We also tried their honey walnut shrimp and coconut curry with chicken. Both dishes are probably more Chinese influenced and tasted great. Service was friendly and prompt. The interior was clean with brand new furniture. Will definitely come back.

Such great quality sushi and a beautiful presentation Favorite place for sushi around here!

Ate here twice since it opened. Once for the lunch specials and once for dinner. Service was great and food was delicious. Will definitely be back soon.

Lotta food. But I have tasted better. Ordered takeout so I can't comment on the ambiance very much.

Enter, Hoshi Sushi, a cozy spot tucked away in a strip mall with the loveliest staff and the freshest sushi. I am so glad we came across it. Everything was cooked/made to order and they even had Japanese beer from Coedo brewery. Here is what we ordered: Tempura Combo, shared as an appetizer 2 Coedo beers (served alongside chilled beer glasses) Seaweed salad 3 Nigiri and 2 few rolls My favorite nigiri was the fatty tuna (toro) which I haven't had too much of before; but now I am a fan. It was buttery and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I also tried the salmon (sake) nigiri and the escolar. Our sushi was served on one big platter with pickled ginger and wasabi. Their tempura was fried to order and came out so fresh. I'd describe their kitchen as semi-open, so while I couldn't see their deep fryer from the dining room, I could hear the sizzle. Their service was really friendly, and during the course of our meal; there were several costumers who came in to pick up to-go orders. I can imagine this spot being a family's go-to sushi spot, and the owners really knowing who their customers are after building a relationship; that's the vibe. I loved our date night here, we will be back!

Our server, Katie, was amazing. She was attentive, funny, and gave great recommendations on both food and drinks. The menu has a wide variety of options, so her guidance definitely helped. We ordered hibachi, which was delicious and a fun experience. The chef put on a great show and even gave us cues for slow motion videos, which made it extra memorable. A few people in our group ordered sushi and said it was really good as well. I had the shrimp dinner and added calamari on the side. The shrimp portion was generous, and everything tasted great. My only complaint is the noodles. They were very thin, similar to Pad Thai noodles, and I personally prefer thicker hibachi noodles. The soup was one of the best I've tasted. The ambiance was cute and spacious, with a cool fish tank and the drinks were a highlight. I had a coconut sake drink that was so good I'd honestly go back just for that. Overall, great food, fun atmosphere, and excellent service. I would definitely return.

Also upgrading the fried rice here is ALWAYS the move - trust me on this one! Since our last visit, they've added noodles to every dish as well! So you get a delicious soup, scrumptious salad, noodles, veggies, fried rice, and proteins of your choice This time we also tried their crispy spicy tuna roll - it was phenomenal! Can't wait to come back to try more of their sushi rolls next time Shinto's is THE place to be!

MUST order- anything Golden, Sushi, Gyoza and Teriyaki sauce on the side. What we ordered: Gyoza - delish would order again. Ponzu sauce was very flavorful and bright Boston roll- subbed soy paper. Fresh. Didn't look at tightly made as I am used to but maybe due to the wrapped. Very good. Spicy mayo on side was good! Hibachi Chicken and Shrimp combo- decent. A lot of food. Chicken a bit dry, shrimp good. A decent plate of food. My friend who is not the biggest fan of this type of cuisine liked it (win!) Golden sauce was delicious- got that on the side. Next time will order it on the shrimp and add to the fried rice. Chicken fried rice- lacking a little flavor. Also, I'm not a fan of corn in my fried rice. That's just a preference. Soup - a bit bland. Needed soy sauce Salad- ok. Teriyaki sauce- delish. Made everything better. Not too sweet. Kind of tasted like there was a little cinnamon in it. All in all- decent hibachi. Again, not my fave. Experience- The host was very inviting. Smiled and greeted us warmly. Our table wasn't ready just yet due to a mistake I made making the reservation. (Accidentally chose hibachi instead of regular table.) They apologized about that and said our table would be ready soon and said we can have a seat at the bar to have a drink while we waited. The owner pulled out a chair for my friend. Very nice touch. Drinks were decent. My friend liked hers more than I did mine. (Mine was too sweet but I am very picky). We paid at the bar and were escorted to our table by the owner. He was everywhere and that was awesome to see: love it when it's obvious someone cares about the food, service and ambiance they provide! Our server was amazing! So friendly, sweet, efficient, and always available. She repeated the order back and made sure I had all of my sauces (sauce queen for sure). Food was good and it came out very quickly- not my favorite hibachi place. What took it over the top was the warm and friendly service we received!

The fried rice was not very flavorful and my hibachi chicken was overcooked and dry. Not a good experience at all! I think there are much better Hibachi Places near Naperville. Would skip this one
