After attending other SAT prep academies, I found that many tend to cram hundreds of SAT vocabulary words and assign a ridiculous number of pages to students. By the end of these programs, students, including myself, cannot remember a single piece of valuable information. Elite Prep, on the other hand, thoroughly goes over each and every page of its books and assigns an appropriate number of vocab words, making sure that every single student understands concepts and solutions to complicated problems. I found that Elite Prep also tends to be fairly strict in preserving an atmosphere of comfortable and kind learning: an atmosphere where students speak up to learn from mistakes rather than staying quiet for the fear of embarrassment (an environment found in many other SAT prep academies). No matter how nice or persuasive the owner of the business is (and believe me she is very persuasive), do not provide your credit card information. Once you do, they will charge your credit card even if you tell them to stop charging. This is exactly what happened to me. I'm sorry that I have to post this negative report. I am not one to do this type of thing, but in this case, I believe I was really treated badly and unfairly. I normally assume positive intent when I deal with people or with businesses, that's what I did this time too. But unfortunately, my assumption was wrong about Professional Tutoring LLC.
