Just go. This man *healed* my back. I don't know how and I don't pretend to know - I just know my pain is gone. I went to a regular doc and they just recommended "ice, rest and codeine". We all know that's a recipe for decrepitude. Anyhoo - my friends saw it with their own eyes, and now are gonna make appointments. read more

Always friendly and fixes any problems with my body. I've had bad motorcycle accidents and work on my feet all day and have a tense back. It amazes me how he fixes me up within a couple of sessions. read more

The best I have ever been to!!! A true healer!! I highly recommend Dr. Xu. Incredibly knowledgeable and kind.

This is a long much overdue review, which I've been intending to do about Dr. Xu's acupuncture treatment. A great friend of mine referred me to Dr. Xu as he was the only doctor who was able to cure her from a cluster headache. So, in search of help with my lower-back/sciatica pain, shoulder pain and an overall dryness (mouth, eyes, skin) after a second time covid, but this time affecting my eyes and somewhat my mouth, I decided to go see Dr. Xu. And thanks to Dr. Xu's exceptional acupuncture skills, he is the reason I am finally back to normal again. I am still treating my back in general, along with my shoulder and forearm tendonitis, but overall, I am in a way way better place now than I was a year ago. And my mouth and eyes are finally back to normal again. Along with his acupuncture treatment, Dr. Xu's herbal tea pills also helped me achieve an overall health status I was looking for, including also getting back to my desired normal weight as everything else gets back into balance again, including the hormones. He's very kind in general and also so understanding when I ask him any questions or concerns, as well as when I need to cancel and/or reschedule an appointment. I feel so much better after seeing him and I believe that my overall treatment might be approaching its end as I am doing a lot better. However, I don't mind seeing him as many times as it takes aside from helping me with my already diminished and almost resolved overall health, his acupuncture treatment skills also helps put my mind at ease and in a good place. Basically, he helps us to achieve overall health as he treats everything's needed (in my case, aside from what I've already mentioned he also helped me increase the blood circulation in my legs). So, I do recommend Dr. Xu to anyone who is looking for one of the greatest acupuncturists out there, and with that said I give him 5 stars! read more

Dr Xu used his skills to help me with joint pain in my ankles by stimulating blood flow in that area. It continues to help with pain in my ankles. Glad I went . read more

This is the real deal Chinese healing. Miraculous work, warm and compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, venerable doctor. Can't recommend him enough. Get yourself rebalanced and whole. Quickly gets to the root and then immediately sets up the remedy. This man is a total blessing and I am so grateful that I found him. I walked in feeling like crap and walked out feeling better than I have in years. read more

Dr. Xu is the best acupuncturist I've ever been to, I've been going to him for 10 years for different different ailments, from pain to injuries to hormones, he cleared up my children's acne and other issues. We love Dr. Xu, he's 100% trustworthy. We love it when he gives us moxy sticks and he teaches you how to treat yourself in the event that it is needed. read more

I have been coming to see him for a while Dr. Xureally great! I felt a lots better after the session I slept really well the pain I had is more manageable now read more

I really liked Dr. Xu's treatments until I was rudely rejected after I brought up the fact that my sessions were becoming shortened. When I first contacted him, he told me that each session was an hour. My third session was cut in half. However, I paid the exact same price as a full hour. After realizing that my session had been shortened, I texted him immediately but did not receive a response. Today, I booked a session for my husband and kindly asked him to make sure he received the full session. His response was, "My price not depends how long the time is". I was never told this. He followed the statement by saying, "That is why I gave you the burning sticks so you can do it on your own". Excuse me, why do I have to pay the same price if I have to do his work on my own? He ended our conversation by, "Find another doctor". Incredibly rude and dishonorable. I would never in a million years treat a client like this. I will take his advise and find a doctor with better bed side manners and who really care about the their patients. read more

I have only been here twice, came in desperately for recurrent bladder infections and Dr. Xu took a long time with me without making me feel rushed. He talked to me about stress, emotions and how it relates to disease and how chi and immune system play a part in our overall health. He did acupuncture and cupping on me, it was a little uncomfortable but totally doable, then applied heat to make me sweat during acupuncture and I could feel the toxins coming out. He boiled herbs for me which I picked up the next day. I am not kidding you, with just ONE treatment my bladder feels 60% better, I am going back a few more times to make sure they don't recur, but this beats taking antibiotics and other chemical western medicines that my Dr. wanted to put me on. Fast forward to March 2015 - After about a month of treatments, Dr. Xu completely cured my recurring UTI's and kidney pains. Acu, cupping, moxibustion and herbs did the trick and I still go for other things as they come up. I haven't had any symptoms in 4-5 months now. Very nice Dr. too, very honest and authentic. read more

Dr Xu - I thank you! I am a believer. Went in for bad shoulder pain and poor circulation. Found my arms were going numb several times throughout the night. Thought I might have too much pressure on arm during sleep. Then it started happening during the day as well. Time for action. Went to Dr. Xu on a strong recommendation. After one acupuncture and cupping session - I realized that I no longer was waking up during the night due to my arms going numb - and then I realized no- shoulder pain! I am so profoundly grateful and will be going back. In Dana Point, has been established for over 20 years - highly recommend! read more

Dr. Xu is an expert in Chinese medicine and acupuncture. I've been bothered by lower back pain and shoulder stiffness for a few years. He is able to help me treat both. I also have acne problems, so he gave me Chinese medicine for it. It doesn't taste well, but I'm slowly seeing results. read more

Dr Xu is a wonderful and caring practitioner. He has balanced my energy so that I have stopped taking hormones. I also have a incontinence issue and while that is not completely healed I have much more control than I used to. I have also used Dr Xu for different pulls and strains I have had due to sports injuries and within 1-2 visits I am pain free and back to normal. I make sure I visit him every 4-6 weeks for a recharge! This guy is the real deal and I trust him completely for anything that goes wrong with me. read more

Dr. Xu is AMAZING! I had a car accident when I was 16 (many years ago) and as I've aged my neck has gotten worse and worse. Every 3 months or so I get a pinched nerve feeling and lose lots of time trying to get better. Since moving to OC from San Francisco I had no hope of finding another great healer, thankfully I was wrong! Dr. Xu is a very skilled and experiences Acupuncturist and healer! He also uses the Chinese Cupping method which has also helped tremendously. Let me tell you that I've tried everything else first, Chiropractic, Massage, Stretching, Yoga, Strength Training, etc....all of those things help but once you get to the point of severe pain-forget it-there is nothing else! I've seen other patients come in for weight loss, smoking help, digestive problems and circulation issues. Mostly you might want to know it does not hurt, it relieves the pain which is all I really need. His office is clean, relaxing and simple. He spent lots of time with me discussing my issue and lifestyle. He examined my tongue and read my pulse. He does take insurance, but my PPO did not cover it-he charges $80.00 a visit and I am there about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes. I leave feeling better than having a massage and totally pain free! Sometimes I go once and sometimes twice, then I'm good for another 3 or 4 months. read more

Dr. Xu was kind and patient with me while I was feeling unwell. He asked me lots of questions and was so helpful and knowledgeable. He gave me some pills to take and the next day I came back for some compounds. The medicine he gave me worked perfectly and in a few days I was feeling better than I had in weeks. I highly recommend him. read more

Dr. Xu is great! My husband and I were suffering with really bad tennis elbow and it was affecting our everyday activities. We went to visit Dr. Xu out of desperation because our arms were not healing. He took us in the same day. After 3 seasons, we were back on the court. Dr. Xu is great. His schedule is very accommodating and his demeanor is great. He used acupuncture, heating to increase blood flow, cupping, massage and chiropractic alignment. Thanks Dr.Xu! read more

Dr. Xu has changed my life. He is the most amazing man and has completely fixed any and all issues I've come to him with. I initially saw him after having dealt with endometriosis for years which I was given no hope to fix when seeing my western doctors. After the first month, he had me off of birth control which I had been on non-stop for 3 years (the "band aid" provided by my original gyno) and I have had a normal cycle and no endometriosis symptoms since. He has also helped balance my thyroid hormones and improved my circulation in addition to several other things. I have since referred 4 people and all continue to see him. He is a wonderful blessing and the most amazing Dr. I've ever dealt with. read more

I was referred to Dr. Xu by my cousin for back pain I had been having for several years. Over the course of about 4 weeks, through cupping and acupuncture, the pain went away completely. I was completely impressed as I had tried going to chiropractors and massage therapist, but nothing ever worked. I have since referred my husband to him for a painful tennis elbow he had and that too went away through 4 sessions with Dr. Xu. read more

How could I forget to review Dr. Xu's incredible work! He is truly a life saver, and knows what he's doing. He can help with colds, his teas are a game changer if you are about to get sick or have some lung infections. My mom was in bad shape and he really helped her out. His bedside manner is impeccable and he is always playing relaxing classical music. I don't go enough, but when I do I feel like a new woman! Highly recommend Dr Xu. He is so kind and his treatment gave me immediate relief from neck and shoulder pain that has been very painful. I slept well that night and I will be returning often to Dr. Xu. Run don't walk to Dr. Xu's office. It's the best decision you can make. He truly is a healer. read more

Dr. Xu is amazing. He will examine you first and let you know if he can treat you. Very knowledgeable about Chinese acupuncture. I have been to him 3 times for severe lower back pain from surfing. He performed acupuncture and cupping. Within a week my back pain was gone. If your in pain and your sick of western medicine pumping you with meds. Give Dr. Xu (shoe ) a shot. You won't be disappointed. read more

Im so happy I made the apt with Dr. Xu. His bedside manner is so fun and he actually cares, your not just a person coming in and wants you to roll out, nope he takes the time to share his knowledge of his profession and advise on what to read, drink, eat to help healing and always stay active, vs go straight to the western medications and pop a pill. I am on my third visit and can feel the change. I live near the water so when the marine layer comes in, I feel it straight at my point of pain. Since I have been seeing Dr. Xu, the three areas in my back feel as tho they are lessoning. A very welcome feeling! I really enjoy the fun teas he send me home with and learning more about the Chinese culture of why they do what they do to heal, makes for an incredible apt. Looking forward to my next apt Dr. Xu. read more

My friends, family, and myself have been going to Dr. Xu for years. He is hands down the most amazing, affordable, compassionate and EFFECTIVE acupuncturist I have ever gone to. When western medicine doctors throw up there hands and tell you there is nothing more they can do for you, or they don't know the cause of your pain, go see dr. xu and he will cure what ails you. He has cured the "un-curable," time and again. From coughs to paralysis, he has worked miracles. read more

Happy Holidays, I have been going to Dr. Xu for over 10 years. On Dec 9th that flu strain of bronchitis hit me like a ROCK and had me down thru Christmas. It occurred to me that if I went to see Dr. Xu I could have been cured already, since it was Dec 26th at least New Years was looking bright, so I got in my car and since I live in Palm Springs prepared for my journey to OC. It was the BEST decision I made, today is Dec 27th and I feel so much better already. With the TLC and more than a hour treatment my bronchitial cough is so much better. Dr. Xu also sent me home with the Chinese Herbs. GOD BLESS....Dr. XU Kim-Rancho Mirage, CA read more

Dr Xu is simply amazing! I can't even tell you what a difference he's made in my life - just go see him! I've tried so many acupuncturists but never has someone helped me so much, so fast. He is such a gentle, sweet & intelligent man. For my treatments he combined acupuncture with cupping and massage, and herbal teas, and my health situation improved tremendously. Within 10 visits, a health problem I had struggled greatly with - involving lots of pain and medical treatments - for five years, was completely gone. Highly recommended! read more

I went to see Dr. Xu as I had injured my knee. I was getting discouraged because it was going on 3 months and the pain persisted, no matter what I tried. I have always been active, and did not want surgery. After 4 visits to Dr. Xu, I have no pain in my knee. It was actually better after the first visit, but I continued as he is also working on the arthritis I have in my fingers. I feel better in all regards. So glad I went to see him! read more

I am aware of many types of Chinese healing methodologies. Dr Xu was thorough and genuinely concerned with my wellness. I only expected to have traditional acupuncture treatment. On my first visit, he did cupping, moxibustion, some massage on key points, and even some joint manipulation. He also sent me home with herbal compresses to leave on my affected areas; we discussed overall lifestyle modification, and suggested specific exercises to help with my pain. After days of not sleeping well due to pain, I went home that evening to a solid 8 hours of sleep. I look forward to future treatments with Dr Xu. read more
