He played the music we wanted, steered clear of our "Do Not Play" list, and was super affordable. We had him for both the ceremony and the reception and the music for both was seamless and classy. He even played some hip Spanish music for my side of the family! Also, this may sound silly, but he never once told the dancing crowd to raise their hands in the air, sing along, or any of that nonsense that we've seen other MCs do. I was very happy with that. He also really made sure that he had all of our names right, including my Cuban grandmother whose name is a bit difficult to pronounce. He engaged with the crowd but not overly so, and he was very accommodating with my husband's music request, including playing my husband's own mixes, and playing an instrumental version of "Baby It's Cold Outside" for my husband and me to sing at the end of our reception. He even cut if off in a good way when my husband and I laughingly had to stop singing because we forgot the words to the second verse halfway through and started cracking up. He's very relaxed and more than happy to guide you through the process. He talks to you with the warmth of a friend, not like a cold business man. Bob recommended that we let him know any and all songs we would like to be sure to have. "The more we put on the list, the more likely we will love all the music". Well, my wife took that to heart and came up with an amazing song list. Our list was not only long, but had several different types of music from Big Band (Swing) to 50's & 60's rock as well as modern songs. Bob took the list and arranged it perfectly! All the rite song types/tempos at all the rite times. We had an amazing amount of positive comments from our guests about how great the music was. We also had the opportunity to extend our reception by 30 minutes, which happened only a few days before the wedding. Bob was more than happy to extend his time for us. Bob is also just a great guy. We were married on June 14th 2014, and yet in October 2015 we were sitting in Ferrara's bakery in NYC having some desert, and as we were sitting there Bob walked by and recognized us. I was busy looking at my wife, but Bob stopped to say hello. He's that kind of great guy. He's busy with weddings and events all the time, plays guitar in a band, and all kinds of other things I'm sure. But he still remembered us so long after our wedding. We couldn't have been happier! Ross, Bridget, Lauren, Tom, Vinny, and the entire 11 piece band we're absolutely amazing! They kept the dance floor packed all night, and everybody has been raving about how amazing they were since the wedding. I've gotten at least 10 texts and calls asking for the information for them for upcoming weddings. I would recommend them to anybody and everybody! If you are the fence of a DJ and saving money or a live band, stop now; yes, it does make a huge difference! This band rocked and literally made our wedding. We were not an easy wedding, we wanted songs from the Beastie Boys to Hey Mambo Italiano, to Ingrid Michaelson. We had an annoying do not play list and even asked the band to sing some songs but without a country feeling. The band came through in every way possible. From the guitarist sliding on the dance floor ripping a guitar solo, to Luciano Pavorotti being performed right after dinner and making literally everyone cry, to the keyboarder nailing every Billy Joel song, everything was perfect! We were nervous because about 75% of the wedding crowd was under 30 years old and the other 25% were an older. The band did an amazing job at playing new and old music that everyone knows and loves to dance too. We didn't want the same typical wedding songs. The dance floor was filled the entire wedding! The band played off the energy of the crowd and we had a ton of energy. From the cocktail hour to the very end the band did not stop playing. Our party even chanted "One More Song!" for an encore performance. I am telling you all our guest came up to us and said they felt like they were in the middle of live rock concert all night long.
