However, there is nothing on their website that refuses people for medical reasons. In fact, I feel discriminated against because of my pregnancy. Would you refuse someone for being mentally handicapped or someone with another physical disability? I'm pretty sure that is illegal. Very poor customer service. If you are a professional teacher, you should be comfortable teaching anybody. I've never been refused for my class before. Wasted my whole morning driving up to Darien.

Arriving the woman running the place (i assume Betty) ignored us for at least 10 minutes. She was busy writing, with the other kids and ordering a teenager on how to do things. Kids that were already there for camp were exercising on machines built for adults like the elliptical. In my opinion completely not safe for anyone younger than 10. So for the Day... my kids said they were on the machines for most of the morning. Then they took a walk to a local restaurant eat lunch. Came back and they played games then watched a movie until I picked them up. Oh then they exercised again. My kids said that the teenager there ran the camp mostly. The adult (I'm assuming Betty) was behind the desk the entire time. I've written a review on here before and it always gets deleted. I say save your money. Spend a little more on a camp that you know you're kids will benefit from. Also... I was a subway one time during lunch and my friends and I had a couple tables they were saving. Betty and a group of like 12 kids stormed in and she was yelling that she had a reservation telling us to move. The employees told her that she didn't and were shocked at her behavior. She realized that we were not budging because we started eating our food and stormed out with her group of campers. This place should be shut down.

All of the teachers- I took classes with Ellis and Reggie- are extremely patient and supporting. They take the time to make sure you are doing the exercises properly, and give custom workouts even within one class to make sure everyone is appropriately challenged based on their fitness level. Last but not least, you will no doubt become great friends with the other bootcampers. It's a supportive group of people which is just about the best motivation you can have to get out of the house and make it to the gym. I took some private lessons with Anna and she was extremely patient and helpful in teaching me the basics of most of the styles of ballroom/latin. She was so much fun to learn from and talk to, and provided great humor throughout our lessons. My confidence on the dance floor has increased tremendously thanks to her! Meredith the manager is also fantastic - she made me feel welcome from the first moment I stepped into this studio. Despite coming in a little late for a salsa group lesson, she immediately accommodated me and taught me the salsa footwork before letting me join the class, so I would be all caught up! The instructors are really encouraging and take the time to make sure you feel comfortable and safe, while still pushing you in the best way. I was surprised by how quickly I started feeling stronger and more confident. It doesn't feel like you are dragging yourself through another gym workout. Every class feels different and they all satisfy the creative itch for me. The studio itself is clean and just has really good energy. You can tell the owners and instructors genuinely care about creating a space where people feel supported.
