I hate that I have to re write this review after a year. Last year I went in for a little "me" time…read moreaway and booked an appointment as I've been to this salon a couple times before and had amazing experiences. This time was not. I booked a sugar scrub/ massage and a facial. My scrub/ massage was not good. I got the scrub for 15-20 mins then went to wash off, when the girl came back in, she lightly rubbed me down in oil. My services were done 20 mins early (did have to wait for a bit for her to come back in after washing off the scrub) When I was done, I asked them does the massage not come with it anymore? The lady that gave me my services as well as the manager on duty both said oh no just a light rub down. I did tell her I was done early as well which I got a discount to 88$ for that service (88$ for a 20 mins scrub ok?) I did write a review which the owner Frank called me personally to find out what happened. In said call he did offer me to come back when him and his wife were home to get the service again on them and he would have his wife do it, so it was done correctly. So now I am here writing this review. I wanted to take my bestie for the scrub/massage for her Christmas gift and figured since I have the free one, I will join her (we always go together anyways) We are just booking for May 9th as with life this was the only time we could get in together. Well Frank just called and said he did not offer me a free one and that I got a discount that day. I said OK sure I got a discount but 88$ for a sugar scrub ok whatever. He made it seem like I needed the free service, I don't I can pay for myself but when you are offered a free service for the service you didn't get then to now turn around and change your mind and say you don't remember saying that, is crazy to me. He made me happy in this time so I would take my original review down (which I did after speaking with him as I thought he was making it right, guess not) Needless to say, we have now cancelled our appointment, and we will not be returning to La Vida Salon again!

Today, I decided to visit their spa. I sent an email to book appointment the same day and in a span of five minutes I got a call from Frank to arrange the schedule. I am so glad he accommodated us for the service. I was able to booked a couples massage and also scheduled a hair appointment for me as well same day at 2 pm. Since we are only visiting Windsor for the weekend. For my hair, I chose to get a Balayage, a technique that gives a subtle, blended look. My hairdresser, Marianne, listens to what I wanted for my hair & she. gave recommendations. She spent a good 3 hours on it, and I must say, she did an incredible job, she took time and focused, I like the way she is being nice. The result of my hair service was a balanced and softer look that I loved. The business owner also checked on me from time to time. Next came the couples massage, our first time at the spa. It was truly fantastic, especially for my husband, who experienced a strong Thai massage from a skilled practitioner. My husband was so happy with it. But unfortunately with my massage therapist, I find it is an "ok" service. I would say from 1-10 points , I will give her only 6 points because she forgot to massage my both arms. I had didn't quite meet my expectations like the full body massage. It lacked the desired pressure and technique, leaving me feeling unsatisfied and tense afterward. At first, She was not able to introduce herself, I find her timid and not friendly. The ambiance at La Vida is upscale and the salon feels above average. Clean and smells good inside. They have different rooms for various services, which adds to the experience. While the cost is a bit on the higher side, the top-notch service of the business owners / reception host , my hairdresser and one of the massage therapist who is from Thailand justifies everything. Wifi: Free with password Parking: If you are a new customers like us . There's a few parking spots in the back, a metered front street parking and I think the side streets is a free parking. Overall, we had a great time. I was thrilled with my hair and the massages were simply remarkable. We're definitely planning on returning to La Vida spa and salon in the future. I initially got a…read moretreatment done for which I paid full amount (unimpressed with the results) however I put down a deposit for $1000 for a different treatment I wanted to try out (this amount wasn't a requirement, I wanted to put down most of it upfront). I changed my mind later as I found better options with more reasonable pricing elsewhere so I asked for my deposit back which they adamantly refused. When I brought up that no one had explained to me that any deposit is non refundable, their response was that oh it's stated at the bottom of the receipt I signed. It wasn't a treatment I had started and stopped midway, this was beforehand. So everyone please BE WARNED about this as it seems like they care way more about the money than their clients. Editing since I can't respond directly to below: Yes my apologies not all of $1000 was towards the new treatment, $250 was for the initial treatment different from the rest of the treatments that I never started. I know for a fact that no one told me in person that the deposit is non refundable. How am I supposed to contact the business owner if the call is from a no caller ID? More over I had asked to text since I was very busy the whole week working 6a-6p. It seems doubtful that all of two positive reviews on here are from actual clients (especially given that you guys do these treatments on yourselves as I was told). Please have the decency to clarify the non refundable status next time. It seems so shady overall- hoarding money for a treatment the client does not want to proceed with, you owe me $750 let's make that very clear. I want everyone to be warned to be careful putting down a deposit for such a business that lacks ethical values.

I often times go for facials and their technicians make sure to leave my face feeling smooth and clean. Their customer service is top notch and one of the many reasons I continue to go back! I cannot wait for my next visit. The entire staff at Evolve are very knowledgeable and have no trouble answering any of my questions. I cannot say this enough, I LOVE Evolve. She was very attentive to my goals and worked with Dr evangelista to make sure everything was seamless. She got me in within a couple weeks. Much quicker than I anticipated. Still just a couple weeks out but so far so good. Highly recommend working with Kendra to communicate your goals and get scheduled.
