I've been getting botox for many years and have learned that the injections cannot be too close to my eyebrows or it causes my eyelids to droop. I told her this when I first came in. Then while she was cleaning my forehead, she was also wiping my eyebrow. I told her, "why are you wiping that area? Please, do not inject botox so close to my eyebrow, I know what I'm talking about." Did she listen or care? NO - She injected right into my eyebrow, I should have gotten up out of the chair immediately! I went back a week later to show them (the one that did injections and another lady) the poor results and they said she could inject MORE botox! Everyone knows that you cannot fix a droopy eyelid with more botox. I wanted my money back but they just offered me more injections - she obviously doesn't know what she is doing or she just doesn't care, how could I trust her to inject more?! As a result, I went on vacation looking like I had a stroke with a droopy, ugly eyelid. It almost seemed like both women were happy that I had such bad results. They tried to convince me it didn't look that bad. They totally dismissed me and my concerns. Very disturbing!

They billed BCBS $420 for a "surgery". No anesthesia or cutting were performed. No expensive equipment utilized. And yet they feel they have the right to charge $420 for this. That's on top of $466 just to walk in the door for a total billed of $866. The contracted price brings this down to $269 which is still absurd. This is insurance fraud plain and simple. They billed a surgery for something that should not have been charged considering the walk in the door fee. The billing department was totally uninterested in this matter and never returned my calls. If you are interested in being scammed/overcharged and want to contribute to rising insurance costs definitely check out Grekin!

They only removed two which is not what i requested, just indicating not necessary, but who is the patient? Told to come back after 30 days for free touch up if not resolved. My nurse practitioner went out on maternity leave and there was a charge for services as a 'different' provider was to see me. Wait, same office so why should the patient be on the hook for new charges concerning the previous services rendered? But here is the rub, first visit only removing two skin tags pushed the billing allowance up. First tag removal fee and 2-15 (some limit) removals another fee. Only removed two skin tags to increase the client billing fees with minimum services. On the second follow-up visit which was supposed to be free on touch-up turned yielded new additional changes, new provider (NP still on maternity leave) so have to pay. While at the counter checking out already irritated on new provider charge, an office staff member was instructing the billing person to bill me the maximum charges allowed as this patient was credited on first visit for nearly all the office charges due on negotiated rates. Would appear that billing practices is a concern over patient care. I will not be recommending nor returning back to Grekin Skin Institute/Advanced Dermatology in Shelby Township or other locations.

I carefully selected this center based on reviews while waiting for a groupon to show up regarding laser hair removal. There are two women that do it, a foreign lady and an older blonde haired lady. If I could have the older, blonde haired lady to do it everytime I probably would have kept up with it. The foreign lady is very rude and didn't have as much knowledge as the blonde haired lady. I requested the blonde lady and would get the foreign lady. The cancelled my appointments many times, called even more times to reschedule because somehow, almost every time I booked an appointment, it was never the right time that they opened. They kept blaming "someone new" but it was always the same lady who did the scheduling for me and numerous times there were comments on how she had been there for such a long time. I was really looking forward to getting a bang for my buck here and the laser hair removal working successfully. Neither of those things happened. Another thing about it is that the one time I was able to get the blonde haired lady was the time that I could actually notice a difference in the hair I was trying to remove. She has a different technique and I'd say it works best. The other times the foreign lady did it I never once noticed any difference whatsoever. Quite depressing.
