I was a little disappointed with my first experience at this new theater. The self service tickets in the front did not work. There were about 3-4 families there who then had to wait in line when there were only 1 person working. Their wifi says guest wifi, however it really isn't for the guest. I was very excited for a theater to open near us, however so far very disappointed with this one. The owner seems like he doesn't care about the guest experience or his employees. The employers were amazing however you could tell they were very restricted in their roles. My hope is the owner(s) start to appreciate their guests and their employees. read more

Got in for a late night movie, showed up as the movie was scheduled to start. The kiosks to buy tickets wouldn't let us buy tickets so we waited in line at the concession stand where a group of 5 girls were getting candy. Despite there being several employees wondering about aimlessly in a confused manner no one tried to help. I asked one of the employees if he could help us get tickets since we hoped to get in the movie after the previews. He walked over and told us to wait. Several employees just stared at us as we stood there. Frustrated we just left. read more

Great theater! Very clean very nice & they having hearing assisted Head phones and staff is nice! The only complaint like most movie theaters is pricing can be outrageous on concessions. But I'll keep coming back, it's my go to spot for a movie! read more

While I have had some issues with the utility of Xscape's online website (specifically through ticket ordering), the theater itself is clean, well-maintained, and comfy. Its staff, in particular, are absolutely wonderful, and in my experience, they care about their patrons. When I was unable to procure advance tickets online and made the trip over there to purchase the tickets in person, they bent over backwards to ensure I was satisfied and my complaint was heard. Everything about the theater seem impersonal. The set up of purchasing your ticket was easy but didn't feel like it was secured. The kids working behind the counter weren't knowledgeable of the food selection and pricing. Also, they looked unenthusiastic to work there. First time here.dirty entrance with popcorn all over the floor,they directed us to the wrong side and trash can was leaking something, Recliners are average and the sound too. I think we'll go back to another theater next to time My 11 year old daughter loves popcorn and she didn't eat half her bag so most likely even their popcorn isn't good . read more

Without reading any reviews, I chose Xscape 1488 because of the Riverview location in Florida which is awesome! Upon entering I was a little taken aback just because it was not at all what I was expecting. Its was kinda straight to the point ....kiosk, box office, concessions; not even many movie posters on the wall, nothing engaging! Just because of the location in Florida, I was expecting the bar/restaurant as I had my heart set on some wings!! There was beer offered, mozzarella sticks (which I settled for), white castle, chicken tenders in the way of hot food plus, all of your regular hot dog and nacho choices. There's also a lot of dead space that would def accommodate something more engaging! The seats are comfortable although the cleaning crew could pay a little more attention to the cup holders...mine was disgusting! I get it, not all theaters are the same and I'm learning even "chains" but, to come JUST for a movie and popcorn, I could've waited for it to come out on Netflix! Going to the movies nowadays should be an experience as there are so many other ways to watch! Next time I'll read reviews as I usually do!! If you want to have an AMAZING movie experience this is the place to go! The staff is SUPER FRIENDLY.... always around for a good conversation or to help you with your consumer needs! The chairs in the theaters are VERY COMFORTABLE! Although avoid the rental theater at all costs, very dirty from people bringing in foods. My wife and I rented the theater once and it was a great time besides the icing stained floors. If you're looking for a quick moving going snack, try their mac and cheese wedges, you'll LOVE them! Over all this is my favorite place to go because it gives you a hometown movie feel compared to the mainstream theaters such as AMC. AMC is the WORST! It's a really nice theater clean seats are large the problem is when you try to buy tickets you have to pick your seats but no one tells you how the seating chart is especially when you've never been there before so you don't know which is up which is down where the middle then wear them anything it is and when you asked they act like you're stupid would go back but I wish their customer service would be better read more

I love this theater. It's very clean, they have comfy reclining chairs with lots of leg room. The xtreme xscape room is my favorite. The rows ahead and behind you are on separate levels so no worries when it comes to people kicking your chair during the movie. I definitely recommend visiting this theater. read more

This is our go-to theater. It used to be the grand in Conroe but after watching a movie on that "Xtreme" screen you never want to go back to the regular one! Love that every seat is a recliner as well, unlike the star cinema where you have to try to reserve your spot early enough to get in one of the 2 rows with the reclining seats. read more

The negative people on here are really stupid. Please go somewhere else so there's more room for the rest of us. Overall the place is great! The girl at the ticket counter wasn't really cheery but maybe it was an off day. And the restrooms could use more attention but the quality of the theater is definitely great. Absolutely Horrible Experience. The usher threatened to eject me if I didn't put my phone down. No one was around at a 10am showing. This guy clearly on a power trip and I'm sorry I was checking my phone occasionally for a text about a family member in the hospital. I wasn't talking or anything. Saw Solo here opening weekend and there was no sound for about the first 10 minutes of the movie. Didn't bother to restart the movie. We decided to give them a second try the following weekend and during the climax of Infinity Wars the video went out...TWICE. I was excited to finally have a theater so close to home but I won't be spending my money at this theater again. read more

I love this place!! So glad to have a theater in the neighborhood... would give it 5 stars for great movies, great location, comfy seats and quick snack line. But, just a couple suggestions... the machines to buy your own tickets rarely work. By the time you get frustrated enough to go to the counter, there are 5 other groups in line with the same problem and only one person at the desk. Last movie we arrived 15 minutes before and missed the first few minutes of the movie. Why would I buy them online and pay extra when I live 1 mile from the place? It should be just as easy to buy them onsite. Loved seeing an employee with special needs taking our tickets. She was super sweet and knew exactly where to send us. Manager training her was a prick... rolled his eyes at her and looked at me like he was sorry. Came out from our movie and his grumpy self was still at the ticket counter glaring at people as they came out. Definitely looked like he didn't want to be there. The rest of the staff are always wonderful. So fix your computers, sack the cranky guy and I will change it to 5! :) read more

Very comfy seating. Loved having a reserved seat and not having to arrive 30 minutes early to get a good seat. Will definitely return!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I went a few months ago and the place was dead. I realized that we had accidentally bought handicap reserved seating online so when I saw the seats I walked back up to the front to find someone. The red headed young man taking tickets was standing at the booth texting for a good 5 minutes and would not acknowledge me. So I went to the front counter where the young girl proceeded to tell me if I wanted to sit somewhere else I had to pay for new tickets. I explained that I had bought the tickets online in a rush and did not realize they were handicap. She basically said either buy new tickets or just sit in those seats. Since they weren't willing to exchange them we decided to go ahead and sit in the seats. I was mindful and we decided we would just leave if we saw handicap person that actually needed seats we would leave. Well the place was empty so it really did not matter. Left the movie and kid at entrance booth was still slouched over texting on his phone not acknowledging anyone. We gave it a pass that time. Today we went to go see a movie with my dad who is actually handicap. The place was packed and not 1 of their handicap parking spaces was open for us to park. We had to park very far away and try to get my dad in the door hobbling on his cane in the rain. I let my dad go inside and went back outside to check the handicap spaces. Not 1 person parked in handicap had stickers, plaque, or plates indicating they were actually handicap and in need of the 20 plus places actually needed for a handicap person so I told the girl at front to please tell her manager that all not just some of the handicap spaces were taken by people that should not be parked there. She looked at me like I had 2 heads. Ok moving on. We went to go order snacks and drinks. The kid behind the counter violently caughed on everything he handed us. Since its flu season we tossed it all and lost $24 on our drinks and food. Wasn't going to take the chance. Ok we go into movie theater about 10 minutes before start. The theater was filthy, garbage everywhere. I wanted this to be a nice experience to take my family for christmas holidays so I did not say anything. Didnt want to look like an a** in front of parents. Now here is the great part. The movie was over and both my sister and dad needed to use the restroom. So I stood outside the men's rr waiting for my dad in case he needed help back to car. The same red headed young kid rudely asked me to move because I was blocking traffic. I kindly moved near the benches in the middle right outside mens room. Literally I was standing up against the bench and he again came over to me and very loudly told me I needed to move because I was causing traffic to block the entrance. 1. There were no people coming in or out at the time. 2. I was standing near the waiting benches so I was in no way blocking traffic or causing a disruption of ingress and egress. This kid must have told me 10 times I needed to move. I kept telling him I was waiting on my elderly dad to get out of restroom. He literally started screaming at me telling I needed to move. I then told him I would move when my dad got out of restroom. That is when he started getting closer to me in a very threatening way shouting "just move lady". At this point he was so upset he was screaming, crying and holding his face with his hands like he was having a full on meltdown to get me to move. I asked him to get his manager 3 times and all 3 times he told me no and to just do what he said and move. The entire thing was so bizarre. I looked around for manager but could not find one. We decided to leave and just never go back to that theater. As my family and I got into the car and replayed all the events with this lunatic, we decided there must be something mentally wrong or challenged in some way. I am all for hiring people with mental issues, but if they can't keep their anger under control they should not employee them. I was shook. He scared me and I would never recommend this place. That red headed teenager is ruining your movie theater. He is a major liability. The entire place is just mismanaged. No way people will continue going there with that kinda service. I hope their management sees this and makes some personnel changes. This is not going to last long especially in a place like The Woodlands and at those prices. Good riddance. read more

We went there to see the new Avengers movie 6-9-18. The theater is nice, the recliners are nice but the audio is very poor. In all of the previews and the movie, the music and the explosions were blasting loud but all of the dialogue is barely audible. You couldn't understand 10 words in the whole movie. Maybe it was some audio mix problem they were having that day, but we'll probably go elsewhere next time. read more
