First the prices are getting out of hand. The customer service is obviously in India or some other country which has barely grasped the english language. They raise the price every year but do not let anyone know and charge late fees because you were not aware. Customer service can not fix any thing and are impatient even though you have to wait 30 minutes to get a hold of them. Can not wait til we have another provider in this area. Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. I tried to set up internet service on my newly built house on August 15th. They sent out a technician who said we needed a cable drop. An appointment was made and 2 weeks later another technician came out. He saw that we had an existing conduit but it was crushed and it couldn't be used. He said we needed to schedule a cable drop. Again. This time, he ran a cable across our lawn and they actually put us in a queue to have a third party company to bury the cable. So the clock officially started on September 4th. At one point someone came out and flagged the public utility lines. Then two more people came out. One was a technician who couldn't do anything. The other was someone who was supposed to put in the cable. Instead they tried to free up the existing crushed conduit. They failed. They said they would be back the next day. That was three days ago. So I went to the local store. They looked up my ticket and someone had changed the start time of my ticket to October 4th. According to the personnel in the store the third party has 89 days from the ticket date to complete the job. They had just fraudulently moved my start time back a month. She told me that it wasn't just me, they are doing that to everyone. She didn't know why and she said that maybe because the company spread themselves too thin. She said that all she could do is send an email to the supervisor and he would call me. "100% chance he would call". Still waiting. Some numbers: Between the help line, the chat line and the local office, total number of times I've been told a supervisor would call me and never did: 7 Total number of times I've been told that my "ticket was escalated" by the help line: 11 (The local Xfinity store told me that the people on the call center don't have the ability to "escalate a ticket" but she refused to say the call center lied to me.) Total number of visits to my home by Xfinity employees: 6 I feel Xfinity has an obligation to identify the third party company responsible for burying cable including contact information. Internet connectivity has become an essential utility. Laying cables across lawns, driveways and sidewalks, etc is not only unsightly, but risky. Xfinity should be held responsible for any liabilities associated with that practice. read more

Despite my temptation to write reviews which counter the prevalent opinion, there's no two ways about it when it comes to Comcast: you're going to have a frustrating experience because they have a monopoly and virtually no incentive to go beyond the most basic customer service. So why am I writing this review? For two reasons: 1. I've had a lifetime supply of dealing with this particular branch, so I have a few tips. 2. A friendly reminder that no matter what frustration you might face, it's not the employees' fault (they need a job like any of us, and if I had to guess, they're not big Comcast fans either). When dealing with this location, you will likely face long wait times if you go anytime after 4:00pm on a weekday and anytime on the weekends. If you are able, by any stretch of the imagination, to go in the early afternoon (2:00pm), you will hopefully have a quicker, more convenient experience. And as I alluded to above, remember that these men and women are just doing the best they can with a company that cares terribly little about its customers. It's not their fault, so don't lose your cool with them (I've been to this location 5 or 6 times and almost every time, there's someone flipping out - don't be that person). Lastly, a few helpful tips: the self-installation of the boxes is fairly straightforward, so picking up the equipment at this store and doing it yourself will save you the installation fees! Also, do yourself a favor and buy your own wi-fi router. A good router will cost $100 or less, which means it'll pay for itself within a year (I think Comcast charges you a $9/month rental fee for theirs). Good luck! read more

Review for xfinity Internet : Honestly, I've never experienced an Internet as horrible as this one. The connection drops at least once an hour and makes Web surfing, emailing, gaming and streaming (can't even get our direcTV to connect to it) a never ending hassle. Want to download music? Forget about it. I will be cancelling and trying to find something more reliable asap. You'd think with the advertising everywhere in the the area that the service would be better. Would give a zero if possible. Bigger lady with glasses was rude and gave me no chance to talk and kept Interrupting. Male worker there was only competent worker that was polite. Finding a way to switch verizon because they are better with customers. One word...scam. I know most internet providers are this way but I must say this one has been the worst. Yes, their speed is great. Yes, they were timely in setting up our box. Does that make up for what I am about to say? No. We called after seeing an add for $99 internet. Called. Talked to the guy. Gave him our address (Star City). Told us it would be $115 after tax and renting a box. Cool. Go to check the bill today...$160. Well turns out the guy did not check Star City prices which are apparently higher than Morgantown. So did he purposefully do that or accidentally? Guess I will never know. AND there are MANY hidden fees. If you can pick a different provider, do it. All they want is your money and will lie and scam their way into taking it. read more

Several people are complaining that after purchasing Internet package, most watched channels are gradually taken away. They will tell you it was a mistake and that channel is in the premium package. Don't let them SCAM you!! Upon buying a package make sure to ask them to make sure and send a confirmation what you are buying is correct!!! read more

First of all, the employees that I have dealt with at this location in Morgantown didnt know what the heck they were talking about and they all tell you different things and can be flat out rude. I have had an issue with an account being terminated without my consent and was told by an employee very rudely that "they can do whatever they want when a lease is handed to them". I was not called or given notice that my account was being terminated by another tenant and when I questioned this she told me that they did not need to notify me of the termination (which I then found out by Customer Service that her statement is not true and I should have been called on the spot). I was told by a different employee during a different visit that my termination fee could be waived and that he would make a note in my account so when I call billing services they see my fee should be waived due to the circumstances that arose. When returning back to the store to give back the equipment, the lady who told me they could do whatever they wanted with account termination, was so rude and told me that whoever told me that my fee would be waived at that location was wrong and he shouldnt have said that. This lady was getting angry with me because I had even asked her about termination fees. Well lady, that is your coworker and instead of getting angry at a customer for being given false information and wanting clarification, then maybe you should correct him so he doesnt make the mistake again. It seems as though employees at this location just dont care about how they speak to college aged customers. Comcast in general sucks. I have been dealing with this termination fee nonsense for 2 months now. I have been told by billing service agents that my fee would in fact get waived and i wouldnt have to worry about it MULTIPLE TIMES just to find out today that the fee is still on my account and its past due. The fee wont and cant be waived so now I am stuck with an early termination fee for a 2 year service that I didnt even know I was receiving because I had originally asked for only 1 years worth of service. So all in all, I think Comcast takes advantage of and lies to college aged customers by giving them services that they dont even need or ask for in the first place. read more

I have been a customer of comcast in Somerset, PA for many years. I also have an account in Ebensburg, PA. When our business was shut down by the covid - 19, I received an email from comcast saying that they would lower our payment since we are shut down by the mandate by the governor. I spoke to a representative of comcast who told me she had put both of my locations on this program, but when I received my bill, they had only done location and my other bill was the regular monthly amount. When I called comcast, and asked about this error on their part, Ashleigh told me I was a month behind on billing, the lockdown started in March and if I was a month behind in paying my bill, both statements would have been on one bill. read more

Comcast's customer service is terrible, they're expensive compared to other providers, their interface is antiquated, internet speeds are slow, and their on-demand features always freeze inexplicably. DirecTV installers are coming on Monday to switch our cable. Unfortunately, we're stuck with Comcast until this area gets ANY other internet provider but Comcast and then we're definitely switching the moment the opportunity arises. Xfinity/Comcast is the god awful WORST company to deal with. Their customer service ranks near the bottom of the industry for a good reason! They rely on having a monopoly in areas, but that is changing slowly but surely. You call their Customer Service and frequently get people from overseas that do not carry on proper conversations. They make appointments and don't keep them. I just dropped most of my services except Internet because they are the only game in our area for now. AVOID COMCAST. Awful service. They hide things from you. They do not disclose all the connection and installation costs even if you ask repeatedly for them. They charge you $8/mo rent for a modem and will not tell you that you can buy it anywhere for $80 bucks (a Docsys 3.0). They hook you with an introductory offer, then jack up the price w/o warning. If you call to ask for a lower price (like the one currently advertised for new customers) they treat you harshly and will not budge. You know you are being fleeced and there is nothing you can do. Wait! there is something you can do: switch to DSL. I did! I got Frontier (same as Verizon) w/unlimited nationwide calling and internet for $50/mo, price locked for 2 years! w/o contract and a FREE model/WiFi router. My boyfriend and i recently switched from Frontier to Comcast we have internet and 20 cable channels (Basic)! Cable is great but the internet I'm not so impressed with! We got internet strictly for gaming on xbox and for wifi.
