Cons: muddy area where ride on toys are, not cleaned off after rain, big sign saying kids shouldn't run or yell?? (Kids do that if they are small and having fun!) general store had overwhelming cigarette smell when you walk in when we were expecting cookie or donut scents. No one manning train or not running? I'm sure in spring through fall it's better but December you need to bundle up! Wear boots or old shoes for mud. We will try maybe again in spring and hopefully the smoky smell issue will be resolved because that is inappropriate for the public and a turn off.

We hosted my daughter's 8th birthday party at Sweet Meadow Farm after reading about how amazing…read moretheir birthday parties were and we were absolutely blown away by our experience. From the ease of the booking process to the day-of execution, the entire process was 10 stars. Hannah and her team went above and beyond (which I now understand is their standard MO.) They effortlessly managed all of our decor, seemlessly and joyfully wrangled 12+ children (and twice as many extremely excited adults.) The experience was educational and extremely interactive (We decorated mini horses! We held/pet so many incredible animals! The kids rode unicorns!) Even the coloring pages had our daughter's name printed on them. There was not one aspect of the day that felt like an after thought. The attention to detail and the care they show is so amazing. I really can't thank Hannah and her crew enough for hosting (far and away) the best birthday party my daughter has ever had. Core memories were made by all of us.

I am…read morenow 33- and I took my four-year-old niece here so we could build a scarecrow like I used to with my aunt. The employees are pleasant. The prices are great. You can build a scarecrow- they offer clothes or you can bring your own. The price was really good. And the experience was even better. You sit in all the hay- you're given instructions on how to build him/her and then you make memories. Once you are all done, an employee puts your scarecrow together for you. And then you can draw the face. It's exactly the same process from when I was little and It brought back so many memories. They also have a small farm in the back . You pay for food and then you can see the chickens the horse, the goats and a few other animals. Also, during the weekend you can do pumpkin picking and go on a hayride. If you haven't been here, this is for sure a hidden jam that's been around for an extremely long time. My niece enjoyed her time and our scarecrow is so cute.

The animals were also a big hit - horses, bunnies, goats, geese, and mules can be seen up close. The music and food also do not disappoint. They feature bands on the weekends that play into the evening and there are picnic tables and fires to keep you warm. The food truck there also serves pretty solid burgers, hot dogs, and fries. A bit on the pricey side but you do get a ton of crispy fries and even the black bean veggie burger was solid. Not to mention there is a full bar there. I mean there is literally something for the entire family. Can't recommend it enough for a nice evening.

I also wished the animal enclosures were better kept. There wasn't a single one with clean water and the bedding looked dirty. We walked through the petting zoo, there was horses, sheep, goats, roosters, turkeys, pigs, cows, the kids got a kick out of it. We each got a small pumpkin to paint or take home which the kids really enjoyed. They offered horse drawn rides, tractor rides, face painting, story time with mother goose & a corn maze (which was not much of a maze). It is really perfect for kids 2-10. The store offers a selection of breads, pies, jams and produce. They sell ice cream, and had cider donuts available and outside they have a small shack that sells hot dogs, chips, etc. Overall we spent about 2 hours here and really enjoyed it!
