We absolutely loved working with Andrew and his Xcite Photography team for our August wedding. We initially found out about Xcite from a Facebook friend who had used Xcite for their wedding (whose ceremony was at the same location as ours). Looking at the packages and pricing, we were immediately drawn to the "bang for the buck" that Xcite Photography offered, especially for the quality of photos. After meeting with Andrew in person, we were even more excited at the prospect of having Andrew photograph our big day. It was clear that photography is something that he is passionate about. Hesitant to book the first photographer we met, we met with two other photographers. There was a night and day difference between Xcite Photography and the others. Notably the customer service and the services received for what you paid were far below what Xcite Photography was offering. We ended up booking Xcite photo with the pearl package, and then eventually upgraded to the diamond package. We shot our engagement photos with Andrew in downtown Naperville in June. During the shoot, Andrew's calm personality was something that immediately stood out to the both of us. We knew that with all of the chaos on the wedding day, a calm personality would be much appreciated. Never having professional photos together before, we were grateful for the direction that Andrew gave. It was just enough to get the great photos without looking too posed. A couple of weeks before the wedding, we filled out a day of logistic form to go through all details of the wedding and to note any special details that we wanted Xcite Photography to know as they were capturing our big day. Two days before the wedding, we went over the filled out form with Andrew to ensure that he understood everything correctly. The day of wedding went so smooth with our photographers and videographers. The groom and his groomsmen had a blast shooting with the photographer, Tyler, and the girls equally enjoyed working with Andrew. During the ceremony I liked that Xcite Photography (and videographer) were able to capture stunning photos without being the intrusive photographers that you sometimes see at weddings. Andrew and Tyler were fantastic with our requests to capture photos at three different locations before the reception (and we managed to stay on schedule). One request that we had was to take sunset photos. Xcite was great about accommodating our request without dragging us away from mingling with our guests. Tyler was the one that went out with us for the sunset photos. We were so appreciative as he ventured out further and further with us to make sure that we got the perfect sunset photos (as we had set out a little later than planned). He got some stunning photos! We absolutely loved working with Andrew and the Xcite photography team! They bent over backwards for us to make sure that we had our wedding captured as we wanted. We received our photos back within one month of the wedding (and 2-4 weeks faster than originally promised). The photos turned out great, and serve as a wonderful memory from our special day! Andrew and his team (Kristen, Katy, and Matt) were amazing to work with and are wonderful people. Choosing a photographer and videographer for your wedding day is daunting. There can be a lot of options and price points that are grabbing for your attention. We are so glad we picked Xcite Photos and Films. Their work is the highest quality and their prices are very reasonable, I don't think they can be beat in that department. We were very happy with the photos and videos that they captured for us on our wedding day. We had our engagement photos at Cantigny Park with Kristen, our getting ready photos at Hotel Arista, and our ceremony and reception at Meson Sabika with Andrew, Katy, and Matt. Andrew and his team all had prior experience taking photos at all of these places. That experience was so valuable as it made the process so easy on our end. They knew where to go and coached us in the poses we would take for the photos. The process was efficient and fun! My wife and I are so awkward in front of a camera and do not consider ourselves photogenic yet Andrew and his team made us feel comfortable and did their magic in making the photos turn out so well. They are very relaxed, calm, patient, and accommodating in the midst of what is a very chaotic wedding day and meeting our expectations and staying on time. They even captured our Tea Ceremony during our wedding day and have done a lot of weddings with different customs and traditions. Their photobooth and props were also a huge hit at our wedding. They are great professionals.  The turn around time for our photos was extremely fast, within two weeks of our wedding. And our video came out in three weeks. That was greatly appreciated! When you hire Andrew, you know you are hiring someone who genuinely cares about you and your wedding day and capturing the best moments for you. For our wedding day specifically, it was raining/drizzling on and off all day. We planned to have our ceremony outdoors and it was not projected to rain come our ceremony time. But with the uncertain weather, our venue wanted to respect our request to have it outdoors but was hinting it would be best for it to be indoors for their staff which was understandable. Andrew nudged us to have it outdoors and wanted to honor our original vision for our wedding. We ended up having our ceremony outdoors and it turned out so beautiful and the pictures also turned out fantastic. A lifetime of thank you's from us to them. Andrew with Xcite Photography is an amazing photographer. You will not be disappointed! When we started planning the wedding, the photographer was one of my most stressful decisions. I generally hate how I look in all pictures, and I knew I would need to hire an incredible photographer to capture the beauty of the day in a way that I wouldn't hate. Even leading up to the wedding, I was filled with anxiety over how my wedding photos would turn out. I was afraid I would hate them. But I didn't need to worry - Andrew had it all under control! We chose the package that included engagement photos and a photobooth, and we were incredibly happy with our decision! Our engagement photos turned out fabulous and we were able to use them for our save the dates. Andrew is fun and he has a great personality that makes him enjoyable to work with. Oh my gosh; let me tell you about this company! Absolutely phenomenal work and service. Andrew and his guys carry themselves with such professionalism and poise. They have a number of packages to choose from and the awesome thing is that if you're leaning toward one package but don't want 1 or 2 things from it, Andrew will work with you to do some upgrades or substitutions to ensure that you're getting everything you want. I just can't say enough good things about them. I had all their personal information so I could text or call them if I needed to with questions and I always got prompt responses! Communication was so easy. Even after the fact, they extended information to reach out to them with any questions or concerns. That was pretty incredible. Andrew sat down with me, and the photographer that was assigned to me and my husband, sat down with me on multiple occasions (via FaceTime due to covid) to discuss all the photos I wanted and how I envisioned the day. We went over poses, timelines, style, candids, glam shots, everything and anything you could imagine. We went through the specific songs for the video montage and what exactly I wanted highlighted during it. So much detail and patience to fully understand and encompass our wishes as a couple and our expectations. I composed a 3-page list of photos and poses I wanted captured of the big day and all of my expectations were met, and then some! They were punctual for the day of and were so easy going whilst trying to follow the schedule set by our coordinator. Nothing phased them. They kept calm and collected and we got every picture we could've wanted; such great quality. They brought suitcases, literally suitcases, full of equipment to ensure that shot the best quality photos. I am completely blown away by Andrew and his team at Xcite photo. What originally attracted me to using Xcite, was their affordable and reasonable pricing for both photography & video! What I did not know was that I had a team of TWO extremely skilled photographers and a videographer. Andrew has been extremely helpful and professional throughout the whole process, via text messages and e-mail when I had questions on timeline, upgrades etc. The day of, his team was on time and ready to work. They were there until after 11:00pm until I finally told him he could head home! It was great that he was willing to stay to get footage up until the last song. He was so communicative and that is so important for a bride that has 100 details to plan! He even told me before he sent me some sneak peaks from the wedding. When I thought of sneak peaks, I thought maybe, 10-15 photos but no! His team edited and sent us 130 photos within the first two weeks of our wedding and they were BEAUTIFUL! I got my full photography right at the 5 week mark, which he let me know was coming through the day before, and I received over 1300 photos to choose from, all of which we love endlessly! I had mentioned to Andrew to please capture candid moments of our friends and family instead of just staged pictures and it truly looks like all of the pictures have raw emotion! I am blown away. I received my "montage" today, about a 3.5 minute video and I have cried and rewatched it about 10 times already. They really captured the most important moments and my full video is ready for pick up next week! I can't rave enough about Andrew and his team. We were referred to Andrew and team by our photographer who has worked with Andrew in the past. My husband and I didn't know much about wedding videography so we weren't quite sure what to expect. We had our initial consultation with Andrew and he talked us through different packages he offers. We decided on what we wanted and then fast forward to a week before the wedding. I received an email with a sheet to fill out just offering a little more detail about the day timeline and who everyone in our party was and just little details like that. I asked if we would be able to send over a shot list for Andrew to look through before our final meeting and they were happy to accommodate. Kristen was my main point of contact during this time and she was so sweet! On the day of the wedding, Andrew did a great job at directing us for the shots he needed and made sure to get the shots we wanted. We got a photobooth with our video package and everyone loved it! He brought a book for people to place a copy of their photo strips in so my husband and I were able to see all the photos taken. This was such a great touch that we didn't expect! When we got our video back, we were blown away! The video is absolutely beautiful. My in-laws said it was the best wedding they've seen! We were able to pick 2 songs for the highlight video. But that wasn't all. On top of the highlight video, he sent us raw footage so we get to have a copy of our vows, speeches, cake cutting, and everyone having a blast forever! His pricing is very clear with no hidden fees, and it's extremely reasonable for what you get. We chose the platinum package and got everything we needed and more. Drew checked in with us several times before our big day to make sure he had all the fine details in place, and had us fill out a must do/wish list to make sure everything was perfect. And it was! He even helped us pick out a perfect location for our outdoor shots, and captured some beautiful snow flurries which is what I really wanted. The moment I saw XcitePhoto at a bridal expo I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. The most important thing Andrew did was hear out our expectations and the things that mattered most to us whereas other photographers we met detailed what they thought were best first. After our first zoom meeting I knew I would be able to give all my trust to Andrew after hearing about his background and his team. Andrew is incredibly efficient and I heavily relied on him because the entirety of the wedding day was so overwhelming I could barely think for myself and make decisions. I didn't have to worry a thing about poses or spots to film/photograph. Add Dayana and Cris into the mix and you have the best trio. Cris just magically shows up when you need him, it's like he had telepathy and just captured beautiful and such fun video moments I'll cherish forever. Dayana is going to make sure you have THE photos. I'm grateful she pulled us into photos I never would have thought of otherwise and I would have really regretted missing out on if it wasn't for her. She also was never shy about reminding me placement of my bouquet and body position. This was so important because these are things you never realize until you see it when it's too late, she is your hype girl for real. I just got our gallery back from my October wedding and I am blown away! The quality of every single photo is fantastic. Andrew and the Xcite Photo team did an amazing job of capturing so many special moments throughout our big day. Andrew was the first of a few photographers I planned to meet with, but the second I walked into his office, I knew he was the one I was going to trust to capture our big day. I could tell from the samples around his office that his work was amazing and very unique. He was professional and very responsive throughout the planning process and made the big day a breeze as far as photos go. We don't live in Illinois so we didn't do an engagement shoot with him, but he was fantastic on the wedding day. He had great ideas and was also open to trying some of mine. The photo booth was a hit! It was so great seeing people have fun with the props and pictures. I was pleasantly surprised to find pictures of family and friends at the tables that I didn't know were taken and a few popped up in the gallery that I did not even remember. Andrew and his team was amazing, flexible, and creative from our engagement session to our wedding day. Starting with our engagement photo session in Naperville, we were able to go to several different spots in downtown to capture all different scenes. Andrew had so many different ideas of different poses and made us feel so comfortable. For our wedding day we were nervous having a venue that was at a hotel with not many places to take pictures according to us. That day came and Andrew and his team scoped out the hotel and found so many beautiful wall backgrounds for us to take pictures at. Also the team had created ideas for our bridal group pictures at many different spots showing a fun atmosphere to a sophisticated look. He worked with us before the wedding and made sure to get all the photo shots that we asked for. They were able to capture all the important moments that we wanted and we loved how he had taken our photos and added black/white and sepia tones into our photos. His team was patient, flexible, and great with getting photos and not even noticing they were there. Everyone at our wedding said how they were so personable and loved the outcome of all of our photos. We are so glad that we were able to book Andrew's team for our wedding on 08/25/18. We highly recommend them! They are amazing and offer prices that cannot be beat for the quality of service you will receive. The entire team is wonderful. The team promptly answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns. When we saw our engagement photos, we immediately knew this is the team we want with us on our wedding day. What can I say about Xcite except AMAZING!!! We booked Andrew for our wedding and could not be happier with that decision. He was super friendly, easy going, and very knowledgeable. He gave good, clear, easy to follow directions for posed shots which made shooting easy, fast and fun. He and his second shooter were a quiet presence throughout our day. They were unobtrusive, never getting in the way of guest or distracting to us. Andrew managed to captured us, our personalities, and our wedding in a really personal way. He captured a lot of fun, silly, and heartfelt moments throughout the day, I'm not even sure how he managed to get some of the shots he did. The pictures made us laugh, cry, and really are a wonderful representation of the joy of our wedding day. He also managed to get our posed shots to look natural and joyful as well. No forced smiles or awkward poses. Big bonus, we got our photos back in less than 3 weeks! The photobooth was a huge hit and so many people loved it. I liked that people could take very silly photos or take some less silly portrait style photos with it. We also loved the cartoon camera! Some of our absolute favorite pictures came from that. Our experience with xCite was excellent from beginning to end. First and most important, our pictures and video have turned out gorgeous. Our wedding day team of Kristen, Chris, and Matt were skilled both at staging beautiful shots and at capturing candid moments - so much so that it was actually a challenge to narrow our favorites down to 'only' 200 for our album. Kristen's management is smooth and efficient, which allowed us to get the shots that were important to us while keeping everything on schedule. The "social media cutdown" video that they produced truly looks like something out of a movie and was great to share with some of the distant family who weren't able to join us. In our planning phase, we were relieved to find xCite. We had intro conversations with a couple other photographers and found them expensive, obscure and impersonal. From our first meeting with Andrew, we appreciated that he seemed genuinely interested in capturing our personality and that his pricing was reasonable and transparent. xCite's packages are all in a straightforward grid, while we felt like others were hiding exclusions and add-ons. We ended up kind of upselling ourselves into adding videography which turned out to be a fantastic decision. As we look back on now on our video and pics, we'd give 6 stars if we could. read more

We hired Xcite Photo for our wedding in July 2017. The communication leading up to the big day was great, we felt in very good hands with our photographer. The day of proved just that. Phil was our photographer and we loved his artistic eye! He met first at the bride's house to do pictures of the bride and bridesmaids. He made it fun, had great ideas for us, and captured some amazing action shots! Following the ceremony, we chose to do our bridal party photos on-site at our venue, and he was amazing at keeping everyone's attention and coming up with great photos using the backdrop of the beautiful venue and surrounding areas. Throughout the rest of the night, he took so many photos that we didn't even know about until we saw them. He was all about making sure we got the pictures we wanted, but did a great job of blending in and snapping those action shots, too! It took about 7 weeks for editing of photos, but it was so worth the wait! The quality of the photos are amazing and we have sooo many beautiful photos to choose from!! On top of how pleased we are with everything, they are also very reasonably priced, compared to many others we looked at before selecting Xcite. Andrew has been so great to work with. I am an incredibly detailed person and photos are a passion of mine so I was especially into this part of the wedding planning process, and Andrew has answered every one of my million emails and been so accommodating, kind, and responsive...even weeks after my wedding. My husband and I got married in October 2020, so in the middle of this terrible pandemic, so we kept changing plans, locations, etc., but Andrew was always super flexible and cool going with the flow and putting us at ease. The first two edits on our video trailer didn't have all the footage we wanted, and I felt bad asking for them to be edited again, but Andrew made me feel really relaxed about it and was super understanding. The photographers (Phil and Chris) and videographers (Antonin) were great to work with on the day of our wedding. We told them candids were most important to us, and the candids are better than I hoped for. And we got all our footage back so fast, in under a month! Last thing I'll rave about is the price. Wow, so much value, time, variety for a great price. I looked around quite a bit before I booked with Xcite and no one had the packages Andrew offered for the price. Where does one even start!? Andrew and his team did an AMAZING job to make our special day so perfect!!! Our wedding took place on 1/19/19 in Burr Ridge, IL. We woke up in a wintery snow globe of at least 5 inches of snow!! Andrew and his team found a nice spot for our first look but I wanted to be adventurous and take our first look out in the snow. Andrew and his team dropped everything they had planned to make sure I got my dream first look. Andrew and his team captured so many great candid photos as they knew I didn't want too many "forced photos". They took my "photo shot list" and captured everything I wanted and MORE. They even went outside (for the 2nd time) to capture my friends and I "shot gunning" a beer. We had a photo booth at our wedding and used photo booth pictures as our "guest book". Our friends and family had so much fun! From engagement photos until the end of the reception, we received everything we wanted and more. I highly recommend Andrew and his team for many reasons. They offer so much, for a reasonable price and trust me when I say they make your wedding day everything you dreamed it would be.
