Fast…read moreforward to last week in January 2022 and I get a really bad, messed up haircut that's unbalanced and way shorter than I very clearly explained. I had shown this barber multiple pictures and tried to explain what it is that I wanted, he said it was complicated but due to his 25 years of experience he could definitely work with it. I leave happy until I washed my hair and realized how random parts of my head were cut shorter than others and how disproportionate it looks. I tried calling this location multiple times for days but they never answered. Their answering machine states that I can schedule appointments on their Instagram but they never answered there either. I had to look for the barbers Instagram page to reschedule with him so that he may fix it and he told me to come at 4PM on my day off. I live 20 minutes away and tell me why this man waits until 3:41, as I'm driving, to tell me that he is stuck in Hartford and that he can't make it. I am currently at the shop waiting to speak to someone about this because I'm honestly fed up with this place and can't believe it went so downhill. Save your money and go somewhere else.

But my haircut was far from the best, and it was supposed to just be a standard skin fade. I suspect this was an anomaly or maybe the one barber I ended up with here had less experience than others, but when I got home I realized there was a huge portion of my hair that had not been trimmed properly, and the transition from the fade to the longer hair on the top of my head was pretty awful. It stuck out no matter what I did because the hair was too short to stay put, but too long to blend in. I won't put the guy on blast here, but make sure you take a good long look in the mirror before you get out of the chair. They don't take card, you have to use the ATM. And my barber barely spoke english, which isn't a problem in most parts of life but it is when you're trying to explain what kind of style you're looking for. Basically it just makes good customer service a bit of a tougher task. I might go back, but I'll be looking for another barber other than the one I had this time.

He ended up shaving my head and with a laugh told me there would be no charge. I was getting a fresh cut because one of the folks working for me was retiring after 30 years - now I had to stand in front of them looking like I just got released from county. Tim shaves his head - should have been signal #1 and watches a second TV (different than waiting customers) while cutting - signal #2. What I didn't appreciate is he made a mistake first and then shaved my head - he never owned it and didn't give ME the choice of what to do. I won't be back - ever.
