So to add to my previous review....they sent me another arrangement yesterday. Not the roses my brother had paid for but a small floral arrangement. Today the leaves are drying out and falling off and the two roses in the bouquet are dead and drooping. I won't even bother calling as they obviously do not care about the quality of their products. read more

I am deeply saddened and disappointed by the service provided by this florist. My family ordered arrangements for my father's funeral, expecting beautiful, fresh flowers to honor his memory. Instead, the flowers delivered were wilted, drooping, and looked completely dead. To make matters worse, when we called the shop to address this terrible issue, the staff hung up on us instead of trying to help. A funeral is a solemn, once-in-a-lifetime event to say goodbye to a loved one, and there are no do-overs. Seeing sad, dying flowers at my father's service added unnecessary distress to our grieving family, and the hostile customer service was downright cruel. It showed a complete lack of quality control, respect, and basic professionalism. Do not trust this business. read more

My mom paid extra for same-day flower delivery, but the bouquet arrived two days late, damaged, and completely different from what she ordered. When I brought them back, the only replacement options offered were roses or a pre-wrapped bouquet -- not even close to the original arrangement. If a florist can't fulfill an order properly, they should cancel it or send it to someone who can. Based on other reviews, this seems to happen often. I don't understand how this place is still in business. read more

Xavier's Flower Shop - Wrong damaged flowers - Florists Near Me - Fall River, Massachusetts

This is a previous review I left on an older account. The owner said to call to resolve the issue. As of attempting to call for over a week, the phone is always busy, the mailbox is always full. I leave my number to have them call me back, but they never do. This is what I said: I also would give a 0 or less, if allowed to, on Google. I ordered a Christmas flower arrangement for my mother, consisting of white roses, red carnations, snow capped pine cones, and greenery in a beautiful red vase. Instead, what she got was a pinkish cactus in a clay pot. They are saying it is a Christmas cactus. I totally disagree with their assumption. At first, I was told that I would be getting 100% refund, if my mom left the cactus out and they would pick it up (according to FlowersKeepers.com). Then, they change the request to a 25% discount, or a 100% discount, if my 87 yr old mother drove over 20 miles away in each direction (from Attleboro to Fall River). Can you imagine the nerve of asking such a thing, when it was their error that they admitted to? I could not accept these terms of having my mother, who uses a walker and does not drive, to return the plant. I live over 800 miles away and could not possibly return the plant. This plant is not even a proper substitute, according to their "Substitution Policy". I will fight this tooth and nail, and rest assured that the BBB and Consumer Protection Agencies will be notified. I called Xavier and, I hate to sound like this, but I could not understand the woman. All, I could get out of it, was that I had to go to wherever I ordered the arrangement online. That is what I had done first. I have lots of emails detailing the change in their policy regarding my case. Xavier wanted no part in resolving this. I do not take being ripped off lightly. read more

This is the 3rd negative experience with Xavier's Florist in Fall River, Ma. and it's time to share the horrible experience with one of the folks working there. She was like a lil viper coming at me and taking no responsibility. The problem again and again is that the item ordered never comes close to the item delivered. I went to the shop to complain and as it turns out it's our fault, because we order online instead of going in to the shop, and by doing so we are reducing their earnings by 40%. I wish I could add the photo of what they sent. I will be contacting consumer affairs for Ma and have been in touch with 1 800 Flowers and gave them a detailed report of how miserable and disgraceful these folks are. read more

ordered flowers to be delivered for a birthday. At around 6-7pm received an email that the flowers were out for delivery, but they never arrived. Next morning received an email that they didn't have the right flowers to make the arrangement so could not deliver. So what was it? How can it be out for delivery if they didn't have the right flowers and couldnt deliver? Arrived late the next day, and disregarded very specific note about which door to deliver to. Also, during ordering they applied a free delivery coupon, but then charged $25 for service fee. bad communication, most likely lied, and hidden fees read more

never in my life have i been so disgusted i have never seen such dead disgusting flowers for $150 for an extra large bouquet... not only that 60 days ago they were supposed to bring flowers that they never did. they pocketed the money, they were supposed to do a resend and never did.... supposedly the flowers were then delivered from a bristol flower shop until i saw how dead they were never in my life. will i use these people, they knew they were dropping off flowers to someone who had a fresh cancer diagnosis and they still gave them the deadest flowers they had i have never been more disgusted at a service in my life. i could go to stop & shop for 899 and buy something 100 times better than these pictures. you ought to be ashamed of yourself you're disgusting and you're gonna know about it read more

Horrible. Ordered through 1800 flowers and paid for rush shipping. 1. Never got there. I call 1800 flowers. They said they send out an order right away of the XL bouquet I ordered. 2. Dec 25 -- Horrible flower shop. Im Canadian, ordered flowers for my Aunt who lives in Fall River Mass. The flowers were scheduled for Dec 22nd as I specifically wanted them there for Christmas Eve, it was to be displqyed during Christmas Eve dinner. While wishing my Aunt a 'Merry Christmas' on Christmas Day, I was informed by my Aunt that it wasn't received it ( it was suppose to be there 2 days prior). When I reached out to them I barely received an apology and was told that it would be delivered that day... -- what was the point ? Horrible!! Will NEVER order from them again. Ordered flowers for a birthday via Teleflora and usually they give you the option to select the florist for the arrangement, but this time it didn't. I've read numerous bad reviews about this florist so was hoping my arrangement would be from a different local florist but this is where the flowers ended up coming from. I was away when they were delivered but was sent a pic of what was received. I understand depending on flower availability, they may vary slightly but what was received didn't look anything remotely close at all. I paid for the "premium" assortment and what was received, my 10 year old niece could've put together a better arrangement. I ordered an arrangement of pink flowers, what was received was mainly all white with dull pink flowers. Neve using Teleflora again if they don't screen these floral shops first - the place has been getting bad reviews for years yet they're still being used. It's unacceptable. read more

I ordered flowers from 1800Flowers not knowing they send the flower orders out to bid to all the local florists. I ordered the flowers from out of state. When I attended the wake and funeral I was able to see my order. The order came from Xavier's Flower Shop. What an awful arrangement. Half the flowers were delivered dead. There was no bow at all. Had I not been there to see them I would have never known. The arrangement I spent $175 on was more of a $50 clearance basket. read more

1 Star - HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED AND DISGUSTED I am beyond disappointed with Xavier Florist. My husband placed an order specifically to be delivered to my job before 2pm, as I was leaving work at that time and no one would be there afterward to receive it. When he placed the order, he was assured it would arrive on time. At 1pm -- just one hour before the deadline -- I get a call saying they wouldn't be able to deliver by 2pm. They then asked if I had another address where they could deliver, and I provided my home address, which is only two streets away from the original delivery location. Guess what? The flowers never arrived. Not at work. Not at home. Now I'm left chasing a refund that should have been issued without question. It's like pulling teeth just trying to get them to make this right. The entire point of this delivery was to surprise me on my anniversary. Instead, it caused nothing but stress, disappointment, and frustration. They failed to meet their own delivery guarantee, didn't deliver to the alternative address either, and are now dragging their feet on issuing a refund. Do yourself a favor -- read the reviews and believe them. I wish we had. Save your time, your money, and your sanity. Stay far, far away from Xavier Florist. read more

This flower shop is sub par and I would not recommend to anyone. A friend sent me flowers and paid over $100 for a centerpiece arrangement and I was delivered a $30 bouquet that was half dead. I complained to the company that outsourced to them (Ava's Flowers...do not order from them either) and I was sent a smaller bouquet with fall colors after Christmas. Hardly what was ordered and paid for by my friend. It is such a shame. This is why people don't want to use local shops and why they are closing. Don't steal from your customers. It's just bad business. When I called them I was told it was not their problem, as the bouquet was just outsourced to them. Also a very bad business decision. read more

I received a beautiful cut flower bouquet two weeks ago and it is still beautiful! Friendly and prompt service.

I paid over $100 for a bouquet. They delivered it multiple days earlier than I asked for, and it was a completely different flower arrangement than I asked for. They substituted with significantly cheaper, already dying flowers, and did not honor that I paid for an upgrade to make the arrangement even bigger. The flowers literally look like a child picked them in their backyard and arranged them. Would give 0/5 stars if I could. How is this place even in business? read more

Wow... here's another bad review. I ordered flowers to be delivered to my mother for her birthday. The online company (from you flowers.com) used Xaviers. I received a delivery from Xavier's this week on the 8th following a surgery. They had been ordered for the 7th and never arrived. I didn't want my cousin to know they weren't nice but I sent her a photo and thanked her. She was shocked at how small the arrangement was because she had paid $125 for the flowers through a company named Ruth's Roses (that claimed to be in Portsmouth, RI but was nowhere near here) and someone somewhere is making some big $$ This arrangement was worth $35 AT BEST! A small 6" tall vase with a 3" opening and nothing but mums and a short stem of lilies were in the vase. DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST!! read more

My daughter from CA sent my wife an arrangement for Mother's Day from Xavier's. The delivery driver parked in our driveway, away from the front door, then placed the flowers on the ground near the front door, rang the doorbell and walked away. We watched it unfold on the security cameras from inside the house and then immediately went out to find a flower arrangement that included two pink roses that were already brown and curling around the edges. The other flowers were better, but the arrangement looked like it was prepared from flowers that had passed their peak and won't last very long. We didn't call Xavier's because when we looked them up to call them, their Yelp page appeared, and they have an average of 1.5 out-of-5 stars, so they must already know they are not very good and we are going to focus our energy on the people my daughter called to purchase the flowers, who in-turn hired Xavier's. Obviously, we do not recommend them. Update: My daughter paid an extra premium $ amount for extra roses, they sent less than the minimum for the standard bouquet and they also delivered them two days ahead of the contracted and paid-for delivery date. read more

I ordered a cremation surround through 1-800- flowers that this shop was supposed to fulfil for my Mothers service. I received a notification that it had been delivered. Do not use this florist. The company my husband works for ordered an $80.00 Peace lily from Xavier's. The plant was left out on my porch on the coldest day of the year. The plant was dead when I arrived home. I called Xavier's and spoke with Larry. He was rude and actually told me "now I have to replace another plant!" Larry then told me a new plant would be delivered on Sunday between 9-1. In order to avoid another frozen plant, I stayed home ... no plant! I called Xavier's at 2, spoke with Wendy who preceded to tell me how they are doing the best they can and my plant was now out for delivery. I was never offered condolences or apologies. Do NOT use this florist. Dead flowers, poor customer service and totally disregard for a family going through a death in the family. My daughter sent me a large bouquet for Mother's Day 2023. It was left on the doorstep and we brought it into the house within 5 minutes- we have a ring doorbell so we know exact times. It was a large bouquet with an attractive mix of flowers and colors but the flowers were already dying. The edges of the petals on all of the roses were dry and brown and the hydrangeas were wilted.
