This is a previous review I left on an older account. The owner said to call to resolve the issue. As of attempting to call for over a week, the phone is always busy, the mailbox is always full. I leave my number to have them call me back, but they never do. This is what I said: I also would give a 0 or less, if allowed to, on Google. I ordered a Christmas flower arrangement for my mother, consisting of white roses, red carnations, snow capped pine cones, and greenery in a beautiful red vase. Instead, what she got was a pinkish cactus in a clay pot. They are saying it is a Christmas cactus. I totally disagree with their assumption. At first, I was told that I would be getting 100% refund, if my mom left the cactus out and they would pick it up (according to FlowersKeepers.com). Then, they change the request to a 25% discount, or a 100% discount, if my 87 yr old mother drove over 20 miles away in each direction (from Attleboro to Fall River). Can you imagine the nerve of asking such a thing, when it was their error that they admitted to? I could not accept these terms of having my mother, who uses a walker and does not drive, to return the plant. I live over 800 miles away and could not possibly return the plant. This plant is not even a proper substitute, according to their "Substitution Policy". I will fight this tooth and nail, and rest assured that the BBB and Consumer Protection Agencies will be notified. I called Xavier and, I hate to sound like this, but I could not understand the woman. All, I could get out of it, was that I had to go to wherever I ordered the arrangement online. My mom paid extra for same-day flower delivery, but the bouquet arrived two days late, damaged, and completely different from what she ordered. When I brought them back, the only replacement options offered were roses or a pre-wrapped bouquet -- not even close to the original arrangement. This is the 3rd negative experience with Xavier's Florist in Fall River, Ma. and it's time to share the horrible experience with one of the folks working there. She was like a lil viper coming at me and taking no responsibility. The problem again and again is that the item ordered never comes close to the item delivered. I went to the shop to complain and as it turns out it's our fault, because we order online instead of going in to the shop, and by doing so we are reducing their earnings by 40%. Ordered flowers for a birthday via Teleflora and usually they give you the option to select the florist for the arrangement, but this time it didn't. I've read numerous bad reviews about this florist so was hoping my arrangement would be from a different local florist but this is where the flowers ended up coming from. I was away when they were delivered but was sent a pic of what was received. I understand depending on flower availability, they may vary slightly but what was received didn't look anything remotely close at all. I paid for the "premium" assortment and what was received, my 10 year old niece could've put together a better arrangement. 1 Star - HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED AND DISGUSTED I am beyond disappointed with Xavier Florist. My husband placed an order specifically to be delivered to my job before 2pm, as I was leaving work at that time and no one would be there afterward to receive it. When he placed the order, he was assured it would arrive on time. At 1pm -- just one hour before the deadline -- I get a call saying they wouldn't be able to deliver by 2pm. They then asked if I had another address where they could deliver, and I provided my home address, which is only two streets away from the original delivery location. Guess what? The flowers never arrived. Not at work. Not at home. Now I'm left chasing a refund that should have been issued without question. It's like pulling teeth just trying to get them to make this right. The entire point of this delivery was to surprise me on my anniversary. Instead, it caused nothing but stress, disappointment, and frustration. They failed to meet their own delivery guarantee, didn't deliver to the alternative address either, and are now dragging their feet on issuing a refund. This flower shop is sub par and I would not recommend to anyone. A friend sent me flowers and paid over $100 for a centerpiece arrangement and I was delivered a $30 bouquet that was half dead. I complained to the company that outsourced to them (Ava's Flowers...do not order from them either) and I was sent a smaller bouquet with fall colors after Christmas. Hardly what was ordered and paid for by my friend. It is such a shame. This is why people don't want to use local shops and why they are closing. Don't steal from your customers. I ordered a cremation surround through 1-800- flowers that this shop was supposed to fulfil for my Mothers service. I received a notification that it had been delivered. The flowers never arrived at the funeral home. After finding out Xavier's was to fill the order and telling our funeral director. The director told me that is who he thought it was. I received a delivery from Xavier's this week on the 8th following a surgery. They had been ordered for the 7th and never arrived. I didn't want my cousin to know they weren't nice but I sent her a photo and thanked her. She was shocked at how small the arrangement was because she had paid $125 for the flowers through a company named Ruth's Roses (that claimed to be in Portsmouth, RI but was nowhere near here) and someone somewhere is making some big $$ This arrangement was worth $35 AT BEST! My daughter from CA sent my wife an arrangement for Mother's Day from Xavier's. The delivery driver parked in our driveway, away from the front door, then placed the flowers on the ground near the front door, rang the doorbell and walked away. We watched it unfold on the security cameras from inside the house and then immediately went out to find a flower arrangement that included two pink roses that were already brown and curling around the edges. The other flowers were better, but the arrangement looked like it was prepared from flowers that had passed their peak and won't last very long. We didn't call Xavier's because when we looked them up to call them, their Yelp page appeared, and they have an average of 1.5 out-of-5 stars, so they must already know they are not very good and we are going to focus our energy on the people my daughter called to purchase the flowers, who in-turn hired Xavier's. Obviously, we do not recommend them. Update: My daughter paid an extra premium $ amount for extra roses, they sent less than the minimum for the standard bouquet and they also delivered them two days ahead of the contracted and paid-for delivery date. read more

Do not use this florist. The company my husband works for ordered an $80.00 Peace lily from Xavier's. The plant was left out on my porch on the coldest day of the year. The plant was dead when I arrived home. I called Xavier's and spoke with Larry. He was rude and actually told me "now I have to replace another plant!" Larry then told me a new plant would be delivered on Sunday between 9-1. In order to avoid another frozen plant, I stayed home ... no plant! I called Xavier's at 2, spoke with Wendy who preceded to tell me how they are doing the best they can and my plant was now out for delivery. I was never offered condolences or apologies. It was a large bouquet with an attractive mix of flowers and colors but the flowers were already dying. The edges of the petals on all of the roses were dry and brown and the hydrangeas were wilted.
