Enjoyable show that it suitable for younger people and people that would be easily offended by the adult jokes that are more prevalent in so many shows in Vegas. This is definitely a general audience show without it being too toned down that it turns into a strictly children's show. I will say that at it's current location at the Strat, I'd suggest buying seats that are further away from the stage if you don't want the tricks spoiled for you. My husband and I were seated next to the stage (stage left) and unfortunately could see how many of the tricks were done because of how close our seats were to the performance. (Ex: one of the fabric backdrops has a secret opening that up close, is visibly more dirty than the rest of the backdrop.) On the flip side, if you want to see how the tricks are done, get the VIP seats next to the stage. I won't spoil it by explaining which tricks get spoiled, but you'll see at least 4-5. My husband and I still had a good time but I think I'd enjoy it more if the tricks were still a mystery. read more

Such a great show! My husband and I are on a mission to see a magician each month- absolutely did not disappoint. Part magic, part silent storytelling, it had hints of his Cirque background with his mind blowing tricks. So many times I asked my husband "what did we just see", lol. I recommend a VIP seat- it's better up close. The only downside (and this had nothing to do with the show)- hope you're not in the theater with the guest that wants to make the show about him. The show got derailed a bit by a guy who wanted to make the most of his chance on stage- and proceeded to yell at every chance he could. Super distracting as a patron, but Xavier and the rest of the performers handled it professionally and with grace. Great for all ages, lots of audience participation- an absolute treat. read more

It was an amazing show with mind blowing magic tricks. One of our friends continued saying "How did he do that??" even after the show was done. I love how there is crowd interactions, asking people questions, and even bringing up people on stage! Belle is talented and hilarious! I found the show to be entertaining, but it wasn't what I had expected. I had never heard of Xavier Mortimer before, but his little opening movie that showed his internet stunts helped me gain some familiarity with him. Beyond that, the show itself confused me a little. Is it family-friendly or is it for adults? These stunts. Is he a magician or is he a street performer. Pre-recorded video art is just not the "magic" I expected. I'm sure I would have enjoyed it as a parent bringing their kids, but alas, I'm not. I do recommend the show for families, but not adults looking to throw a few back and be amazed. I got lucky enough to win tickets (Thank you YelpLV) to Xavier Mortimer's 1000th show and let me tell you, it was amazing. The theater is situated on the second floor of Bally's Casino. I brought my son with me to the show and as we made our way up the escalator, we were greeted by someone working with the show. She helped us figure out where we could find our tickets and how the show worked. Once the doors opened we were told to go to first three rows, we had the VIP tickets. My son and I found seats in the third row near the middle, there really isn't a bad seat in the room. Xavier started the show and shortly introduced his assistant, Bella. The acts were funny, cute, extra and interesting. Bella has such a fun personality, she really had my son laughing. Xavier is awesome, his magic really pulled me in and had me scratching my head in wonder. The two of them together were so much fun but during the single acts, so cool. This is definitely a show that needs to be seen. I had fun watching and am so glad to have gone. read more

This was my first magic show on the strip, and I had so much fun! We had VIP tickets, which gave us early access to pick our seats in the venue. The theater is very intimate, and we had seats right up front. For drinks, I ordered the Curtain Call, which was delicious. I loved the "dream" theme of the show, and the personalities of Xavier and Belle. Both were extremely talented. I wish I could have seen a little more of Belle. Her personality was contagious! I was chosen as a volunteer for the lottery ticket, which left me stunned. Throughout the night, I was amazed at many of the illusions, which kept me asking "What!? How!?" This is a family friendly fun magic show located in Bally's. The theater it's in is very cozy but there are two (?) large pillars in the middle of the room which is odd. Also the chairs are not theater seats but more like bar chairs with backing. Xavier and his assistant were very cheerful throughout the entire show. I thought it was overall very wholesome. It's good if you want something lighter than, say a headliner or a Cirque show. It's much more chill. There is a lot of fun upbeat music throughout the show. I was seated in the second row 10 feet away from the performers and was blown away by the Levitation with body swapping between he and his assistant and scores of other amazing feats accomplished so close by you'd think you could spot how the trick was done, but I couldn't. I was excited to be able to attend the Xavier Mortimer Magical Dream show as a Yelp Elite 2020 member, and of course this being my first ever magic show. I brought hubby and we made it a date night along with a nice dinner nearby before the show. After getting my tickets from the box office, we were greeted at the top of the second floor escalator to Bally's Magic Attic Theater, by a personable and helpful Bally's staff member who got us into the right line (VIP). I was considering getting a beverage while we waited but when I saw the pricing, I decided against it. A little too steep for my taste. Theater opened for us and we were given the option to sit in the front row. Instead we chose to sit in the third row aisle seat. I whispered to my husband that I didn't want to be singled out from the crowd during the show, he was ok with my seating choice (and rationale). I liked how "cozy" the place felt and how close even row 3 really was to the stage. When I saw a mom with three young children (3-6 year olds I'd guess) sit in that front row that we were offered, I thought oh geez, little sheep might get to "participate " in the show. Prior to the show starting, there was a mime character floating among the guests, doing goofy and amusing antics and taking care to not scare any of the numerous children that were in the audience. He really made it lively and set the tone of FUN. The show started in a creative way and we were soon met by the magician himself, Xavier Mortimer. I found his personality immediately likeable and I appreciated his showmanship. His assistant (Belle) was introduced and I liked her spunky little attitude and how well she complimented Xaviers act. Her comedic talents and her impressive and lithe athleticism really helped make the entire show a STORY as she was not just a pretty faced assistant who just stands there. She was an integral part of the Xaviers Dream. Xaviers magic was stunning and left me many times saying out loud " no way!!". He weaved so many seemingly impossible magic acts (these were not just parlor "tricks") into the storyline that it was getting hard to keep up with them all. I completely enjoyed being transported away from the real world and strung along the illusion that he weaved for us. At the conclusion of the show, my face was hurting from smiling so much. This show is perfect for families and ALL ages can be equally mesmerized by Xaviers storytelling and magical talents. I am glad that he now has his own headlining show here in Vegas, I truly hope that his career skyrockets. If anyone reading this Yelp review is wondering if they should see this show, I give my 5-star recommendation and say "Do it!". read more

The many things that he does in his show that are just changing the face of magic the use of magic is very nice . The show that got my attention it was changing and the many close up and the use of bouncing and the many close up and the Grand Illusions can be Described as the most remarkable . Many magicians that get to know the audience is usually to help them on stage and maybe to help with costume tricks that can be very trickey yet Xavier's show was just Incredible . The many Illusions that he had performed was a silent mind reading illusion that was just by using a bouncing ball that was thrown out into the audience the most enjoyable show the comedy of the show was excellant that many other magicians can be so serious .Xavier Mortimer are the shows of a new wave kind of magic that has the mind of ever changing Illusions and the many that keep you guessing because when you have an Illusion where the magician appears from a balloon that is something that is keep people guessing . I feel a bit bad for the performers (since they both seem like such nice people) giving it only 3 stars but in comparison to the other shows in Vegas this felt more amateur than a professional Vegas show. To be honest, the show is worth 2 stars but I gave an extra star because the performers seem so nice. The Best of Show awards confused me but I guess it can be like how many buffets in Vegas claim to be "the best". Also, this show should be considered a Variety Show. NOT a Magic show. If you want a great magic show go see Mat Franco or Penn & Teller. Some of the best parts of the show were the Variety acts in the show like the yo-yo type performance and the acrobatics of Belle. If you do end up going to this show here is the location of the Magic Attic theater since I had a hard time finding it: Enter from Bally's Main Entrance off the Strip, then make a right immediately after walking in and walk past the place selling poker chips & Nosh restaurant and you'll see a set of escalators: take the escalators up and there is the theater. There are 2 lines for seating: General Admission to the right and VIP to the left (both line up first come first seated = there are no assigned seats). Red chairs in the front are VIP and black chairs in the back are General Admission: you just pick any available seat. You'll be fine with general admission since it's a small theater. But if you do pay up(Get the Groupon: this show isn't worth full price!) for VIP seating do NOT sit in the front row like I did because you can literally see all of his 'tricks' and you can see him doing the 'magic' and for a magic show is really spoils it being able to see the clear string and inside the newspaper and his shirt & jacket where he hides stuff, etc. I totally regretted sitting in the front row because only 2 of his tricks entertained me because they were the only 2 out of the whole show that I didn't know how he did them. Also the music is so loud it's deafening! Normally the front row is good but not for this show! Also beware that even though it is marketed to kids (since it's a cute kind of goofy show) there are some romantic themes. Also there's a bar right when you walk into the show and some people were getting so drunk it was a bit inconsiderate. I went with my Dad and he thought it might be inappropriate for younger kids (like my little kids who I did not bring) too. The boy sitting to the other side of me seemed about 10 years old and he was fine although even he didn't seem too entertained. Overall, it sadly was a waste of our night out in Vegas and I regretted we didn't see a different show. Too bad since both of the performers seem so nice. read more

I'm going to be the odd one out here but this is my experience. Our family, including 2 teens went to the evening show today. Overall it was entertaining but not very polished. Lots of fluff to fill time, some really cringy skits, a few clearly visible "magic" tricks, and 3-4 really good ones. If the team could just build around those great tricks, find a few more, and tweak the story line it would be a step in the right direction. Don't let this review stop you from going, I thought it was worth the price but could be improved. The assistant went overboard with her fake attraction to the old guy in the audience. It was comical the first time around and then awkward after the 3rd and 4th time. The overall theme of the magician's dream came off more of a starker obsessed with the assistant and creepy. Again, awkward and I'm not sure this was the effect they were going for. The show is very degrading to the assistant IMO. The long bathtub skit should be scrapped all together. It's bad. Also the mirror giving her a drink in the tub should be taken out. In regards to seating....if I recall correctly there are only 7-8 rows. So really no need to pay extra for VIP tickets. We did General Admission, spent around $150 for 4 and sat in the 7th row and could see perfectly. Seating starts about 10/15 minutes before showtime and VIP are seated first but no benefit that I noticed other than that. read more

Been following Xavier for a while on social media and i watched lots of his videos, me and my wife decided to get tickets for the show and it was absolutely worth it, lots of fun and the acts were great. We day in he back row and the only reason my daughter couldn't see was because she was sitting right behind an adult, it they gave her a booster and you can move the seat over so your view is in between people. Where do I even start with my review. I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the show tonight. I brought my godparents and my nephew and niece and all five of us were extremely entertained. I don't want to give away much about the show. Other than if you go it'll be worth every cent you paid. This is our second time seeing the show and we will be back over and over again. The show is so charming. And exciting. For every member of my family. My godparents are older than me I am in my 40s and my nephew and niece 11 and 12. All of us had such an exceptional time. My little niece was so excited to meet bell she could barely contain herself. Belle is the hard to get love of Xavier in the show. There was audience interaction which is pretty fun. Also incredibly amazing magic tricks. Xavier really left you wondering how did he do that? We got popcorn and drinks which was really nice. So the concession stand is stocked full of all kinds of treats to enjoy while you watch the show. I can really say this show is for the entire family. And you will not regret going. Like every review here states it's a lot of fun and unexpectedly wonderful. Xavier and Belle take pictures after the show which was complementary that was so awesome. Originally, my friend was going to join me in Vegas, but he had to change his plans. I had already bought two tickets to the show. I called my comadre and offered her and her husband the tickets. She countered with buying additional tickets, so that we could take her kids, too. (She's a smart one, that Vero!) I got the extra tickets. This venue is tricky to find. Got to watch some of the televised poker action, while waiting in line. Small groups are seated together. The theater itself is pretty small, but I only saw one or two seats with really bad sightlines. The music in the show is upbeat and fun. It adds to the energy, not that Mortimer needs more energy. He is a bundle of joy and kinetic motion, the entire time. He strives to incorporate audience participation into the act. I loved the combination of visual effects, both digital and real life. It was seamless. It is obvious that Mortimer spends hours perfecting his craft. I loved that this isn't just trick 1, trick 2, small banter, trick 3, etc. There is a story to each trick and it all follows a thread. The assistant is cute and fun. I found myself, multiple times, trying to figure out how some of the illusions were accomplished. Some of them, I just bought wholesale and went with the flow. After the show, Mortimer stayed out front to thank folks for coming. There was a step and repeat. He was happy to pose for pictures and sign autographs. I took a picture with my godsons. I thanked him for the energy and expertise that he shared with us. He was gracious and had a huge smile on his face. This guy is a true talent. I'd happily go back, to see him again! read more

Very funny magic show! Xavier controlled the atmosphere very well. I have laughing very hard many time in this show. He worked very hard to make sure the audiences is entertaining in his show, and he is doing very well. The Xavier Mortimer's Magical Dream showroom is very hard to found. It is inside the casino, and have to go up one more floor by the escalator! Planet Hollywood has four showrooms. Three of the showrooms is inside the shopping area, but this one is very hard to found and inside the casino! This showroom is very small. So all the seats is good seat. You don't have to pay more money for the VIP section. It is not much different! Also the showroom doesn't signed seats. They have two lines in front of the entrance. The one on the left is VIP line, and the one on the right is the general admission line. The VIP line get in first, than the general admission. The bad thing is you will have to line up as soon as possible, usually 30 mins early! The showroom is first come first in! Also I cannot found a restroom outside of the Xavier Mortimer's Magical Dream showroom. I have to go down to the casino for the restroom! So much inconvenience! The show itself is very enjoyable.
