Easy to get around, easy to get to know school mates. But if you're not a complete home body, I'm sure it could get old real quick. All the students we encountered were great. Friendly, helpful, engaging. We were in contact with the admission counselor prior to our visit. He made it a point to reach out personally since he is from our home town. He also came in during his time off to meet with us IRL. Gave us great advice/info. We knew right away this wouldn't be the right fit. All that to say, still everything is really nice. We did catch quite a bit of groups there for photos. Amazing scenery makes it quite popular for the gram I guess.

Despite having strong recommendations, relevant experience, and a clear academic record, I encountered a process defined by bureaucratic opacity and inconsistent communication. When I attempted to clarify basic questions about my file including documentation that staff indicated would be placed in my record I was met with defensiveness, stonewalling, and vague assertions that my inquiries themselves were inappropriate. Escalating to leadership did not improve transparency. In fact, the further up the hierarchy I went, the more I encountered condescension masked as professionalism. The admissions process felt less like a fair evaluation and more like a gatekeeping exercise to test whether I would simply defer to inconsistent procedures without question. Ironically, this was exactly the sort of inequitable system the field of social work teaches practitioners to challenge. In the end, I was not offered admission. If you value clear communication, mutual respect, and a student-centered process, I encourage you to look elsewhere. There are many CSWE-accredited programs that take their stated mission seriously and treat prospective students with basic dignity.

Completely ghosted me and left me in the dark. Lied about how much I would be getting paid after getting certified, blindsided me in every, single way. I entered this school with the idea that I would have a stable healthcare career, and that they would help me in every step of the way. None of that happened, not only did they completely ghost after multiple attempts with their career services, I am still stuck with a large loan as I had to pull out a private loan. (After they once again, LIED about much it would cost to take a "career guidance" class.) Instructors didn't care at all, never bothered to help you with anything. From my graduating class, nearly 80% of these people never got a job as a Medical Assistant. (I am NOT exaggerating either - Many of my classmates regret going here.) DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL. The administration of Delta college is a bloated bureaucratic nightmare where the left hand has no clue what the right hand is doing. The admissions/ records office and especially the FA office is filled with rude, lazy staff that resort to their NPC response of "Oh we don't do that here". This is my first semester and already I've faced the potential of having to drop out do to zero support from the financial aid department. I've done everything required of me but getting them to lift a finger to take care of stuff on their end is like pulling teeth. I wondered if it was just me experiencing these issues but seeing their Yelp page confirms that its a systemic problem. Very disheartening. I write this review knowing nobody at the school in a position to make changes will read it so instead I write this as a warning to current and potential students. My best advice to potential students is document every correspondence with school employees, CC the director of the respective department you are contacting and follow up every few days.

The instructor is really nice and I can tell that she is very passionate about her job. The place is nice, safe, and very convenient. It is located at Filipino plaza, and it's close to many local businesses, such as banks, restaurants, cinema, police station, gray hound station, etc. The staffs at the clinical site, Whispering Hope Care Center, were all very kind and helpful. With in that 22 days of both theory and clinical, I have learned so much about the course and how to become an effective and reliable nursing assistant. Would I recommend this school? YES! If you are unfortunate enough to attend the law school, Wendy and the Dean will do absolutely nothing to ensure units are recorded correctly. Certification for the bar may or may not happen. Because they have a long history of failing to certify graduates for the bar, as a graduate you could spend tremendous amounts of money and time to prepare for the bar exam and be left in the cold. Not to mention their nonexistent confidentiality.

Textbook not included (I have a physical MA Textbook available for sale for this class, if anyone wants to buy it off of me lmao! Not kidding either!) Navy Blue scrubs only is the uniform color you'll need for the class. My instructor was Ms Nina, although we were able to meet and be taught by the then, CalRegional Manager but now Instructor again, Melony for our class for a few days. Melony is a great instructor for the few days we had her. She taught us a lot. She is also very approachable and it was easy to get ahold of her. She was always responsive when I needed to get in contact with her towards the end of my class when she was placing me for my Externship. I was actually very lucky to be apart of the last of her students she placed for Externship before she stepped down as manager and became an Instructor again. Now Kathi is the current CalRegional manager. Let's get back to my class, as I said my Instructor was Ms Nina and I can't say enough good about her. She is the best! She's honest and open, her teaching methods are very hands on. She's funny as hell and super relatable too! She gave us a lot of insight on what to expect in the real world and couldn't stress safety enough! Our class was small, but made the learning experience all the more better. She taught us all so well and really made the time to help each one of us to be successful and absorb and understand what she was teaching us. Healthcare and the world in general need more people like Ms Nina! Thanks to her, I scored so well on my AMCA Exam and feel more confident than ever in my ability to be an amazing CMA. Note for future students: get all your prerequisites in by the first week! (Except for the drug test obviously, but at least pay for it and upload your receipt) Don't wait until midterm. Get it done by the first or second week. That way when it comes time for Kathi to place you at your externship, you can get placed sooner rather than later. I did all my pre reqs by the first week and got my externship start date for 3 days after my last day of class. If you wait til last minute to upload all your pre reqs and you'll end up being placed at externship later, because CalRegional technically has up to 60 days to place you. Also, pay your tuition in full so that way once you finish your externship and email your booklet to CalRegional you can immediately get your Certificate! If not, you don't receive it until you're paid in full.

First time I've been to a library that requires you to check in with the police department. I had…read moreto get back in my car drive a few blocks away to the police department which was only labeled by the police cars in the lot. For the new welcoming place for all parking permits it's remarkably unlabeled and not easy to find. Don't go to the main doors of the building go down to what seems to be a lower level area to find the police department. Also write down your license plate number yo save yourself a trip back to your car. I love that everyone just kept saying sorry new rules. Library visits require a visit to the police station. Someone call the firemen.

So I decided to create a page for the library so I can check in HAHA!…read more But really though, this is my home away from home. Since freshman year I have been in here on the regular. It has been a place full of extreme joy, hanging out with friends and just socializing when I should be doing work and a place of great worry and distress come exam time. What is nice about this library is that there is a multitude of different areas that have different atmospheres that may or may not be conducive to studying. Pretty much on the first floor you got the computer lab area, with tons of available computers to do work on. My only experience with these is when I was taking Statistics and had to do "math lab" crap or for Comp 25 and had to make my own website. You can access your files easily enough but what always pissed me off is that I could never install software like dropbox or other useful programs like that. Be cautious, it can get loud over here. Another area, I affectionately call, the "Stinky Room" is located upstairs on the SW corner. I don't what is up with it, but for reals it smells like doodoo 24/7. I think they may have finally gotten it fixed but I remember having to cover my nose walking by that area. It has some nice cubicles if you get distracted from people walking by. All of them are etched up by the frats and misc people. I try to avoid this area unless necessary cause its right next to some bathrooms and the stench can leak out... My office, aka home away from home, is the tables on the second floor along the south wall. It features 6, count em, 6 long tables, easily accommodating 4 people each with power jacks and ethernet connections for everyone! With the big windows nearby it isn't as depressing being inside cause you can see all of nature outside the window, especially when you are spending 10+ hours since I'm in the pharmacy program. It can get loud over here but this is 1st come spot cause this is where all my friends are at. If you need a place to discuss something or do some tutoring I would recommend the downstairs tables right near the entrance. This is an area dedicated to talking. Now there is a lounge on the second floor with some comfy chairs and tables and it is good for some light discussions or group projects but more frequently it is infested with a certain loud-ass group of people *ahem* that got nothing to study and just chat it up, ruining everyone's concentration. Be mindful of other people if you decide to sit here. There are also study rooms that can be reserved in blocks of 2 hours. Just a note about these, they may be closed off with a glass wall, but we hear you in there... every word. These rooms are not sound proof, so if you plan on gossiping about something, it won't be a secret for much longer. That's all I can think of this place. There is a lot more I can write but if you go to the school you pick up on these things. For reals though, when I go off on rotations and eventually graduate, I am going to miss this place in an odd way. I have had weeks in which I have logged in 70 hours in a 7 day period, done all-nighters when open 24 hours, made many cool friends and sparked a few love interests. Club L (trademarked by me) is where it is at!

Worst service. Ever…read more I applied for the vocational nursing program. I took the tests, got high scores & was ready for the rest of the application process. My admissions' coordinator was rude, demeaning, catty. I understand she's trying to get her commission but she could have acted like she cared that I was trying to make a life's decision. I felt rushed. They were not organized. I was told to call different people, and when I did I had to repeat myself so many times with the same information. (Aren't these people in the same freakin' office?) My financial aid adviser wasn't as bad but she did forget my appointment time twice & forgot to take certain forms from me with crucial information. I was talked to like I was an idiot by my admissions' adviser many times. She asked me questions that I shouldn't have to disclose. Frankly, her job was to help me with my application process, to make me feel comfortable with my decision, to let me know that the school was right for me. Instead, I felt belittled, rushed, & unwelcome. I am turning in my Notice of Cancellation this afternoon, and attending a school with a nursing program that has actually been accredited for years... unlike Kaplan.
