I got my first tattoo at Xanadu several years ago. Eric did it. I haven't posted this review because I wanted to forget the entire experience, but even years later, it makes me so upset I hope I can save someone from making the same mistake. In short, he misunderstood something I said and was offended, thinking I was making fun of him. I explained over and over that I was not, but he was obviously upset. I should have walked away, but I NEVER thought he would physically take it out on me while doing my tattoo.
My husband and I both had tattoos done that day. His went fine, although his is now fading. Mine, on the other hand did not. Part of my tattoo is thicker and he pressed so hard over and over, it was like he was punishing me. I remember thinking,"is he trying to hurt me?", but kept my mouth shut. I had to flex my neck so he wouldn't push my head forward. Essentially, he carved a cross out of the back of my neck. It ended up being just empty space that then healed pink.
I have since had it fixed by another artist. This artist and others have told me many stories about the repairs they have had done on tattoos from Xanadu.
Maybe you will have a good experienced you choose to go here. I hope so. But please, check out other places and ask for honest opinions of his work from outside artists.
I wish I could say my first tattoo experience was great, as the tattoos I have gotten since then have been easy and awesome, but it was more like an assault that I should have stopped. read more
