I found the Rochester Indoor Golf Center. During my first simulator practice session I overheard a golf lesson being conducted in the next bay. The instruction being communicated was technically accurate, easy to understand, and being delivered by a professional golf instructor with obviously a lot of playing and teaching experience. Not a club pro or someone with a philosophy, but solid golf instruction and teaching experience. At the end of that first session I managed to schedule a lesson from Paul Pehler. I have had many lessons over the years with a lot of different golf instructors. I have never had a more enjoyable, challenging and productive golf lesson than what I received from Paul at Rochester Indoor Golf Center. The staff at Rochester Indoor Golf Center were all very knowledgeable and helpful. If you are looking for simulator practice, real instruction, or equipment, I can't recommend this place highly enough.

We tried out Swing Lab after attending the golf expo in Minneapolis and getting a buy one hour get…read moreone hour free. We were greeted and brought to our room. We brought our own clubs. Not sure if they provide clubs if you don't have them. They showed us how to use the system and set us up for a course. We opted to play a European course, St Andrew Old Course. I was in the long grass often. The system was easy to use. Hint, if you want to hit from forward tees, you have to set that up before you start the game. I was playing from the guys tees which put me at a huge disadvantage. You can bring in your own beers and snacks if you choose. They do have water but no other refreshments. We had a great time. Our two hours went fast. Will definitely be back.

Lots of mature trees define the holes and a fair number of sand traps, both in fairway and around the greens. Green fees are a little pricey but there are a number of discounts available. The pool here is fantastic - I love those laps lanes like there is no tomorrow! And eating on the patio is probably my favorite summertime lunch experience! I have even, hold on to your clubs, golfed here once. Yes, it did intimidate me but it is a great course. (This coming from a duffer, or maybe not even that good of a golfer.) But all of these terrific experiences were eclipsed recently when I attended a wedding here. Wow is all I can say! Great food, amazing staff, fireworks and a loving couple made for a magical experience. Oh, and Oreos and milk at 9:30 were just perfect for me! I live 5 hours away, I will never have the money to join and if I did my membership would probably be voted down by any sane member of the board but I think this is the coolest country club ever!

I'd like to shout out one of that managers, during our play, 3 other golfers with carts zigzagged out of play through several of our holes, backtracking, going through, and even crossed over 18 right in front of me as I was ready to tee off with no more than a glance. This was more just annoying and dangerous for them, so we didn't let it ruin our game! After, we just brought it to the attention of the manager, who was very understanding and reiterated that was not tolerated and would be dealt with. We never expected anything, just wanted to let them know and she returned to us with a certificate for another round of golf. She was incredibly nice and super helpful! Will most definitely return!

I typically receive acupuncture from Mayo Clinic in Arizona and Kate took the time to read the notes from my usual provider so she was well prepared for my appointment. It was a great experience. The spa is well structured for acupuncture -- heat lamps are available and they have a "panic" button you can press if you need help during your treatment. I highly recommend Kate, she's very knowledgeable and gentle. Masks are required. Tips are not accepted.
