Walking into Northeast Alternatives for the first time felt a bit like stepping into the unknown, I…read morehad zero frame of reference and wasn't sure what kind of vibe I'd get. Honestly, I went because a handful of my patients kept mentioning it, and a friend finally nudged me over the line. Glad I listened. First off, it's easy to get to and there's plenty of parking, which already puts it ahead of half the places I deal with in a given week. Inside, the process is straightforward, show your ID, pass through another set of doors, and you're in. No confusion, no awkwardness. What stood out right away was the staff. Everyone I've interacted with has been genuinely friendly and approachable. They don't talk at you, they talk with you. And they clearly understand that people are coming in for all kinds of reasons--medical, recreational, curious first-timers like me, and they meet you wherever you are without making it weird. I keep it simple, I'm a gummies guy. That's been my lane. But on my last visit, the guy at the counter suggested a tincture. Took his advice, tried it, and he was spot on. That kind of guidance goes a long way when you're still figuring things out. The space itself is clean, well laid out, and just... calm. No chaos, no pressure. They take their time if you have questions, and you never feel rushed out the door. Prices are solid, experience is easy, and the whole place has a relaxed, welcoming feel that makes you forget you were ever unsure about going in the first place. Safe to say, they've got a repeat customer.

They have good prices and good selection; however…read moresometimes it is quite dry, but that is a common problem in this area(because prices are so low?). Line can be long too. Those are the only bad things. Great prices, good service, and great selection. My guy Dennel hooks me up with the best product when I go in, thanks man! HINT: Always a busy parking lot here and like I said the line can be long but USUALLY you can get in and out pretty quick.

Also ingredients such as cinnamon and coriander and other herbs and spices. You help yourself and pour them into a bag, weigh it out and bring out up to the register and pay by the weight. I love it! No waste! They also sell the jars here needed to make my balms and salves. Living on Westerly for over 10 years, I must admit that parking downtown does scare me. There's never any spots. Although the handful of times I've decided to go to Herbwise I've gotten extremely lucky with parking right on front. I can't help you out here. I have no good tips or secrets for parking near here. I do know that right past the post office there is a small parking lot.

This place is great, it has an amazing selection of of natural products and everything in between…read more I could seriously spend hours just looking through everything they have there. They have natural foods, supplements, lotions, soaps and more. When I go in it's usually for a specific product that I'm looking for. She usually has it, or some variation of it. I just paid them a visit the other day to get some kind of topical headache remedy. Tylenol just wasn't working for me and I can't take anything else. She had two different types and I went with the most herb-y one, it was pricy but aren't all natural stores and products? They validate your ticket for parking if you can't get a park on the street, which you usually can't. Customer service is always friendly. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I had asked her to order a specific product for me and she would write it down saying that she would, she never did. Finally after checking back four separate times and her never having I gave up and just ordered it in bulk online. She could have just been honest and told me she didn't have intentions on ordering it in the first place and saved me the trip. Overall, this a good place.

They have a large variety of whiskeys, wines, and most other beverages you find at a liquor store. We had pleasant interactions with staff during our visit. One person stocking shelves helped me to find the Vermouth by walking with me over to the area, (not just pointing) and the cashiers were friendly and chatty. Staff and customers were masked up during this visit and there is plexiglass at the registers. The parking lot has plenty of spaces and there are carriages inside if you have a large order to purchase. It is a bit tough getting these carts in and out of the shop, so be prepared to need a bit of help with the two sets of doors, or bring help to carry the packages out of the shop. There are many places to buy your drink making supplies, and if you are looking for a wide selection and good prices, give Joyal's a try. It's the booze you are coming for, not the ambiance and they've got the goods.
