I chose Charles "Chuck" Tucker d/b/a Handymation LLC to install interior doors and closet doors…read morebecause of his excellent reviews. Sadly, Chuck's work and his subcontractor, Jose's work from Johnstown, Colorado, was shoddy and incomplete. Chuck messed up the paint and gashed the wood on some of the door jams he installed, and the trim around the doors that Jose installed has wide gaps, sloppy caulking, and the linoleum was not put back in place afterwards. When Chuck and Jose removed the old closet doors, they gashed the trim and paint, and they never installed the set of new closet doors. I called Chuck and he promised he would have Liz come fix everything and that he was really tired the day he installed the door jambs. I left a review on Google for Handymation, and they replied that they did not do the work I was referring to in my and to take it down, which I did so I could make sure I was reviewing the correct company. After reviewing my correspondence with Chuck and Handymation's website, I found that I did leave a request on their website on May 27th, and Chuck came out the next day to give me an estimate. So, I called them and spoke to Elizabeth, to ask why Handymation is trying to say they never did any work for me and she said that they did receive my request and Chuck is the estimator for Handymation, but he referred my work to subcontractors, and they can't refund me for incomplete work and damages because they subcontracted it out. I did, however, pay Chuck, not the subcontractors, because the bulk of work was done and Chuck promised Liz would be out to fix the damages and install the closet doors. When I spoke to Elizabeth (who is probably Liz) she said she was sorry she couldn't give me a better answer but she was not involved with my project and she just works the front desk. She also told me that Chuck is her boss and she will have him call me. The work took place in May and June. Here it is August, and I highly doubt I'll get any resolution from Handymation or Charles Tucker, but I am pretty sure Chuck will leave a reply to this review trying to intimidate me and denying any responsibility.

The drywall work doesn't look good at all. The painting looks ok in some spots but we have a lot of overspray in the bathroom we had to clean up. We also had overspray on a tv and vanity. The flooring turned out ok it has some spots i think could have been done better. The cabinets looked ok until i found out the new dishwasher was not installed correctly and i had to do it myself. When i removed the dishwasher i found damage to the new cabinets thankfully it is in a spot you can't see with the stove and dishwasher installed. The plumbing for the sink was an afterthought and a big hole was cut into the bottom of the cabinets. Update: Now that we have been back in the house for a bit i have recently discovered that I have stuff missing from my garage. Do not let these guys in your house unattended. It's really shitty that a guy has his house catch on fire and now has to replace stuff out of his own pocket!

My space for the deck was limited and would be close to a neighbor's fence. I needed someone who knew the city ordinances and could offer suggestions and ideas to get the most out of the available space. Justin was able to make suggestions that we had not thought of. Reasonable bid, and he got us on his calendar and got the deck built. The deck is more than we hoped for. Justin gladly added a change for a very reasonable charge to enclose the base of the deck with the same boards and spacing as the rest of the deck. This deck is solid, sturdy and looks great. WOW! Justin was communicative, hardworking, and honest. A 'Getter-done' kind of guy. Justin also fixed two gates for us. His list is long for the types of jobs he does.

An absolutely phenomenal experience painting our home! From the very beginning, meeting Ethan at…read morethe home show... All the way through to conclusion with Trent, the on-site crew leader. These folks did not miss a beat throughout the entire sequence of the project. The site walk to receive our proposal went as scheduled. (two other companies couldn't even make it on time) Once we received our quote, there was no pressure tactics sign. No upselling of any kind, they simply priced what I asked for. They left me unbothered for close to four weeks before I had finally made my decision with regard to which contractor I would use. AMAZING! Once I made my choice, I paid my down payment and they scheduled me. Abe came out at the time of our pre-project walkthrough. He assessed the condition of our home, which was abysmal at best, and helped work through technical details of how they would address the many issues my home had. He was kind enough to take the time and do AI modeling to assist us in making our final palette selection. The team announced their arrival a day before the work was to commence. The day of, Trent called to inform me of his exact time of arrival. Once he arrived, he took the time to walk the entire house with me yet again, just to go over all my concerns. Once all prep work was complete, Trent called me to afford me the opportunity to inspect all their pre-paint prep work. They didn't skimp on prep. At the conclusion of every day, Trent either texted or called to provide me a status of progress. This is freaking unheard of! they took five days for a two-story 1917 Victorian style home- three colors (body-accent-trim). I did not have a single item I could identified on my punch walk. Their work was simply impeccable! No over spray, no spilled paint, no paint on my windows, no paint drips on my concrete- NOTHING! They were not the cheapest, but I got absolutely everything that I paid for and then some. I had declined to paint our front door as it was going to be replaced. In the eleventh hour, my wife decided she would like to have the door painted, and Trent took it in stride and made it happen. Period. Stupendous customer service! I'm not a paid advertisement.
