We had two suites. They were absolutely amazing, so much room for our family of seven. The front desk was super helpful. I believe her name was Haley. She helped us with everything, including even a corkscrew for our wine. The rooms are spacious. The indoor pool is great and it also has a very large Jacuzzi. There is also a huge movie theater within walking distance and a diner that has fabulous food right outside of the hotel.

Hubby and I chose this hotel just for the historical interior decorations. The room was big and well-equipped. We had a nice, clean room. Amy at the front desk helped us with check-in and questions. There's a gift shop by the lobby in case guests want to buy Gettysburg's T-shirts or caps. The hotel has a swimming pool and jacuzzi. A gym is next to it. I liked the pool. It's a big pool, and I was the only one who was swimming and using the jacuzzi. The jacuzzi helps the body in many ways, so I always use it when I travel. We had breakfast in the breakfast room, a very nice breakfast room with full service. We will return to stay at the hotel. We heard they will do a renovation. That's cool, but we hope they don't change the interior looks, as it gives the feeling that we lived in the 1800s era on stage. Nice hotel!

The staff was nice. They were over booked. The housekeeper was doing the rooms fast. They have one restaurant and only had two servers they was overworked. When you order food or dine in they put 20% fee on your check. They also had a buffet for breakfast and dinner for the people that came on the buses for the ski trip guest. The rooms was nice. Everyday the food was different. They also had open bar every night. My husband ordered me a pink moscato and I really don't know what was in it, but I got sick. I couldn't drink anything else the rest of the weekend. That was fine with me. Some of the guest didn't have hot water in their rooms to take a shower. The front desk clerk told them the go take a shower in the swimming area. Our room didn't have no heat. We had the temperature up to eighty degrees. So we went to the front desk. And they said they didn't have no more rooms which I didn't ask him about a room. I just wanted to heat in the room. They told us that they only had one boiler running for the whole weekend. I told him that they should've had someone comeand fix it. People should have got a discount. The staff didn't even write down the room numbers or anything that the quest was saying nor did they checked it out. I think they just had a routine of saying the same thing over to all the guests. But the staff was acting like they didn't know what was going on. And the Hotel made a whole bunch of money this weekend. Some of the guests was hungry and the restaurant close early. People were scrambling trying to find out what to eat and nothing was nearby. But the pamphlet didn't have too much to offer. Because half of the restaurants didn't deliver to the hotel. They need to put a updated pamphlet in every room for the restaurant nearby that would deliver to the hotel. That will help out the restaurants and the hotel to get business. A movie theater in walking distance. But it was raining and real cold outside nobody wanted to go outside and walk in the rain. It was a little store tucked in the corner that nobody knew was there. They need to have a sign so people can locate the little store. Me and my husband found it by going to the front desk. Complaining about the heat. No workers in there working. You go in there and get your items and you to the front desk to pay. The pool area was nice. It was a heated pool and Jacuzzi. They had a lot of food, drinks, desserts . Only thing I was a little upset about they didn't have a lot of vegetarian options. So breakfast and dinner time I didn't eat because they didn't have any vegetables or fresh fruit options. The staff in the dining area was great they was cleaning off the table fast and they was helpful to the seniors. They have a lot of security.

This was an absolutely beautiful hotel. Rooms were clean, grounds were well taken care of, the staff was wonderful, and we really enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and the 1863 restaurant. We will stay here again.

We stayed in the king suite during Presidents Day weekend for a snow tubing trip. The staff was wonderful, the decor was beautifully done - almost felt like you were staying in the White House lol. When we entered, we were greeted with a pianist and cozy fireplaces. They offer cocktail hour and the restaurant on site was delicious! We also enjoyed the other amenities the hotel has to offer. Not too far from the Gettysburg outlets or downtown Gettysburg. Pleasant stay and will definitely be staying here again!

Lovely restored hotel. Decor fitting to area history. Everything was very clean. Hotel well equipped for large gatherings with much open area outside for tents and displays. Short drive to historical downtown Gettysburg with another hotel immediately next door for even larger conventions. Hotels visible immediately off highway 15. The downside: would appreciate signs in hotel lobby to indicate where elevators were and where concessions could be purchased. Staffing shortage noted in housekeeping- no service unless requested and no trash removal unless placed outside. I'm sure this is shortage is not any fault of the hotel but rather current economy. In conclusion, I would definitely stay here again.

I found (what I believe to be) the LAST hot tub in a Wyndham hotel. And it bubbles hugely! I also found the only hotel lobby in America with a full sized canon, vintage 1861. Pretty cool Rooms are perfect. We got a good price on our night. There is a fine dining restaurant. Did I tell you about the hot tub???

I stayed here for 2 nights in July of '24 for a state conference. At first glance, the hotel is beautiful. The historical touches are awesome, especially if you're into that. Which I am. But a lot was left to be desired when it came to the rooms. First, my tv didn't work. I struggled with that for a while before a tech finally came to assist. Thankfully, it was resolved. Then my mini fridge was on the fritz. There must have been a short or something because the light inside would flicker & beep out of nowhere at all hours. I ended up having to unplug it it was so annoying. & I couldn't keep my drinks cold. Also, it had leaked all over the carpet below it. Finally, the kicker... the WiFi was sporadic all 3 days of the conference. Which was awful for an event like this. It would come & go all day long. & when it was working, it wasn't actually working. Everyone was operating off jet packs. I also heard of instances of bed bugs just this morning. Would stay here again if I had to, but not if I could choose.

    Dog Friendly!

Not bad at all for a one night stop. Seems like a lot of conferences and weddings go down in here, plenty of parking spots though, so do not fear! Our room came equipped with a mini fridge (handy for our pups food!) coffee/tea amenities, ample towels, and a tiny wash set (shampoo/conditioner/lotion/bar of soap), and last but not least, a hairdryer on the back of the bathroom door. The king bed was very comfy! There's a $30 non refundable pet fee, and you have to sign the pet agreement upon checking in. All pet rooms are on the second floor. If you're blessed like us to have a dog that doesn't bark, you're good. However, some dogs are going to bark like crazy at anything and everything... so be prepared for that possibility. I do love how accommodating this hotel is towards dogs, the puppy pamper station on the ground floor is adorable - thank you for providing towels for snowy paws!

Everything was checked out online via Yelp, which was a nice confidence boost. I didn't want to make a mistake and end up with a nightmare stay. Next, the parking and the front desk entrance are at the rear of the building. It has a fascinating history. Throughout the hotel, there are historical paintings of Gettysburg. The restaurant that was part of the inn no longer serves breakfast, so we had to drive out for a bite. However, we planned to visit the battleground early in the morning, so this was no big issue. Also, please ignore folks who repeat what they've heard about ghosts at the Federal Pointe Inn. Besides, historians often write these people off as less reliable, and their accounts are open to individual interpretation. Like the game, you see on TV where folks sit in a circle, and a person would whisper something in the ear of another person, who would whisper it to the next and so forth, and it virtually had no resemblance to the original. Well, that sums up ghost stories. So, don't allow ghost stories to deter you from staying at the Federal Pointe Inn.

I was flying solo, so I stayed in the smallest (cheapest) room - Violet Room - and it was nice if not huge. Bed, bath, etc., were really nice. Room does have TV and wi-fi, but I was "on vacation" and did not use them that much. Mornings I went down, grabbed coffee, and sat out on the 2nd floor balcony reading and enjoying the view of the yard. Weather was great this visit, and this was hard to beat! The public spaces in the inn were plentiful on both 1st and 2nd floors, and I felt very comfortable. Gaslight's location is in the heart of Gettysburg, and everything but the battlefield itself is an easy walk. That included places to eat and get ice cream. I preferred this to being farther out, driving around, finding parking, etc. Hosts - Mike and Jennifer - were great, friendly, answered all questions, and helped with anything I wanted. If you are looking for a 9-room B&B experience with other nice people, want to enjoy the heart of the town of Gettysburg, and do not need a mega-hotel, the Gaslight Inn should be high on your list.

The establishment itself is of handsome construction, its brick walls bearing the quiet dignity of years well kept. The chambers are appointed with tasteful elegance, and though we have, in our travels, rested upon beds of somewhat greater softness, the comfort of the accommodations was by no means wanting. Yet it was at the breakfast table that the Inn's true excellence shone forth. The morning repast, prepared with notable skill by Mistress Patty and served by Hannah, was of such quality and abundance as to dispel any minor discomforts of the night. Their attentiveness and mastery of the kitchen rendered the meal a delight of the highest order, and I found myself most grateful for her gracious service. In sum, our stay proved exceedingly pleasant, and we departed with a sense of satisfaction and goodwill toward the proprietors. The Brickhouse Inn stands as a worthy refuge for the traveler, offering beauty, hospitality, and a breakfast most splendid indeed
