It's a lovely setting, in a charming building with helpful staff. We were sat by the window upstairs. I really want the green cinnamon and plum tea every day, it made me think of pie I had with chai tea in Scotland, the blood orange rooibos tea is also lovely, as was the mango. Fruit scones are obviously nicer than plain ones- and these ones (of a generous size too) almost taste apple-y with the addition of mixed spice.

I love the vintage style decor, bright, beautiful and welcoming. They even have small tables and chairs for the smaller children. The cream teas are excellent. There is a vast selection of teas to choose from and matching teapots too, i.e. the Rooibos Orange Cream would come in an orange teapot and the Rosé would be in the pink teapot. There are black teas, white teas, green teas, herbal and fruit and decaff. The scones and cakes are all homemade. The warm scones with its light and crumbly texture are just delicious with the fresh clotted cream and jam. Unlike no other tearooms, you can pour and pour your tea, and like magic, the tea seems to be bottomless from the teapot. If you would prefer hot chocolate, this comes in a pot too! The tea rooms help fund maintainable of the buildings, as do tours of the 'hospital'. Note, it is not a hospital but the original meaning of the word hospital meant accommodation for needy, elderly etc. I went there with my niece who was visiting Warwick for the first time as it is a very quaint old tea room and they have really good cakes and beautiful tea pots etc. We sat inside, although if you pay to look around the rest of the place you are also able to sit outside by the lawns. The place is quite small and may not be so easy to get around if you have a wheelchair, Pram etc. The tea and coffee were excellent and the cakes delicious. Staff are very friendly. You pay at a hatch on the way out and they know exactly which bill to bring without you having to tell them. Worth visiting but note, they are not open in the winter so check opening times if visiting specially.

The colours of the leaves at this time are spectacular, well worth a look. The Gardens themselves are made of individual Victorian gardens, very unusual, and different from the norm. A greenhouse there displays traditional house plants from the Victorian age. Worth a look. The place has been renovated over the last few years and is maintained by the residents and Hill Close association. Previously the site was derelict, quite an amazing feat! We found the numerous free tree varieties especcially interesting and the plant shop there sold many locally grown plants at good value. The idea you can 'buy what you've just seen' I thought, was great. The tea room there is delightful, in keeping with the 'Victorian' theme. The place is easy to find, located near to Warwick race course if you fancy a flutter! It is open all weekends throughout the year, the best time to visit in my opinion.
