Their workspace was always clean and thoughtful for our pets and family to traverse to and from the house while they worked on the project. And most importantly, the finished gate and fences were clean, high quality and polished... and better than we imagined! Our second project we just finished this past month was our deck (and roofing as our garage sits underneath our deck). They replaced our leaky wooden deck with new beams, proofing/coating, tiles this time (the whole nine) and it is perfect- complete with polished iron, a side gate to match our existing gates/aesthetic and touch ups where needed. Tal was very transpararent from the beginning and made us aware of the pros and cons for every material and promptly finished the whole project within two weeks. He went above and beyond-communicated every step of the way. We trust them with any home project and would hire him and his team again in a heartbeat.

We had communicated that we would like to see quotes preferably for vinyl, aluminum, or stainless steel. After multiple messages back and forth since then I still have not received the estimate at all as of 7/25/26. While I appreciate the attitude of the rep that came to do the estimate, after all this hassle of getting a simple railing installed, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Nobody ever reached out to ask what I need, the design I am looking for, nothing. Not a single call, email, or text was sent prior to the cancelation text. Extremely unprofessional. Be mindful of who you do business with because this company is absolutely terrible. I am so glad they're "out of range". I dodged a bullet here!

He said that the weak hinge was a problem causing the gate to not be even and that I needed a stronger hinge. The repairmen came by within a few days but an hour early when I may not have been there. He welded the new hinge and the problem was still there. The gate wouldn't close because the space wasn't there. The repairmen said he was only there to weld. He called the company to talk to me about this issue. The company called me and said everything looks good right? It was not. He and the repairman had a long conversation over the phone because he had to be somewhere else. The repairman after checking the closure, stated that a space/hole needed to be cut into the wooden pole to push the metal plate in. He ended up putting in the hole and it does close now. The repairman did really seem to try to fix the gate. Overall 3.5 stars. Positives: The initial service call and repair time was quick. The gate looks fixed and repairman who came out seemed nice and tried to make things right. Negatives: Putting in the new hinge didn't really seem to fix anything and felt like an extra cost still. On the phone, they tried to explain that they have a lot of experience with these gates and that the hinge needed to be replaced. With all that experience, why did they not see this other problem. After they fixed the gate, I then recalled that a different gate company in the past (for a different issue) told me the pole was the problem. Maybe I will use that company in the future instead. The company seems to track reviews closely. I got a call about my review within 15 minutes of posting. They wanted to find out what happened.

He and his father came out to my house, listened to what I was trying to accomplish, took measurements, and then went back to the shop to figure out the best way to build it. About a week later they returned for a test fit, and everything lined up perfectly. The following week they brought it back powder coated, and I couldn't have been happier. The workmanship was outstanding--beautiful finish, clean welds, and it looked like it had always belonged there. Just as important, Kevin and Hamlet are genuinely nice people. They're easy to work with, communicate well, show up when they say they will, and clearly take pride in what they do. I would recommend H Ironworks without a second thought. Five stars all the way.
