I fell in love with this park immediately when I saw it while driving to a friend's house. That love became like when I went there.
Wuthering Heights Park must be based on the movie, because there are no high parts in this part of Beaumont. It's a specific kind of park: not for church picnics, not for volleyball tournaments, not for getting a gnarly workout done. Instead, it's a wooded tract of land that must has been designated when this area was developed in the 1930s. Several paved trails going through the park, so it's a good place for you and/or your dog to take a jog. If you stay on the trail, there's no need to worry about mud after the frequent rains. A lot of picnic tables scattered throughout. Very close to the freeway.
Wuthering Heights Park is good for a jog, lunch away from the office, a date with your sweetie, or a photo shoot. As for the way Beaumont was back in the day, you can see that in the undeveloped piney woods that are so dense you can't see more than a few feet into it. This park is definitely developed, but not too much. It's pretty, but not developed as a typical park, and that's intentional. So it may not work for you, and hopefully this review will help you decide if this park will work for you. read more
