He speaks to each person directly, treating them like valuable human beings no matter what their cognition may be. He has great follow up and actually performs a real physical exam which I am finding more and more doctors do not do. He hasn't missed a diagnosis on any of my family members that had medical problems (not just there for routine exams). He actually calls you the next day or so to check out how you are doing and let you know the results of any tests, even if they are normal!!! So I just feel blessed that not only do I get the opportunity to be insured for therapy but that I found a therapist that has truly changed my life. When I first started to look for a therapist, I felt like there were no resources to help me find a good match. And I know finding a good one is like finding a good lawyer, it can make or break you. I have been seeing Mary for omg I think a year now?! And my God, has my life TRANSFORMED. The coping mechanisms, the way I look at my struggles, the way I communicate, my anxiety, I can't thank her enough. I know there are like doctor patients protocols but I always think about how I would literally invite her to my wedding and just always want to send her gifts to show her how grateful I am. I'm of course not perfect and still working on myself, but every time we meet up for a session now and I'm under stress, it doesn't affect me like it used to. She is SO validating but at the same time GIVES solutions!!!!! Like if I have a conflict in business or relationship, I share the conflict, and she not only teaches me how to cope and reframe it to better my emotions toward it - she will literally suggest an actionable solution. It's the best. I didn't know therapy also came with someone who's rooting for you to succeed in every aspect of life. It's so obvious how invested she is in her patients lives, and it's so obvious how focused and intentional she is in every session. Because it was so so hard for me to find a therapist for years, I hope this review helps others find her. I'm 25, live alone, in a relationship, and own a business. I struggle with major anxiety and at the beginning of our sessions with moderate depression. I can now proudly and happily say I am pretty average with anxiety now, don't have any depression, and working on loving myself more and learning how to re teach myself how to stand in my truth and not have my feelings and emotions so dictated by other people. I thank God for Mary, she has truly truly changed my life for the better. Not to mention, shes literally SO FUNNY. I literally always feel so light and fluffy after we speak, she can totally meet me where I'm at. She's so relatable and literally SO FUNNY I CANT STRESS ENOUGH her reactions to things we talk about truly make my day. She is seriously such a cool person. My best friend recommended me to Mary and every time her and we have a problem, we will text each other about the issue and we ALWAYS SAY "have you told Mary? She would know the answer" and on our therapy days we text each other "omg I see Mary today thank God" Seriously, I truly love her and just know my life wouldn't be what it is without her. You are truly changing my life Mary and I look in the mirror with so much love and gentleness toward myself now. I NEVER EVER thought that could be possible. Seriously. Words can't even describe my gratitude. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

Let me say this up front, Dr. Lee is NOT my physician but he is my grandparents and my uncle's…read morephycisian. I am always bringing them in to see Dr. Lee and usually sit in on their appointments to make sure everything goes okay. So I thought I would write them a review from a non-biased, indirect patient, point of view. There is a lot of parking in the Queen's POB 2 (Parking is $1.00 every half an hour after validation). He is located on the 3rd floor, suite 303. Walking into his office there was a small waiting area with magazines to look at. The receptionist greeted us and we had a seat. Usually we're waiting another 15-20 minutes after our appointment time. This, I don't really like considering we're paying for parking and you set an appointment time and that's when I'm expecting to see the doctor. The reason I gave Dr. Lee one star is because of his service and people skills. As a doctor you are always interacting with people (your patients). This is a very important skill to have especially if your patients are depending on you, as a doctor with their health. Like I said, I've sat in multiple appointments with my relatives making sure everything is taken care of and I am somewhat appalled with how he interacts with my relatives. When asking questions he is always sighing in between questions like he's exasperated or irritated or something. I don't know if he's always having a bad day or always stressed but that's not the way to interact with your patients. Very blunt and very unprofessional in my opinion. I really hope he isn't like this with all his patients but this is just what my experiences are with him. Others may have a different opinion. Some of my relatives have a hard time hearing him and it seems like when he has to repeat himself he gets more irritated. If he reads this, I hope he takes this as constructive criticism and doesn't takes it personally. Does Dr. Lee have credentials? Absolutely, and I can't take that away from him. I saw his certificates up on the wall in his office. He graduated from University of Hawaii at Manoa in May of 1979 and has been practicing officially since February of 1981. So he has been practicing for almost 31 years. He must be doing something right, I personally... I'm just not seeing it. Final Comments: I personally don't recommend him because of my above reasoning. Hopefully somebody else has had a better experience than I have. Overall Rating: "POOR" Not the doctor for me. Sorry.

He is very thorough, listens to everything you say, and explains every reason for why he is doing certain things or sending you for labs. As with any thorough good doctor, he never rushes through his patients appointment so with that you might have a wait of 20-30 ish minutes after checking in for your appointment before you see him. Please be understanding with this and plan accordingly. He talks thoroughly with his patients so all their needs are met and you are not his only patient. After trying to get a appointment with Naoko "boob guru" for my sons latching problems for a whole…read moreweek, I decided to turn to mothers milk at kapiolani. They immediately didn't help me and just differed me to see Dr. Pager. Once I got home from mothers milk, extremely frustrated and emotional, I called Dr. Pagers office and they had something for me with in the next two days. (Unlike mothers milk I had to wait over a week) So of course it try to look her up for all her reviews. I didn't find any on yelp but I did find on google. What I found was scary! Loads of bad reviews, saying the wait was long, she talked down to the mothers and fathers of the child, so on so on. So I told my husband about it, we were a little hesitant to go to the appointment, but we still decided to try it out. Once we walked in I noticed it wasn't the cleanest office I've been to... But I wasn't about to just walk out that very moment. I also noticed all over the walls were articles & facts on breast feeding. So her nurses, or assistants (I'm not sure what exactly they were) checked my son and i's weight and temperature while asking LOADS of questions. Finally once we got into a room, my husband told me they didn't even wash their hands before handling my son (yuck) I must say, we did wait for about 45min-1 he for her to finally see us. Once she did! We were there for 2 more hours! SHE IS REALLY PASSIONATE ABOUT HER JOB. She sat down and asked us a bunch of questions about our marriage, pregnancy, birth so on, really worked with my son and I, at got him to do it perfectly! No pain at all! (Thank goodness) and she didn't talk down to my husband! She was extremely nice to him and even asked how he is doing as a father. A few days later I was having issues with my son wanting to feed for hours straight. I called the office and they asked if I was able to make it in that very day! So of course I rush over to see her. We didn't wait very long this second time! And she talked to us on how to speed things up! Also from all the notes she took the first appointment she wrote up a full story of us, and sent it out to his pediatrician, mothers milk (which she did call to find out about the lady who didn't help me at all) and my OBGYN! (Like I said she is very passionate) I really recommend everyone to see her if you're having lactation problems! Even though her office is a little dirty, and the wait is a little long she is well worth it.
