I wouldn't even call it a bedside manner I would call it pier decency and I'm so lucky to have worked with this funeral home. I was surprised at all the positive reviews On yelp about a funeral home. I thought maybe I would be the first one to write and I thought maybe that would be hard and an odd thing to do. but obviously everyone feels the same way I do but ig not And I just wanted to mention that I know open casket funeral for someone I love has always been a concept that is too hard for me to wrap my head around for fear that they would make up my love one as they saw fit instead of as who everyone really new in real life. So it turns out the most thoughtful part of the experience for me was the care and dedication to who my love 25 really was and this was showed through the staff because we had an open casket and they truly captured the essence of who I lost. West Funeral Home did a wonderful job and were attentive at the service itself checking frequently to make sure everything was going well. I was very pleased. They also took a picture of the headstone a couple of weeks after the services and sent it to me to see the engraving of the date of my mothers death.

Fargo National Cemetery is a small National Cemetery, a little less than 5 acres, dedicated in…read more2019. This location was created as part of the plan to give veterans living in rural communities the same access to national cemeteries as those in large urban areas. I often wondered about a situation where family members needed to drive long distances and the hardship that might create. The Rural Initiative that created this space has helped fix that. It's a nice place, out in the country, very much in a rural area but with room for growth. It's quiet and makes it easy to focus on the purpose. It has the same precisely laid grave stones and like newer veterans cemeteries. also has a columbarium. Each memorial had the flag, and in some cases, the personal touches left by friends and families that went beyond a simple flower bouquet. On this Memorial Day weekend, there was a steady stream of visitors, and the grounds keepers were out early doing their best to make things ready for the Memorial Day services. I like this small cemetery. It's more personal than its larger counterparts, and is an easy stop for paying respects..
