I felt like I had done something wrong by the girl at the Fairport bank on Saturday. She scolded me and said it's 'Who do I work with? I work with an amazing co-host.' She blamed me, indicating that it was my fault, calling me a 'dumb old man.' I immediately walked out of the bank, checked on my dog, and came back in, and she was still berating me. She was talking to the bank manager, I believe, and then I said I have to go, I can't take this anymore from you. On Monday I called to report the fraud, and they made me feel terrible. I began to cry, telling them I don't have a lot of money monthly, and the money was stolen from me; they knew it, but they laughed. They laughed as I cried. I hung up, but fortunately, I had recorded the call. So this is all going to my lawyer, and we'll see how it goes. ESL, thanks.

So, thanks to my wife's brother-in-law I was in, with the rest of my family soon to follow. It was a pleasant change from the corporate banking world... gone were the onerous fees that followed us whenever our balance dipped below a certain level (which DOES happen occasionally!). Over the years we've used ESL's services for a wide variety of financial products and have found ESL to be excellent financial partners. This branch is no exception... fast friendly service and professional demeanor with every encounter. Unlike some other banks (ahem, Key Bank), the managers of ESL do NOT ask if we want a home equity loan every time we see them. We appreciate that! I came here about a simple application, and was told there would be an hour wait. I honestly had no idea it would be that hard to talk to someone at a bank. They found out what I was there for, and squeezed me in before their next appointment, and got me in and out in like 10 minutes. That was great. I don't know if it was a fluke or if they're usually that busy, but if you're doing anything other than a deposit or withdrawal, you might want to call ahead and get an appointment.
